I tried listening but that guest was a goof.  Hoagie asked a pretty good question about why humans throughout history have been so drawn to gemstones.  Dude misses the point entirely and instead boasts about his cool life selling rubies to Saudi princes and hanging out poolside with jewelry-shopping celebs.  I turned it off before I could get to any 19.5 volcano connections.

Hoagie just claimed that NASA's reporting on the Oumuamua asteroid was part of a grand conspiracy and "mishigas".  He's tying this all together with Carl Sagan's Contact, Tabby's Star, ancient Mesopotamia and the American Revolution, so the insanity/'quality' is rising rapidly.

LOL good stuff.  Looks like he'll be connecting more dots tonite, with "Hawaii’s Kilauea Eruptions At 19.5 ... And Other Hyperdimensional Symbolism".

Last night during the first half of the show with the space guests, old Bill the AAA called in after disappearing for months.
As usual he asks his long multipart questions that even had sub-parts within the questions A,B,C.
How the guests could remember all of his questions when he reads it all of at once is beyond me...

Yes, one Bill the AAA, and, as of tonite, two Cleopatra Lady calls in a row.

Zardoz!   A guilty movie pleasure for me.   It is almost brilliant, yet preposterous and hysterical.  Is it profound?  Do I care?  No; but I love it, and own the dvd.

I could not have given a more accurate review myself lol.

Oh my God....
The plot thickens.... What the shit.... Now I need to ask him about the credability of Steven Greer.... I expect laughter after I explain.

The dude must be tenured by now, pretty much can say whatever he wants methinks.   ;)

Yes, Rosegirl.

Dammit I had one too many martinis again.  Rosegirl mentions and visions of Zardoz.

I tend to agree.  Love the long format. I blame Noory for the split show format taking hold.  That said, some guests you really don't want to hear for 3 or 4 hours.

You gotta problem with 4 hrs. of Joshua Pee Warren, Bub?

I find Heather more relaxing for the middle of the night, plus she plans to keep the traditions of Ghost to Ghost, and New Years predictions etc.

And cats.  Don't forget cats.

Dave sorry to hear about your technicagistical glitches.  After I pee the dog I'll send you a care package with spirit-cleansing candles and an extra dump button.

So I'm loving Dave on DMDN, but I like listening to Coast on the weekends.  What's everyone's go-to for a free online stream of Coast?  The Canuck stations don't carry it anymore, so I need a need URL.  Anyone?

Another option, just check out the stations listed on the C2C site.  I used this to find streams carrying Somewhere In Time on Sat. nites.  But along the way I found a TN station called, not kidding, WGNS lol. !!  :D

Is she being so enthralling that nobody cares to post or is just plain dead here?

Before all the drama, that's how her thread was.  It could go a week or two w/o a single post except random drunken video links.

Yeah, the Blitz.  The freaking Blitz.  ::)

Remember back then, buying into all that build-up?  Sigh ... live and learn.

...I always thought Redacted was an act  unlike some here who think that was her true personality .

There is one little oddity that struck me back then.  In all her time here, she only started exactly one thread.  And it was the Blitz.  And it wasn't until later we found out she wasn't just promoting Art, but indirectly herself as his new producer.  Struck me as a little iffy at the time.

Yep I have my own list of things I believe could spiral (and how) but I won’t even put them out in the universe. I don’t want people getting ideas.

Yeah I have a couple too.  Ok, pact of silence.  Nite all.

The one or few disruptive or enabling technology(ies) that catches everyone by surprise and spirals out of control. That scares me.

Gray goo territory.  They should make Cat's Cradle required reading for scientists.

That's it! Now you're selling yourself on it. Boy, the NLP is really cooking tonight! :D

Dude no it scares the bejeebies out of me.  Could end up a Jurassic Park situation on a much bigger scale.

What other animal would be stupid enough to knowingly obsolete itself from the equation? None! We're the only ones stupid enough to attempt it. ::)

I think maybe the way it happens is alot of independent minds making advancements in their little corners, with no one actually seeing the cumulative effect of all the inter-dependencies till it's too late.  The singularity deal basically, catching everyone by surprise.

I believe that whole deal is a scam to have an IPO and then bail.  You heard it here first.

I believe it is really stupid to litter the galaxy as well.

C'mon man, plenty of room for a measly billion nano-chips out there.  :D

Let's not be in too much of a hurry to be just like China, shall we? I really don't like this man. >:(

I can't tell if he's actually for it, or just amused by it.  Both are pretty disturbing though.

No. The woman from Goddard.

Damn I missed that.  Btw Amy's interview with the Project Starshot guy was one of my faves in recent memory.  I should suggest him to Michelle.

Is she the one Amy interviewed?

Are you maybe thinking of Tabby of Tabby's Star fame?  She was a great guest as well.
