How the fuck can you listen to that hysterical right wing shrieking in the middle of the night? They're doing a bad Limbaugh impression, and with irritating voices to boot.

Better than the rantings of a left wing nut for sure.

Wow, at this rate he'll figure out how to set up a blog sometime in early 2016.

I imagine the website will be very "1996ish" - much in the same way as Hoagland's Enterprise Mission.

HTML FTW!

Yes, but both are completely intolerable and should not be acceptable to anyone, no matter which side of the fence you're on.

Does anyone know what happened to the rods?

They never existed in the first place and Jose Whats-his-name is just another in a long line of C2C con artists.

Also the Wanna Take a Ride font looks slightly different but I could be wrong. In any event the question mark is a different colour so that definitely means an announcement is coming soon as predicted by he who must not be named aka you know who.

CampsieNP

Yes,,I noticed too. Grey question mark.
Every morning I check the web site for any changes. God, I hate myself sometimes.

Re: artbell.com HTML ... I noticed that page was using Google web fonts about a week ago. Not so much 1996-ish web site. I'm not saying there won't be animated gifs though

;)

Maybe you all already know this but the grey question mark is a link. Click it.

At least at artbell.com I'm not looking at this:

Marc.Knight

Art should re-build his LCARS-style web site.  Simple, yet beautiful and fascinating.  Non-corporate.

I have the "CC Pocket" and it is a POS.  It works, but not very well.  If anyone knows of a good AM radio please let me know.  I have had many of them through out the years and none of them ever performed very well.  That being said.  The "CC Pocket" is the worst of all by far.

For a pocket radio with good AM and a built in speaker the Sony SRF T615 is the one, you have to search to find one and it is pricey.  It's about 3/4 the size of an iphone.

You realize of course that the "Phantom Question Mark", and the "Wanna Take A Ride?" Morse code loop refer to Art re-starting his website, right? Man, I can hardly bear the excitement.

The Five Stages of Grieving Art Bell's Latest Retirement/Possible Comeback:

1)  Stunned wailing, keening, and trembling....
2)  A mindless search for something to take the place of that voice in the night; this stage often leads to a neurosis called Nooryosis.
3)  Bargaining:  the grieving sould will listen to episodes of C2C from 1995 and try to pretend (typically while drinking beer and cursing George Noory).  (I know I do!)
4)  Anger... the great affection for Bell slowly begins to fade and the grieving begins to resent the dangled carrot of a possible return and utter such phrases as, "Screw him anyway... at least I've got George Knapp!"
5)  Seeing visions -- still clinging to hope, the grieving will begin to see almost imperceptible hints of a return by Art to either radio or the internet.

At this point, the grieving process is very likely to simply recycle itself.

Except he said flat out "Yes, this means what you think it means" and I don't know about you guys, but "what I think it means" would certainly not be Art restarting his website.  I know this, and so does Art.

Haha, that's about it to a "T".   I always skip stage #5 though, because it's never made sense to me to get angry at people I'm fond of, but don't know personally, just because they don't behave the way I want them to.   I keep recycling from Stage 5 to Stage 3.   Maybe someday I'll stop, but maybe not.

Art's going to star in a remake of Contact?

mattjs2732

I guess I'm just wondering why I would want to follow Art on his FB page when he doesn't have his settings open to giving the public access to seeing his updates?

and Art only appears to post something once a month or so anyway, same as his twitter page.
at least he could post recent photos of his cats or something on his website for all to see, not only the very few folks who were let thru as his facebook followers early on (but doesn't allow any more to be added)

Did you guys ever notice how Noory always lets the music play out before he starts talking? Everytime! Even on the rare occasion when hangs a caller over or when the guest is really getting into a story? I've noticed this, where as Art, Ian, Knapp and even Wells keeps interest and stay intrigued and gets back into it. I was listening to an old ghost to ghost and got irritated. Sorry for the rant folks...I had to vent.

Art and Ian usually ended up running out of time.  George Noory doesn't have enough content to fill his show.  He couldn't care less, every night he's just trying to make it to the next commercial, then finally the end of the show.

yeah thats just a 10 year old site Keith made for support of the artbell cdrom he sold when Art retired at the end of 2002.
no new content from Art there, in fact from the site's "About Me" section:

About Me    This is the support site for the Art Bell Website CD-ROM.

This site is run by me, Keith Rowland. This website is just a technical hobby of mine, I stake no particular point of view or agenda in the material posted here. Other than name, Art Bell is not associated with this site and most likely doesn't know it exists.

Just out of interest sake did Art get any proceeds from the sale of these CD-ROMs?

Was Keith selling these "legally" with Arts's knowledge/blessing? I know he was the webmaster and was responsible for keeping us up to date with content in real time but surely Art is the "owner" of that content.

Just curious. Not trying to get Keith sued or anything. Love his work.

If I remember correctly, Keith sold them and got the money with Art's blessing.  Art even pitched them on the show quite a few times.

I still have my disc that I bought back then. It was legit, Art was advertising them towards the end of his run.
