On Heather's FB page:

Steven Broderson:  So is there two mitd

Heather Wade:  No. There's only one and when I get back on the air that will be crystal clear.

Definitely need to split the threads.  I don't want to miss these gems.

Difficulties aside, I enjoyed the guest.

He kinda reminds me of one of my faves, Nick Redfern.  Kinda.

I hate Skype but Skype is better than cell phones.

Someone was saying that they liked skype for guests, but not callers, which kinda makes sense since skype makes people sound like they're almost in the same room with you.

I was quite surprised that there wasn’t more photoshopped gifs appearing when she finally posted that.

Perhaps they were kept, um, private.

Aldous knows what she looks like.  He says she's not ugly.

I'm not saying she is either, but I guess she didn't match whatever fantasy standards these guys had from hearing her voice.

Morbid curiosity.  Wanting to know if she is a real person.  Why just the one picture?  Will we be able to tell if Paul and Ella are right and is she really Art Bell now?  Serious questions.

I don't know if anyone remembers this, but around the time her star was on the rise several members here - I won't name names - were relentlessly begging her for a pic.  To the point where it made alot of us uncomfortable.  Until she posted that first pic, then they all shut up.

Help me out plz.  Heather took arts show and ran MITD to the ground, lost most of the radio affiliates, then quit.  So now shes on a podcast "radio" network.   Does LNM have radio affiliates?   How can one be a radio host if they aren't on the radio?

I have no clue about that stuff.  Actually I don't even know what network I was listening to, I just clicked on a stream link someone posted earlier.  I do know that that Vara guy sounded like an obsequious goof.

Not for the first time I've picked up on kind of a persecution syndrome thing with HW.  That may whip up support with her most loyal fans but it's not a fun vibe to listen to.  The real pros just laugh that stuff off and get back to work.

But it's not about her.

It's odd because she talks about how it's her show, and she's gonna do it her way, etc. but she's got an almost fanatical allegiance to doing things according to Art's rules.

They are acting like she's going to be the star of the network.

Art molded her like clay into a future talk radio star.  She is following in his image as he taught her.  The sacred line of succession is unbroken and indisputable.  Success is guaranteed regardless of anything you might think you're hearing when she talks.

What a fun night of radio listening!

Your unit was smaller than the alien's?

So when you touched the alien's unit...

PLOT TWIST!  Joshua Pee

shoutouts PG, RT and the ever debonair zeebo

I know this is blasphemy, but it reminded just a little of late 1990s Art Bell when he'd get a crazy caller on open lines.

This was good.

Great fun tonite, and seeing you post LV is the icing on the cake!

that's unsettling af... wonder if he's still there making all the usual stops, no one knows you ever left

I know it's weird, like a parallel universe.  I mean I know it's not that, but you still wonder if someone's out there living your alternate timeline life.

Yeah, but that's emotional bullshit, lashing out and retreating to your safe space. Ad hominem when you get painted into a corner. Blah.

Agree that ad hominems, while they may be fun and all, have zero debate value.

I think he also said he had a doppleganger spooking local puerto ricans by going everywhere he went just before him?

I vaguely remember that one actually!  Btw, I actually had my own doppelganger for awhile where I used to live.  Happened twice where people were convinced I had just left the store and returned for some reason.  The second time they kept asking me where I'd hidden my grocery bags and how I changed my clothes so fast.   ???

I really want Dave to have Ed Dames on...just to humiliate him. Maybe have Hoagie AND Dames on at the same time.

Dames would get thumped but Hoagie is invincible.  He just can't be broken.

Yeah I'm no JP Dub fan, and yet I'm sticking around.  Is it possible a good host is tipping the scales?
