She takes it back from pole to pole, so even where there is no night.

All we really have is her word for the whole ''legacy'' shtick.  All Art said was he gave her advice from time to time.

Actually that's a good point.  Other than his canned promos, and admonishing the naysayers here, I don't recall him doing much to publicly usher forth her reign.

Good for you.  Mr. Rogers needs to stand firm on his standards, unlike a confused, reprobate squirrel. ;)  ;D

You know a week from now I'll blame this whole episode on a turmeric binge.

... If there is an award to be awarded, it should be to you and the others on this forum that can handle listening to the dolt for more than an hour.  ...

Lol an hour?  I usually only tune in for a few mins. to catch the news goofs or Petey Davenport with the orange lights review.  An hour would only be achieved with a handful of bandwidth-heavy guests like LMH or Nick Redfern who come loaded with good stories to steamroll George with.

Btw before a few pages ago, I didn't even know there was a radio hall of fame.  I put about as much stock in the opinions of such institutions as in the marketing blurb on a hemorrhoid cream box.

"MITD" is the only show she knows, and the only show she was taught to do.

She learned how to talk radio, but only MITD radio.

Wow. This guest is nuts but hilarious. I think he covered about all C2C topics in one swoop! And he is adament that bigfeet in orb form touch him all over but not sexually!! That NEVER happened. An 'over unity' machine that is used by bigfeet to open portals to rescue trapped bigfeet from a dieing planet due to a red dwarf! They put a wormy thing in his brain. Which really is a female bigfoot in orb form inside his brain that protects him.

I only caught like the first fifteen mins. of this guy but yeah he was way far out even for Connie.  The interstellar bigfoot conspiracy just went public.

I don’t think anyone that is still playing the game should be eligible for any Hall of Fame.

That would put off GN's accolades for some time.  He once said he'd be hosting Coast till we had a colony on Mars.

I guess Art Bell's authority was so great, it superseded the law. ...

Correct.  See, he handpicked her to be the official heir to his legacy - he handed her the keys to the kingdom!  This is metaphysical stuff man, and appeals to a higher law, regardless of whether there's like supporting legal documents n' stuff.

I'm sure the guy that gave her $600. for a year of subscription might want his money back...

Nope remember when he said in that grandfatherly tone "Use it for whatever you need, dear".  Guess she'll be blowing it on a lawyer to tell her she's got no case.

Once again, I've fallen into Bizarro BellGab.  Almost 3000 pages of Jorch suckage and BG'ers are posting on the George Noory Sucks thread about their Radio Hall of Fame votes for Jorch Noory...

I know it's warped, but he deserves some kind of award just for friggin endurance.  I mean he's been playing the long game man.  While all these other dramas have come and gone, Ol' Reliable just kept quietly marching along, showing up every nite, reading his goofy news, half-assing interviews, chit-chatting with Corny and the gang, selling his beets - while still having energy for weekend karaoke time.

Pick the bones out of this verbatim gobbledygook that fell from the lips of the prospective Hall Of Famer tonight:

'The number of houses killed and destroyed by Killauea's Hawaii's big island earthquake and volcano has jumped to 117 from 83.'

Maybe see if you can cancel that vote, Zeeb. Any seal of approval for this incompetent charlatan appals and infuriates me.

...This is the only show I know how to do, the only show Art taught me to do, and it is only right that I carry on what I continued to create after Art handed me the keys to The Kingdom of Nye...

Truly nonsensical.  Her show is basically just her talking to people, like pretty much every other podcast.  Yet she sounds convinced she can only do this within Art's hallowed, pre-built show structure complete with his show name, bumpers, promos, references, etc.  Very unhealthy attachment to the whole conceit of carrying on the legacy.  Hope someone can talk some sense into her but that only seems to make her double-down on the crusade talk.

Keith owns it. It was never Art's to give. It's more of Heather's delusion.

You're getting bogged down in trivial legal details.  All the courts will care about is how she was handpicked to be the one true vessel to carry forth his legacy in an unbroken chain of succession - this supersedes any so-called copyrights and btw also includes full use of all shed amenities.

I dunno if this is an RIAA thing or not, but it's bizarre to me that HW thinks it's essential for her show to play friggin Dancing Queen for the millionth time.  Personally the only time I want to hear those songs anymore is on old Art shows.  (Btw that goes for his voice too.)

George I signed up to Bellgab (then Coastgab) 5 years ago, specifically to vent about you and Coast.  Well dammit but if things haven't come full circle in all that time.  I used to rip on you here almost nightly, but time has moved on, and my feelings have mellowed.  I've gotta hand it to you man, you put the time in, consistently showing up night after night, week after week, doing your 4 hours (or 3.5 on Fridays).  You wily old fox, you've managed to simply outlast my hostilities at this point.  Well played.  Everyone, I just voted to put George Noory into the National Radio Hall of Fame.  Forgive me, PB.

If it wasn't for the bizarre tweets and often incomprehensible messages by her fans, Paul & Ella especially, and the drunkenly mumbling and songs by Wolfman, Heather would be worthless to listen to. No matter how many painted rocks she receives from fans in Montana etc.  Norry's inadvertent humor and showing up every night, except holidays and weekends, make him marginally better than Heather.

Yes, "marginally", that was the word I was looking for.  He's absolutely marginally better.
