So lying to people about something they genuinely care about isn't malicious?  Manipulating a group of people to believe in your lies is not malicious?  All I did in my lengthy post was to recap what has happened so far with Fort Rock, just to bring everyone up to speed, including him.  He seems to be the most oblivious to what he did here.  How he could expect ANYONE on this board to be nice to him or take him seriously is beyond me.

Perhaps he's mentally ill.  In which case I say, GET HELP YA SICK BASTARD!

I'm a naturally argumentative person (at least, about stuff that doesn't really matter much) - if everyone else was being 'nice' to the little freak I probably would have weighed in with the 'harsher' opinion. But I find I can usually leave that to others.

Your definition of malicious is probably correct, but I don't feel the intent was particularly nasty. He's either a sad lonely soul thriving on the attention (like myself) or the greatest method actor that ever walked the net.

Either way, I suggest we introduce him to Alejandro - then stand well back.

I found the following message (see attached mp3) to be be extremely prescient and informative - perhaps a clue that even 9 years ago, when Art recorded this message, he knew that the "One-neuron Nooron" was not the correct choice. You be the judge.

NOTE: This was part of a longer recording - I edited it for brevity and relevance.

Enjoy

Thanks for the MP3.  It was so good to hear Art's voice.  He was so clear about his goal.  Art from the heart. Love that guy.

You're the best, Hal.

I think Fort Rock has some good points and possibly there is a kernel of truth somewhere in all these claims. I'd like to hear more.

Yep.  It's the "no judgment" society we live in now.
After taking another glance at the "Noory sucks" thread, I am uncertain that many of us live the "no judgment" life...

i agree. god forbid someone tell someone they need to stop being a jackass and get their act together.  am i culturally intolerant because i think people who wear their pants around their knees and walk around with their ass hanging out are fucking ignorant, disgusting fools?

I'm not saying it's something to strive for, WOTR.  I think not judging has gotten our culture in a heap of trouble.

I know that's not politically correct, but no one has ever accused me of being politically correct.

That reminds me of some of my favorite lyrics of all time, b_dubb:

Pants on the Ground
Pants on the Ground
Lookin' like a fool
With your pants on the Ground . . .

Prison couture is very happening, dude.

I look around every day and realize that Roe vs Wade has been such a failure in the big picture.

Eddie thanks for framing my remarks so perfectly LOL

Ok.. here is a question:
What would have the last 10 years have been like IF ART BELL WAS FULL TIME on air?
...........just wondering thoughts

He'd probably be in a wheelchair from back pain by now.

Why is everyone so hard on this guy? He loves ART! Let's give him a chance to show us what he's got. I propose a broadcast about Art and his possible return to radio. Let's just settle this. Fort Rock can be a guest on the show. This is a suggestion. Fort Rock: I'm willing to hear you out.

Definitely, but the hope is that he'll want to return on his own accord - sort of an itch that needs to be scratched.

McPhallus

I'd like to hear him on the RT show, but not to enable him or empower his delusions...  He's interesting as a case study in mental illness.

Blu tooth would allow him to lie down and do the show. With plenty of good drugs and fantastic artwork on the ceiling he could do it.  All he has to do is speak. ;D  (I'm kidding of course....)

Maybe a great Big "White Bird" on the ceiling....

if he just sprang for a good chair that would be all he really need.  i recommend a Steelcase Leap chair ( v2 ).  they're excellent

He hasn't had a chance to do that?  In all this time?

I think we should hear from him. These are big claims, no doubt about it. Therefore, I'm willing to hear him out. Fort Rock, c'mom. What do you say? Tell the people what you came for.

b_dubb

We've been down this road already with FR. It was all bullshit. His 'Portland source' turned out to be nonsense. This is where he engendered most of the hostility you see towards him. He got everyone's hopes up and the destroyed them.

I don't think you're going to get many people willing to give him a second chance
