What a sick fuck.

I felt like I needed a shower of this after reading about it.

What really threw me for a loop is how NORMAL he seems in interviews. Just some rockstar, nothing that stands out, no impression whatsoever that he's even a weirdo, let alone a dangerous pedophile.

Ugh. I need to take a shower after reading that. If he doesn't make it out of prison alive, no loss to society, the sick bastard, and that applies to the two women who call themselves mothers as well. Jesus.

They were saying the likelihood he'll be killed in prison is high, unless he's kept away from the general population.

Flight is essentially my objective at this point.  I do not have the resources to try to make things work with this person.  She was sort of the "golden girl" from my early school days (met her in 6th grade almost 40 years ago).  Reconnecting with her was unexpected, briefly intoxicating, then quickly became confusing, stressful, even a little frightening.  Yes, running like hell appears to be the best thing to do.

The word frightening is the key issue here. Not a sign of a healthy relationship. Keep going and don't look back. The right woman is out there for you, WotR, but she isn't it.

I don't have the slightest idea, but he is the reason the death penalty exists.
He should be mf cellmate and the both of them should get the death penaly.

I doubt if anyone will shed a tear if he's dealt with.

There are likely many, many more than one because the mothers were in on it, and they ain't talking. The call girl he was involved with said the number was probably in the hundreds. She reported him to the police EIGHT different times since 2007, and nothing was done.

Has anyone heard about this Ian Watkins thing? Holymotheroffuck, the court documents read like 120 Days of Sodom.

I used to really like that band too.

Yes, I read about this several weeks ago.  Hopefully, he'll never see the light of day again.

What makes me sickest is how mothers are treated in many of these cases. It seems they are often treated as victims rather than pigs who willingly turned over their babies to be raped and/or abused in other ways. Until the mothers are held equally responsible, this shit will never stop.

35 years. Seems like a very light sentence considering what he did. Court
documents. I don't recommend reading them.

Well the 2 mothers (that they know of) were sentenced to 15 or so years.

I am glad they got prison time.  I think it should be equal to Watkins' sentence though.

So anyway.. does anyone else find Jimmy Fallon painfully unfunny?

Just a tad.

Maybe a little more than a tad...

And agree again.

There are some manipulative assholes out there... but every person has a choice when it comes right down to it.  The mothers using their children just... wtf.  I think if I truly say what I think about this... I'd be the next to be banned.

I decided to listen to Art. The Dark Matter one with Hoagland. That was a pretty good nap. Hoagland started rambling on about the glass dome and I was out like a light.

I can't change the channel fast enough if Conan or Letterman come on

To me he's like a bratty little kid who thinks he's a lot funnier than he is.  Those little parlour games he'd play with his guests were especially akward to watch.

I used to love Conan on his old late night show, where his quirkiness seemed to work.  As we saw though, on the national big-time stage it fell flat.  If Fallon is smart he picked up on that and will change the tone & style of his schtick.  However the lame promos they've been running do not bode well.

bateman

Boy, this is, uh, hilarious..

How is it this guy has managed to attain arguably the most prestigious position in late night broadc...oh god, we've seen this before.

Never understood the appeal of late night shows. Why would anyone care to hear something lame that happened to some random celebrity? Their monologues are horrible too

What has happened I believe is that it has been sentenced to life in prison*. The 35 years will be a minimum tariff, that it will serve before it can even think about applying for any parole. It doesn't mean it'll serve 35 years and then be released, and I very much doubt it will in the circumstances. I didn't read the details of the trial, because basically the media wouldn't have released the details as they're too harrowing. What I found bewildering is the 'mothers' role in this. It's unlikely it will be in in anything other than isolation; Huntley who murdered two schoolgirls in Soam, Cambridgeshire is on borrowed time, and the press periodically has stories from a released inmate  willing to to say what has happened (One favourite apparently is 'napalm': A concoction of boiling water and sugar, that is thrown in the face of the chosen shit, the water doesn't evaporate).

* today, appeal judges are deciding if the courts can hand down 'whole life' tariffs in sentencing rather than the current 'life but doesn't actually mean till they die'. We currently have a few dozen prisoners who will never be released (Ian Brady being one) because it's considered by the Home office they're too dangerous.

The Watkins thing I think has an ongoing independent investigation as to why the complaints against it were disregarded; I would be surprised if arrests and charges of those individuals didn't ensue: What am I saying? What is likely to happen is 'lessons will have been learned', and the police officers will retire on full pension, or get promoted, and the heads of the children's protection services will evaporate into other well paid jobs.

The only one I've ever really loved was Conan on Late Night.  He's lost a certain something over the years though.  Leno and Fallon are about the unfunniest pair of guys I could imagine.
