George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No
No

Sadly, it just sounds like another topic for a P*B Jorge and Tommy cartoon entitled, "Jorge responds to a "Hater" email."

sNoory said the Hopi had time to study the sky because they didn't have much else to do...

Picture me mouth agape. Just what the hell does he think life for aboriginal peoples was like? Does he think they turned on a tap for water? Or went to Burger Doodle when they got peckish, or MaxiMart when they wanted a holiday sweater? What a simpleton. It's people like Noory who make me fear a massively destructive karmic come-around is gonna hit all of us just to pay back his arrogant and dismissive ignorance, and to give him a deep understanding of what "subsistence" and "survival" means.

Yet don't forget that countless members of Noory's dumbed-down audience wouldn't even conceive of questioning such imbecilic comments. That saddens me and makes me shudder.

I'll bet ya twenty clams that Noory couldn't even spell the word subsistence, let alone know its meaning.

If you asked Noory if he knew anything about aboriginal people, he'd surely reply, "Sure! They're the first people who were here! We evolved from them!"

This really annoys me for some reason. Sounds borderline racist to be honest. Does he think Native Americans were cavemen? I'm glad he showed his true colors. He thinks native people were neanderthals who did nothing but stare off in the sky while scratching their heads. Fuck Noory. He does not belong on the radio.
edit-maybe not racist, but he sure is ignorant.

please vote in this poll if you haven't already.  sorry to post it here.  i know it's woefully off topic, but i know this thread gets most of the eyeballs.

Did anyone notice a new bumper announcement elicting feedback from listeners?

I thought I heard editorial@coasttocoastam.com but on the C2C site it's whatyathinkeditorial@aol.com

From the C2C site:

"Are you passionate about something and want to sound-off? Think about it, pick your topic, and email us your one (1) minute editorial and we might record you and play it on Coast to Coast AM. Every Wednesday, we'll play an on-air recorded editorial from a Coast listener. It could be you! Just email your submissions to whatyathinkeditorial@aol.com. Include your name and phone number and we just might be calling you."

Sound off!

The Mars rover Curiosity is about to start roving and drilling.  Coast will have on another health food nut.
sNoory sucks.

Noory's next train wreck is getting closer.  December 14th.

http://www.coasttocoastam.com/pages/beyond-belief-with-george-noory

They almost got the title correct.  It should be titled "Beyond Belief, George Noory."  Maybe December 14th is the end of the world.

George thinks they didn't have much to do because he doesn't do much himself, and without the annoyance of having to show up at the studio everyday George pictures himself as doing pretty much nothing at all.

This is a person that is completely ignorant of just about any subject a person could name, and who has approx zero understanding or interest in the world around him.

Half Lakota Sioux here [dad is Lakota, mom is German]. Noory is one hell of an idiot.

I had the same thought. In Art's era, it was.

But apparently George and Tommy want a full written transcript of what you are going to say. Then they want to record it before they'll put it on the air.

Ridiculous.

That interview was rather painful to listen to, not to mention anger-inducing.  Kudos for sending that email, albeit don't expect a response. I feel your pain.

Hey, thanks.......it's nice to know that I am supported by others who are just as frustrated as I am!

Thanks ChewMouse - glad it's not just me thinking out of the box again.

It seems C2C now wants complete control of everything, including those who want to call in with an opinion.  I think this is because Noory can't think fast on his feet; he doesn't know how to talk to callers on the air or carry on an interesting conversation. C2C is getting desperate and it's starting to show.

George is a joke without a punchline.

George read a story about someone with a brain injury and it made me smile. I hope that doesn't require an explanation

I'm actually interested by the whole GMO "conspiracy" so I'm gonna listen live tonight.  It's one of only a few conspiracies that I think there's some truth behind.  We don't really know the long term effects of raising and eating genetically modified food.  Half of me thinks its really no big deal though.  Regular corn and modified corn is still just a starchy vegetable going through your digestive system.  I can't really see it causing extra limbs and eyeballs... maybe high cholesterol or something?  I could see maybe some crazy environmental side effects.  Any of you guys know the facts behind the GMO stuff?  I have to admit I haven't really looked into it much.

