Why we need him back
Of all the things to dump on CNN about, he goes off on the Royal Baby coverage??  And the subject of almost all of his postings in recent years when fans wanted to know what he's up to...his kid, of course.

REMEMBER GENERAL BELL RETURNS SOON TO A RADIO STATION NEARBY!

it's easier to make predictions when they are almost spelled out for you straight from the horses mouth isn't it?

I think Art forgets the play by play we received when Asia was born.

I actually agree with his sentiment but glass houses and throwing stones and all that.

I had exactly the same thought, not to mention before Asia was born,  where and when she was conceived. I agree about CNN, but yeah glass houses.

Why does everyone think age has anything to do with it?......
It has a tremendous amount to do with energy, stamina and resilience. Plus as we age we become less willing to disrupt our schedules. And then there's the sheer will to do something that is real work, a decade after you last did it, with no real monetary need to do so. If Art is truly thinking about returning to radio (which remains to be seen) this could easily be a case of his eyes being bigger than his stomach. The idea of doing overnight radio may be much more enticing than the reality.

But then his wife's pre-nup may have vested and he won't have to stay awake in the day anymore for his daughter's sake, since she'll be in the P.I.

If cnn is talking about captain crunch is not a real captain, who really cares? Captain crunch is not a real person. it must be a really SLOW news day. I think that this is one of the freaking signs of the end of the world.

Classic Art Bell curmudgeolines. Good to see. If he comes back I hope he goes back to his roots, and quits flogging the stupid MMGW al gore BS. It's boring, almost as boring as a noory health supplement ep.

Daytime in PI is night time here, Art doesn't even have to change his schedule.

My ex-wife could have burned through Art's money easily in seven years.  Maybe Art needs to return to work.

i'd much rather hear about art's kid than that of the royals.  at least art is a real person about whom i give a shit.

Sure, asthma and diabetes are always a winning combination.

I don't understand why a small percentage of Art Bell 'fans' seem to want to throw dirt on his coffin, it's weird.
Unresolved daddy issues?  There they were, lying warm and comfy in their beds, drifting off into peaceful slumber; a man's strong baritone voice elicited feelings of safety and reassurance as he read them the most remarkable bedtime stories.   Art was an archetype of the perfect daddy. Then, BAM!, he abandoned them without warning.   Like a Disneyland dad, he occasionally returned for brief moments in time, always unpredictable, only to abandon them again.  Finally, he was gone entirely, replaced by the most wickedly evil stepfather imaginable.  For some, the abandonment and betrayal wounded so deeply in their psyches that he can never be forgiven.  I feel sad for them.

But there are those few in whom the narcissistic wound is so grievous that it compels them to their own acts of cruelty.  These are the ones who, especially when they have reason to think the man himself might be reading their words,  lash out in sadistic verbal attacks against his personhood, his marriage, his children, the death of his wife...wherever they think their attacks might cause him the most pain.     Those folks are the products of improper toilet training, and I don't feel sad for them.

your future king shits his pants.

If you think back to the Art days, he often talked about how he watched CNN. Even during 9/11, he was glued to CNN all day.

Since he got Facebook he has made more than  a few comments about CNN's downfall newswise, along with CNN's Headline News network..
So the latest Bell comment only is par for that course.
But it also shows he is still opinionated--opinions of sense that we lack.

I suppose he's my future King too, the Canadian head of state.  It's kind of fascinating that he's already one of the most famous people in the world and he doesn't even know there's anything out there beyond the royal boobie.

Art has under 3,000 Twitter followers.
coast to coast am has 74,000.. i know this is early in the game.. but what IF Art comes back and the show flops.. what if?

Hey, Fort... just a suggestion... the CONSTANT USE OF UPPERCASE LETTERS IS CONSIDERED THE MARK OF AN AMATEUR.  It is the equivalent of shouting.  I know you are clearly excited about your various offerings on this forum, but, really, does every damn thing HAVE TO BE CAPITALIZED?

In all fairness to Art, Coast to Coast AM has a larger vehicle/audience to advertise their social media sites on/to.

If social media existed in the 90s Art's twitter would have exploded with followers.

If he returns to the airwaves again and advertises his social media sites then I am willing to bet he will exceed Noory's following.

I don't think the number of twitter followers has anything to do with well, anything.

Art commenting on CNN is still better than Noory and his Cartoon Network show.

And Art's twitter account is only about three weeks old. Most of us didn't know it existed until a few days ago. Jeez.
