Yes I too would prefer a more varied assortment of topics.  Believe it or not, there was a while during Hoagie's brief Saucy Rossy inspired Golden Age where this spirit was embodied well.  Everything was open from from obscure history, to fringe science, to literature/film, etc.  The real joy in the long-form radio Art pioneered is the luxury to dive deeper into interesting areas without the cable-news rush to always get to the next flashing shiny object.

Paranormal stuff is part of this world of ideas and experience, but it doesn't have to be limited to that.  The reason I was a bit non-committal on Dave as host is on C2C it seemed like 9 out of 10 shows were about hauntings and I grow weary of those pretty quickly.  He did have a show on in the last year on technology, virtual reality or transhumanism, something like that, which was quite good so I know he's got the potential to go other places.

All of your points make perfect sense! I'm just bitter because he's not Art Bell. Ugh.

You could always join The Church of the The High Priestess of Art Bell's Legacy As It Was Ordained in the Great Succession Always and Without End.

They appear to be highly nutritious.

I think you see from his treatment of the guest last night and his comments here that Dave prefers discrete topicsâ€"like historic crimes and individual hauntingsâ€"that don't have any current-events relevance. It will make him less likely to do typical Coast/Art topics like predictions and the role of the paranormal in geopolitical matters. You could see that last night when he wouldn't pursue the guest's relating Trump's actions to other-worldly influences.

It may be awkward at times, but I think that's what we'll be experiencing. It's a lot different than Art, so we'll see how that goes down here. It's a different approach to be sure.

If someone doesn't pick up Rossy as their producer, the universe makes less sense than I'd like.

Ah, the one week grace period, that's what it is.

I do like that Schrader checked in here. We'll see if he sticks around or keeps coming back.

It's awesome that Winnie hasn't been shy about posting too.

Did MV die?

He probably went on a bender when the royalty checks for Midnight in the Cuckshack started rolling in.

I hope the space guy trips and falls while running with scissors. He is a fraud.

Oh I understand my place in the Universe and at one time it was suggested to me to avoid this site like the plague, that was years ago. So I did, but I am a passionate fan of many things and like when I can love something with others or hate something or sometimes both.

I get the point of this place, I get the sarcasm, the passion, the love and hates. It is what it is. I cant promise I will visit often but I will check in on you all and chime in when time permits.  I hear the complaints and the love and it pushes me to try to be better and be worthy of the job I have been given.  So...to the future...lets laugh, cry and flip each other off as life is meant to be.

Right on Dave.  Thanks for posting.  Btw I enjoyed your first two shows and look forward to seeing where you take things in the future.

I wonder if the second guy is a backup in case the first guy can't make it because he's feeling under the weather.

If he did who would carry on his legacy? Who would inherit Bellgab? Scary thoughts.

I would imagine, with your proud Voortrekker heritage, that Hitler looks quite a pussy compared to you.

Heck-tor Peterson!

You'd make a wonderful lampshade, if you weren't on the verge of being necklaced.

Everyone knows the Holocaust was a crock, old chap.

Do I have this right? The same couple who sent her a garment steamer and put her in their will have now sent her a pair of socks, a survival pen, and a DVD with 1987 pictures of their dead dog?

Occam's razor requires this to be a long con. Please.
Bingo.  Hey, MV's doing song parodies, in falsetto, and Casio was hacking laundromat video cameras for multi-hour entertainment.  Any things possible.

Well the most fraudulent things such as when he invented fusion rockets as a teenager and then General Lemay had him launch one and fly it to Area 51 are just harmless tall tales. His alleged involvement in NASA and especially his lying through his ass discussions of the Events surrounding the Challenger accident best never be told when I am in the same room.
