I really hate it when people hold their phone upright to record stuff.   This guy is kind of a jerk.  He should have gotten out of his car and broken up the ice or warned the kids.   Kids getting hurt isn't funny.

My wife thought this was hilarious.  She's thinking about making one for her sister who is due soon..

The best part is the dirty asshole at the bottom.

How badly do you think the teenage kids got hurt? Do you know of a better way to learn about the nature of walking/running making turn and ice? Do you think every adult is responsible for teaching or protecting other parent's children? Do you think children and adolescents should wear a helmet while walking in winter?

I used to have fun running full tilt boogie under similar conditions at that age anticipating any danger ahead and seeing just how close I could get to the edge remaining upright to show others how it's done. I may have fell, but tried then to aim for a snowbank. Probably swear words were invented by teenagers. The hardware is there, but the software needs a little more development and refinement to physically survive aging.

Knowing ice is there and trying to skid around on it is fun.   Breaking your tailbone or leg is not.  If one of those kids had gotten seriously hurt, and that guy was just sitting there laughing, would you be laughing too?   I'm sorry but I disagree with you.   It wasn't a situation where just one kid was slipping, this was kid after kid after kid.   Maybe after that video finished, someone DID break their leg, who knows.   The least he could have done was use the phone instead to call the office of that school and let them know the sidewalk was dangerous.   I'd be glad if someone did that to protect my children.   Maybe you don't have kids, so you don't know, but seeing your child in pain is one of the worst things in life.

Are you a Clear Channel Communications/Premier Radio/SiriusXM lawyer?

I naturally assumed the Father taking the video was a lawyer.

I know that there are a few posters here who are following the True Detective tv program on HBO.

Should we start a thread? Discussing things like:

Did Cole do it?! Do you think that Harrelson's character could be secretly evil?!

This forum should be able to come up with some interesting conspiracy theories.

Last night I experienced a full tilt nightmare - fighting off a robot trying to kill me. While I disabled the thing, I still awoke in a panic, the dream lingering for several seconds as I considered the robot might be outside the house and about to break in. It looked more like a mannequin instead of the more aesthetically pleasing science fiction art deco simulacrum.

At the moment, there's another thread discussing tarot cards. This robot looked like something birthed from an inappropriate tarot deck designed by a frustrated puppeteer.

It's fascinating now, but at the time, pure dread ruled.

I suspect my recent binging of all things bellgab.com is responsible.

Fair warning: I will be seeking appropriate compensation for the witching hour bitch slap and subsequent mental duress.

There's so much going on in the show. Every scene and every line of dialogue seems to have easter eggs or clues in them. I'd be pretty disappointed though, if Cohle turns out to be the Yellow King, or if Hart is a member of the cult. It would take a Shyamalan twist ending for those to happen, and I don't think we've been given any concrete clues for either of those to this point. I could be wrong.

I think the writer/director did say something about a twist ending though.

I must have missed that post. My fingernails are a very unique tool at times, eating jello seems to make them grow faster, and they always get too long before I trim them except for the 1 or 2 that break somehow. I probably wouldn't be a good employee in a female pedicure salon especially if I had to walk around barefoot. Trimming a dog's nails is a fine art and technology to get it just right. Cat's claws never seem to get too long.

Hi - sorry to ask this question â€" I've been gone for a few days â€" but did the Free Falkie (or whatever it was called) and Casio threads get trashed or something?

I noticed Falkie's latest YouTube vid has no sound.

Falkie and some associated threads have been surgically removed like the cancer that they were.
Casio threads, I couldn't tell ya.  But I hope they were also removed.  He and Falkie were both banned.
Strange how the mentally ill get more attention on this forum than the intelligent.

I'm surprised there's not a "most obviously mentally ill forum members" thread.

I had a bit of attention on me a few weeks ago. I hope I'm not lumped into the above group. I do however think the OP of the threads dedicated to me might have come from the same mutation as Falkio.

There is also a General Musings of The General thread. hmmmmmm.
