That's ridiculous!  There's no way the traditional Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster head attire is plastic and not aluminum.

Aluminum!!!

Aluminum is proper and mandatory for Orthodox Pastafarians, but plastic is acceptable for the Reformed branch. I have no problem with that, but there's something majestic and elegant about aluminum that no plastic will ever match.

I never realized there were so many idiots and jerks in the world until the advent of the internet.  That being said, MV runs a pretty decent forum with some good folks regularly showing-up.

He makes stuff up all the time, especially the stories about the alien probes.

The English pronunciation 'aluminium' always makes me think of an aged British eccentric dishing out stinky canned cat food and talking to his cats for some reason.  Maybe when I was a child I saw an English actor in a cat food commercial.  Anyway, it makes it hard to take someone seriously when they say it that way.

Thank you for saying that and saving me the trouble!

What way? Oh you mean the correct way. Spell out the word then say it like it's spelled. It's not called the Queen's English for nadda. Back me up here Pud.

As  Commonwealth serfs we have to stand up for Brenda's correct pronunciation of English. The New World colonials have ruined our language because frankly they're too lazy to put in extra and neccessary vowels. They then re-write their dictionaries to 'verify' it was always so. Therefore it leaves us no option but to revoke the declaration of Independence until they're able to use English like what it was intended. The way like what we do.

As usual we Canadians are wishy-washy, spelling colour with a 'u' but aluminum without the extra 'i.'  The American pronunciation of turbine always throws me off too.

MV/Liberace!

There are plenty who would disagree, but thanks man.

"Aluminum" is about as Nooristic as it gets.

While we're on the subject, the american pronunciation of "craig" (creg) strangely annoys me. er, in a random stupid way.

Who knew this subject would blow up like plutonum?

And another thing!!! Solder, Used to join metal together, as used in electronic component fixing to circuit boards. Solder. Why then do Americans pronounce it soda? Eh? Why? Why?

OK, we mess up on pronunciation. But we sure as hell make a better breakfast.

This talk about colanders really takes me back. I am reminded of that embarrassing mix-up when Spiñal Tap sent out their 1992 promotional calendars.  At least the mistake was rendered in stainless steel:

Okay..I'll grant you that one. I do have a liking for hash browns. I do though like fried bacon, eggs, bread, mushrooms...lots of toast and jam (Blueberry), decent coffee.. Juice (Orange, cranberry or grapefruit)....And then a good nap afterwards.

Makes perfect sense. Why limit yourselves to four syllables when you can get the job done with five?  Now go feed your moggie.