This was sent via email to:  Premiere Radio, Lisa, Dan, Tom, Lex, Stephanie, and Shawn:

Mr. David was a SUPER guest.......too bad Noory kept interrupting and pushing the poor man as to not allow him to finish his thoughts on individual topics.  Why was Noory in such a hurry?  Just when we were ready to listen to more about, for example, the mysterious cave found in the Grand Canyon that contained artifacts that were Egyptian and even a Budda, Noory dismisses it and rushes into some TOTALLY UNRELATED OTHER TOPIC!!!!!

Listeners could actually "feel" Mr. David's subtle impatience as Noory would say, "Well, now, what about the ....blah, blah, blah,"  without even REACTING OR RESPONDING TO SOME AMAZING FINDINGS AND STATEMENTS MADE BY HIS GUEST!!!!   Mr. David would respond politely with, Sure.....and then move on without bringing his current revelation to full closure because Noory was obviously not going to engage in meaningful questions or reactions to what was being presented.  His only response (which he uses constantly) is:  What happened to all of these civilizations;  they just disappear!!!  Well, shut your big mouth and let the guest hypothesize or conjecture for a period of time as he was explaining the findings in around the Grand Canyon.

GEEZ.........the interviewing skills of a two year old.

Even a two year old could have done better job last night. Once again the Snooron took a great topic and osterized it into pablum. I've been to the three mesas on the Hopi Reservation, so I know a little about the subject. The guest was not the usual C2C bullshitter. He was intelligent, well-spoken and for real. Snoory was really flailing last night during the "interview", if you could call it that. The way he kept jumping from subject to subject, it was like he was pulling his cue cards out of a hat.

ah man... ten minutes of this guest and I'm already writing her off.  Was hoping they would actually have some sort of genetics phd on... this lady catches her moms yeast infection and blames it on GMO's.

Her mother had got disorders from the GMO's and the last doctor she visited gave her a yeast infection cream. Please, in your zest to poop on the show you might have some consideration to get some knowledge of the subject .The mother's condition improved after care and concern with food excluded GMO derived foods.

That would seem quite difficult to establish with any kind of reliability. As perhaps it would that any food might be the cause, or even that the disorders are indeed "disorders".

ziznak

Everything out of her mouth is speculation... I've learned more just googling GMO in 5 minutes than I have listening to this whole show.  What she explained was a result of GMO's is actually just contact dermatitus... "CONTACT" being the key word.  Mommy wasn't using soap is what really happened. :P

The study with rats eating GMO potatoes resulted in stomach tumors.  The potatoes were genetically modified to produce a toxin and werent intended to be fed to humans or farm animals.  That study was a worst case scenario with the worst case built into the experiment.

"There is a growing concern that introducing foreign genes into food plants may have an unexpected and negative impact on human health. A recent article published in Lancet examined the effects of GM potatoes on the digestive tract in rats32, 33. This study claimed that there were appreciable differences in the intestines of rats fed GM potatoes and rats fed unmodified potatoes. Yet critics say that this paper, like the monarch butterfly data, is flawed and does not hold up to scientific scrutiny34. Moreover, the gene introduced into the potatoes was a snowdrop flower lectin, a substance known to be toxic to mammals. The scientists who created this variety of potato chose to use the lectin gene simply to test the methodology, and these potatoes were never intended for human or animal consumption.
On the whole, with the exception of possible allergenicity, scientists believe that GM foods do not present a risk to human health."

A card trick by Tommy. He put the October generics in this week's deck.

They aired the first one of these on Wednesday at the beginning of the second half of the second hour. It was 'Lynn from Lafayette' ranting angrily about the fact that people talk about the End Times as though they're happening now, when every fool knows that Revelation refers to the End Times coming at the end of the apostles' lives (or something like that).

I swear, the C2C production staff is losing its collective mind.
