ACE of CLUBS

Age 65 isn't old anymore ......
The early 'baby boomers' are that age and older now.
There are more healthy vibrant people in this age group now than there was in the same age group, say, 30 years ago.

Does Art still smoke?
Is his back under control?
Is he somewhat active?
And most important ..... does he have an enthusiastic outlook?

I believe that if Art Bell has addressed his health and taken the necessary steps to help his body/mind ..... he could go on to do a full-time slot, a Monday - Friday type of show.  George Knapp would make a great weekend host.

Wishful thinking? ...... maybe.

I hope Art has been taking care of his back and he can now sit and do more than a show every once in awhile.

Wasn't that one of the reasons he quit in the first place?
Art explained that when he returned to host c2c weekends a couple years after he retired in early 2003.
Art said he lost a lot of weight and that seemed to solve his back pain problems...

Hmmmm....Is sum things going on here?

I thought it was just Snoory after he forgot to dye...

Helps to have a few hundred g's for cosmetic surgery.  Gravity more relentless than the toughest trainer.

TO CAPTAIN NOORY:
Time to SURRENDER to the Scorpion Army, your time on the air these days are an overstay of your welcome! Your intelligence insults even this teacher of slow-witted inner city youth! General Bell we await your arrival announcement! Time to return the airwaves to sanity, and return radio to a place for those with more than 3 active brain cells! All the Scorpion Army needs are it's marching orders, and George Noory's sole presence becomes a Mike Siegal past!

Usagi

I'm probably in the minority here... but I feel that the Scorpion Army dispatches lose their URGENCY and their TELEGRAPHISH appeal without the CAPSLOCK CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL on.

But maybe that's just me.

What a positive outlook, Eddie!  That's inspiring.

Hey, Fort... just a suggestion... the CONSTANT USE OF UPPERCASE LETTERS IS CONSIDERED THE MARK OF AN AMATEUR.  It is the equivalent of shouting.  I know you are clearly excited about your various offerings on this forum, but, really, does every damn thing HAVE TO BE CAPITALIZED?
Bad behavior is quickly remedied by blocking the offender.  Just a thought.

I'm all about the good vibes and positive energy! Especially the type Fort Rock gives to us. And goodness, does he ever give it to us.

Let's not forget the late, great Paul Harvey who signed a 10 year, $100 million dollar contract at the age of 82 and continued to broadcast until shortly before he passed at the age of 91. Even if it was for shorter segments, nevertheless, I just don't see this being the factor so many others do. Art's been kept off the air by family/personal concerns on one side and creative/business issues on the other. If he's resolved those enough to return to the air, and I believe he has, then good for him, and for all of us--and hopefully not so good for the Mothership, its captain, and its poop deck swabber.

FORT ROCK: I know you're a Star Trek fan, but do you also like Star Wars? if so, you should check out a site called www.supershadow.com, it's totally up your alley.

yeah, but blocking people on this forum sucks because you still see their name when they post, and you also see the content of the posts when someone quotes the offending user.

Sadly this is the case. I've had fartrock blocked for quite a while, but people sure like to quote him. I'm not so annoyed by his posts anymore, but I'm more worried that he is going to post something illegal or just downright stupid that I'd rather not look at. Probably just a troll, but he seems unstable.

When I see a Fort Rock post, it is just so over-the-top, I admit I think it is funny.
Not so much the post, but more so the immediate response from people that are just outraged at his rantings.
And the goofy picture looking back with no shame. I admit, the absurdity of the whole thing I find entertaining.
I don't block any body. Too much fun. At least he likes Art Bell so in his own, strange way, he is okay.

He also has great admiration for the Coastgab posters despite our responses, I believe having said the Coastgab members are among the top 15% in intelligence among Coast listeners.

CampsieNP

And I just learned he is an Inner-City teacher?? You gotta admit, that is funny too.

onan

In all candor, many and I would hazard more than 60% of this forum is in the top 20% of intelligence. Sadly that includes many that often disagree with me.

gandalf50

This article seems to suggest Art may host a show that isn't necessarily overnights. I personally doubt it.

If/ when Art returns I hope his contract becomes public, or this forum will turn in part to "When will Art retire for the 100th time"?

That is not a news article of any credibility. It is simply a blog entry by some guy who doesn't necessarily know any more than we do.

This.

The guy does not have any "new" information or any sources other than Art's Facebook and Twitter and possibly the rantings and ramblings of us truly on Coastgab.

Hardly Pulitzer Prize winning journalism.
