George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No
No

he refers to Dr Morgus as a 'boyhood friend'

That explains why he still listens to the show. It's out of a sense of loyalty. Thanks to his nightly recaps, you and I don't have to listen to the program. He must have a high pain tolerance.

I will definitely be listening to William Henry on Coast tonight......even though he sometimes goes WAY OUT THERE.....I still enjoy him.

I can't wait to hear Noory's explanation for his absence last night.  Rob Simone did great......wish he's consider taking up some of Noory's host time.

Thats it! The mexican cab drivers tracked him down and were preparing to drag his ass back across the border when the bizarre accident occured. It went down like this:
They found him at the pancake house as he was getting in his car. The two cab drivers wrestled him to the ground, bound and gagged him, and tossed him into the trunk of a battered '64 Chevy.
As they drove south, Noory managed to work the gag loose and using his secret agent-like sharp wit, decided to use his tongue to work the trunklid latch open. The old Belair had lousy shocks and when they hit a sharp dip in the road, the lid flew open, launching George out of the car, and left him dangling like a fresh caught carp on the end of the line. After several miles Noory decided it might be smart to let go of the trunk latch, and when he did he tumbled ass-over-tea-kettle down the center medium. A few moments later a CHP officer rolled up and Georgies ordeal was over. All that was left to do was explain what happened. Stay tuned...

OK, I'm laughing my butt off!!!!  LOVE IT!!!!

The plot thickens.
Rob Simone is now scheduled to fill-in again tonight, so Noory's bizarre 'accident' must be worse than he thought?
Maybe Simone will have more details this time...

Maybe George had a vasectomy - brain surgery can be very tricky, you know.

He's the only guy who visits a brain surgeon and a proctologist at the same time. It's the only way that he can get his head out of ass.

I think either he's cracked under the strain of "working" both TV and radio, or...he's been fired. If he's been fired, either he knows it or doesn't, but remember his last show was so so bad, maybe that was the straw that broke Premier's back. If he does know, maybe they're letting him weasel out gracefully, such as it is.

If it turns out that Simone is well-versed in tonight's guest, then I'll be pretty sure that GN is not going to be on for awhile. Hopefully forever.

The first thought I had was whether Art Bell et al pulled a legal move.. Does he somehow still have control? Did Noory talk to Bell days ago to beg Bell to keep him as the main host? Maybe we will find out tonight.....

Another possibility: he fell down tripping over his ego

Our hopes are rising too high, I fear.  I have this terrible feeling any rumors of Noory's demise with regard to C2C are premature.  I fear Noory will be back on the air, NLT Friday, just in time to completely demoralize us and shatter our hopes, with UFO Phil playing as a very painful reminder.  :'(

Possibly. Even probably.

But oh, how fun it is to imagine Art saying "Either take my name off the show or get rid of Noory!" and the execs are trying to decide...and everything hangs in the balance and THWAP!! they cut the rope on Noory.

Just too pleasurable not to imagine.

It feels like it's a moot point. We have three amputated limbs. Now, we're speculating on whether or not we'll be able to keep the fourth one. "Pyrrhic" is a word that comes to mind. I doubt that Noory will be removed and replaced. Would it matter if he was? It might, but it would have mattered more in 2008. At this stage in the game, it could be that the *show* needs to be replaced. YMMV

jinwicked

Did anyone say what happened? I couldn't be at the computer for the first half hour.

No, Rob Simone said the same thing he said last night, that Noory will explain his bizarre and mysterious situation tomorrow night.

I think his head fell off from disuse.

"How do you do, Mr. Noory? My name is O'Mye, of the law firm of Lyons, Tighe, Bayer and O'Mye. We represent a Mr. Art Bell. The papers you are being served with are copies of a permanent injunction, entered today, which prohibit you from ever associating yourself in any way whatsoever with a radio program by the name of "CoastToCoastAM, from this day this forward until the end of time..."

Morgus

Noory will probably be back tomorrow night since he wouldn't want to miss hosting with his girl friend Linda Howe - she hasn't been on with any other c2c host than Noory since he took over from Bell.

I haven't been a big fan of Rob Simone before, but after the last two shows, he's now my second-favorite host, after Knapp. Great job (or maybe just the contrast between he and Simple George). Shame they didn't give him the Saturday gig rather than Wells.

Juan

I suspect there's trouble with the TV show that is taking sNoory away.  Getting a TV show off the ground is difficult - it takes a lot of people and a lot of equipment and is more complicated than radio.

I just listened to the Barbara Pomar interview from the other night.  Stick a fork in George.  This exchange was possibly the worst, most embarrassing I've ever heard:

George (after a story about one of Barbara's past life regression sessions): What...what can you say to us about what it means, what it is...and how it even started?

Barbara:  Whuh...*exasperated sigh*...why regression is?

George:  Eee...no....everything that has happened.  What is it all?  What's it all about?  Why are we going through this as...as...as a humankind?

Barbara:  Why we're going through what we're going through right now?  (Maybe she thought he meant that punishing interview.)

George: Mmm hmm.

Everything that has happened?  Since the beginning of time?  What the hell is he talking about?  She went on to attempt to answer that nonsensical, completely unrelated question.  She did her best with his lame attempt at being deep.  This interview was painful to hear.  What the hell was he even talking about?  They must have forced him to take a couple of days off after this one, and listening to Rob Simone just reinforces what a joke Noory has become.

I too find it kinda weird that George is absent after the Pomar appearance... man her crazy speech cadence really threw off simple George.  It was so difficult to listen to that I found myself unable to fall asleep to it.  Deep down I really want to hear that he's been fired for sucking so hard core during his last show.  Rob Simone was awesome with the "Black guy children" stuff.  I can't imagine anything creepier than waking up with little black children next to my bed.

I'm off by a night in my show lineup so I'll be checking out Robs recent second appearance tonight but I'm actually excited about it.  After hearing him do so well already I'm sure I'll be nailed to the speakers for this biblical stuff.

RedMichael

Maybe that thing he talked about Art was trying to get him to be on his show. Art would be a big catch for a public access show.

b_dubb

I like Rob Simone but his delivery is pretty damn Shatner-esque

I was thinking the same thing.  Noory, if there is anyway he can, will pop back up tonight.  He can be with his "sweetie" and still sleep through LMH's time, as she play's her monotone recordings.  He'll just be there for his usual "amazin!" and "sumpns go'n on, Linda!" numb-skull comments.  ::)

Ah, yes.  Sigh........   Regardless of the sad state of C2C, in general, a Noory-free C2C is a very sweet dream.

That almost has to be it.  What else would Art talk to George about.  What else would George talk to Art about.

But why would it be described as a "bizarre accident?"  Bizarre, yes, but "accident?"  Oh, well, sadly, I fully expect the goof-in-question will reappear tonight with an explanation for his absence that is even more bizarre.

That was just Red Michaels explanation for why they were talking, assuming George can be believed about that..

Never underestimate George's abilty to come up with an outlandish creepy lie when he wants to tell one.  I wouldn't even dare try to guess what George will claim he is up to this week.

ItsOver

Agree, P*B.  Coming-up with outlandish, creepy lies is definitely one of the few things George is good at.  Pathological liar comes to mind.

Maybe Art is intrigued by internet TV or YouTube or whatever George's show is on, and will look into doing some similar project of his own, on his own terms.

There must be a reason he'd talk to George - twice.  I don't think Art would feel like he owes George, if anything it's just the opposite.
