Very interesting.  For some reason, I highly doubt "Fast 8" will have anything this interesting.

What most people aren't aware of, is the movie needs to be watched backwards... and upside down... then it all makes sense.

That's Murnau for you.  He was quite the artist and took care in every detail.  We have no one making popular movies today in his league.

Well film making is a much different craft/art in today's world. Many filmmakers introduce subtle pieces of information into their films, in which only the clued in or highly observant viewers see. The most recent example I can think of is The Conjuring 2. I will let you find those yourself, I think you will find it fun.

I continue to refer to an independent film, made in Denver, I believe, called Ink. A very low budget and extremely interesting and visually captivating film.

I just find it odd that people are having a hissy fit about Trump's character when the poor character of the Clintons has already been established for years.  They in fact like to cover up their character flaws while Trump just lets it all hang out.  The disingenuousness of the Clintons is disgusting.

All things being even,  character should not be the issue as both candidates have poor characters.  Unfortunately we have to choose one of them as President so we have to do the best we can.  I'm voting based on policy issues not character.

Ok, I get that. But let's not forget that Bill was excoriated for his behaviors, even though in many situations there was a consensual aspect. Let's not also forget that Ken Starr spent millions and found little. Let's not forget that Ken Starr interviewed Juanita Broaddrick and chose to not have her as part of his prosecution. Let's also not forget, that even if you don't believe there was a right wing conspiracy against the Clintons many do believe that. Let's not forget that there is a cottage industry that continues to spew information that has been proven false.

As to Trump, it may seem frivolous to many but that doesn't mean it is frivolous. I won't pretend to know what it takes to be president. However, to many, his lack of respect for women is quite troubling.

Who the fuck cares?  This is insignificant stuff.  Rape, assault, molestation ok... but this?  Give me a break.

Can I have a picture of your wife's breasts? It's insignificant, right?

Please do, I love his music and his struggle with booze/etc and then the awfulness of Alzheimer's. But I like that people go public with whatever diseases or mental problems because it makes people aware and try to seek help early. And for families/spouse to learn how to deal with it and what to expect. There has been progress made but I wonder if the reason (contrary to C2C quacks) we see more instances of things like dementia and Alzheimer's is because we've been able to extent our life-span longer than people in the past but are lacking the same technology or something for brain health? As a non-doctor and pure speculator.

Everything is political. Yes Alzheimer's disease is horrible. I wonder if Reagan was already compromised when he supported the prohibition of stem cell research? Research that would help to understand and slow or even cure that disease. Ok, now I am going to wax philosophical for a moment. What is life? When people claim they are pro-life and think that stem cell research, even stem cells from the umbilical cord is wrong. Perhaps life within a single cell, can somehow enhance a life in danger of death. I dunno.

My story about Glen Campbell isn't about health.

Random Topics / Re: Headaches
October 27, 2016, 10:53:53 PM
I've stayed away from this thread because the root causes of headaches are just about as numerous as the number of headaches.

That being said, the biggest cause is dehydration.

However, headaches have so many different aspects that defining a specific cause is really difficult. Headaches can be something as simple as a minor stress headache, or somewhat more complicated, a migraine headache or cluster headache. Then it gets more complicated and more serious/deadly with the cause being some form of tumor or the beginnings of a stroke.

Here is the best advice for any pain onset, from backache, toothache, or generalized pain, the quicker one takes some intervention the less the pain will be.

Drink plenty of water, get plenty of sleep, drink within moderation, don't smoke, and take breaks from strenuous tasks and avoid unnecessary conflict.

As much as I like your stories and insight you often ignore actual questions, which is fine and your right. But did you want the protestors/"militias" shot during the stand-off or after the non-guilty jury verdict in court? Do you think defense attorneys should be detained/arrested and tasered after they win a verdict? Would you apply this same "shoot them" standard to, say, some illegals who shut down roads, like they did in NYC GW bridge the other day or highways as they've done in LA? Or BLM who tried to shut down MSP airport? Those, arguably, are also Federal land or in Federal control or receive Federal funds? Where were the snipers there? Where was the helicopters and trucks? And should those people be shot also?

The Bundys took over a park. They did so while armed. And not just armed but armed to the teeth. That alone suggests a threat. For the decision to be made that they did not pose a threat seems bizarre to me.

Do I think the protests involving BLM deserve the same? Well it depends. If someone is firebombing another's property, yes definitely, deadly force is warranted. Shutting down a road, no I do not think shooting them is warranted.

We use terms all the time, fair and equal are often used to attempt some sort of equivalence. People are free to believe what they want. To me BLM or Black Lives Matter is a sentinel point, it does in no way undermine all lives matter. It simply suggests that all lives matter isn't applied equally. I think that is true.

Make no mistake though, the Bundys have been taking advantage by theft of government land for more than 20 years. When challenged by local law officials senior Bundy used threats of bodily harm to dissuade those officials. Why there was no intervention at that time, I have no answer.

I finally got around to watching ‘Glen Campbell … I’ll Be Me’ (on Netflix) that deals with Glen's fight with Alzheimer's Disease.  Predictably sad in certain parts but still fascinating how Glen was able to take part in his farewell tour.  He couldn't remember much but his music still occupied some part of his brain and he was able to sing (with teleprompter) and play his guitar.  Quite an amazing movie and lots of info on Alzheimer's contained in it. There were a number of gigs on the farewell tour and you could actually see Glen's condition progressively get worse by the final show.

This documentary was filmed in 2014 so I got to thinking about how Glen was doing nowadays, I mean two years have gone by...it couldn't be good.  So I ran a search on him just before writing this post and as it turns out, his wife had issued a statement to the press on October 25th of this year.  She announced that...

I have a great Glen Campbell story. If I ever do another gabcast I will share it.

I don't see your point. These are fake ads.

Fair enough, fake ads, suggesting what? That females in the military is something that is less than. Perhaps I am missing the point, I can't deny that sometimes I do. I just don't see the humor. Is it that Hillary in office would bring us to war? That is a fair question (lol yes I am asking it). I don't think Hillary will bring us to war as quickly as Trump would. Or is the question that the draft or some form of service to the country is by its nature is corrupt? I don't think it is a corrupt notion, in actuality, the older I get the more I realize that many have no idea of what responsibility to the ideal of being a citizen of the US means. Sadly, I find that many find the concept beneath them.

So when you re-post many twitter tweets, I have to wonder what is your point. As I said, maybe I missed something.
