In theory i think i could support a scorpion army... but i need to know more about it's ideologies... i don't want to find out after the fact that I'm really supporting al qaeda and not actually a freedom fighter scorpion army...

This is the funniest thing I've read in a long time... haha! Bottom Line, ignore everything that Fort Rock posts and you'll be fine.

If you're so inclined, you can go back and read Fort Rock's history of never ending predictions based on "insider information" about Art Bell returning including specific dates these announcements were supposed to be made... all of which turned out to be false.

Damn straight.  Hurry back Art.  Enough of Wells and Noory reading headlines from Alex Jones' website.  We want you, reading headlines from Matt Drudge's website!  Noory only ever has fakes and quacks on!  Please, please, please come back so that we can have credible guests, like the ones you had as regulars - you know, Richard Hoagland, and Ed Dames.  Not these nuts that George has on, like that numbers lady and, uh, Richard Hoagland.  All these new guys do is talk about fringe crap, ufos, crazy conspiracies, and new age nonsense!  Please come back, they are driving the show into the ground.

He he. I see what you did there.

PRN/Clear Channel form a mega-monopoly of AM radio and Bell knows they ain't letting him back on their stations.  So his distribution would be limited to 50w stations at the far end of the dial. End of story.  He knows a lost cause when he sees one.

Art and George can have to same guests but there is going to be a huge difference in the show.

I figured Snoory's days were numbered when WLS Chicago went with the Mother Trucker Show from 12 to 4 Central. Guess I was wrong.

Jeeezus...I should be arrested for comma abuse. 8)

Actually, Doomed, as a junior college composition instructor, I can tell you that you did pretty well with your commas.  The error, typically, is to not use them when they are needed.  (You did, however, fail to include an apostrophe in "won't". )  :o

I think it's a bit coincidental that Ross Mitchel (I think I got the name right?) leaves the announcing duties from Coast, and not long afterward the slogan that he's most known for shows up on Art's website in huge letters. In fact, the first official content from the site is the question "Wanna take a ride". Art has said that he's been working on deals for quite a while. So I do wonder if he was able to convince Mitchel to leave Coast for his show, and what other guests/personalities he may attract if and when his show/podcast/whatever gets off the ground.

The reason for both of these things is: Cumulus. That's all.

Now that Premiere has released that GN has signed a long term contract, do you think we'll start being told more information quickly from AB on his website/twitter/facebook about what is really going on? I think he had to know about this contract deal, and I think he was just waiting for it to be signed before giving any info.

I was going to mention the same thing! I was in the live chat with Noory and saw where he made this announcement.  I even asked him if he could elaborate a bit.  My question got through to him and he said he could not say anything further at that time.

Maybe something to this....

Very long thread... And I'm not sure if anyone here has already mentioned this or not... but here goes.  I believe that Art is coming back to C2C. Not competing with it.  Just my opinion. He has said in the past that he does not wish to destroy what he has built.  I think that the producers of C2C were in touch with Art after he said he was looking at offers a couple of months ago.  I had chatted with George Knapp on FB last May, and we chatted about Art's possible return to radio. He had no idea till I filled him in.

Further to this, I am a streamlink member on C2C... I took a screen shot of the last chat that George Noory did... in the chat, Noory stated that "major news" is coming soon on the program.  I'm happy to share the screen shot of the chat if anyone cares to see it.

So... ya, I'm in the camp that he's going BACK, and am extremely excited at the thought of it. Art Bell is da bomb! Best host there, and I have missed hearing him!

Ross is heard on Red Eye Radio the over night trucker radio that, at least here in the Denver/Colorado Springs area, is on all the stations C2C use to play on.  That should say something about C2C right there.   >:(

Back maybe a year ago on Red Eye, you would hear Ross say ". . . make the switch, I did . ." and at least I understood it was a slap at C2C.  Cumulus and Red Eye don't play that anymore as I suspect Prem-Rat got to them over it as I am sure they understood the meaning.  ;)

Sad to say but on the nights I am up, Red Eye at least keeps me awake.  C2C will either put me to sleep or have me wanting to throw the radio and since it is an expensive C-Crane I bought back in the Art days, I refrain from destroying that memory!

That's a good point too.  Art made me want to buy a C-Crane radio.  I didn't have any money but at least I ordered their catalogue.  Noory makes me feel like they probably are a fly-by-night company.

I doubt Art will show up on Red Eye. My theory is that Art was already offered the Red Eye Radio gig and turned it down back in May. Red Eye is in direct competition with coast (same time slot) which Art said he didn't want to do. Of course, things could change.

Also remember that Red Eye is owned by a big radio company which I'm doubtful would give Art full creative control which I'm assuming he would insist on.

.....did we mis-read the red white and blue?

My guess is that freedom and creative control was probably why the last 2 deals fell through.

You know, I bought a C-Crane because of Art's advertisements, too.  I wonder how many of us here did!  Not counting books, I can't remember whether or not I ever bought anything else, but I know I at least requested info on other stuff.  Art's magic... he really can even make ads compelling.  I'm such a sucker.

You're right about Noory, though.  I'm suspicious of any company that would attach themselves to his name.

yeah i also bought a C-Crane radio back in 1999 from Art's obvious sincere endorsement.
wouldn't even consider anything that Noory endorses, he sounds too phony.

The only product I could see Noory successfully sponsoring would be Valium, as he's done us the favor of demonstrating its effects for several years.

this.  art had a way of making you really believe what he was saying about the products he advertised.  perhaps that's because he really believed what he was saying.  or not.  idunno.

i did.  however, i also bought one of ccrane's LED flashlights which art used to advertise, and it turned out to be a cheap, dim, useless lump of cat shit made out of awful plastics.  man, it was soooo dim.  very disappointing.  i ended up losing it when i was driving a truck over the road.  i left it on the catwalk, started driving, and noticed its absence 500 miles later.  good riddance, i say.

i never bought anything from ccrane after that, though.

edit:  i still have the ccradio.  it works, but the LCD display sometimes doesn't display properly.  also, i've seen other AM radios in the $20 range that outperform it.  i think i paid like $165 for that thing.  very overpriced.

How the fuck can you listen to that hysterical right wing shrieking in the middle of the night? They're doing a bad Limbaugh impression, and with irritating voices to boot.

Can't say I would see Art being a politician, but if one were to take a long shot an an translating the red, white, and blue, maybe its a sign that he has the freedom now to do as he pleases? Everyone has been using that word, "Freedom" around here lately based on his creativity. Thoughts?

It came up as the 2nd hit for me on Bing when I typed Art Bell into the search.  I'm just guessing but maybe it has something to do with your search history.

both search engines use totally different crawlers (what scans web pages), and additionally, both use entirely different algorithms to determine what you should see and what you shouldn't when searching.

keep your life simple and just use google for search.  bing is another of microsoft's "me too" products.  google built their entire empire on search.
