That is petty. I mean taking away the trumpet (probably one of the few possessions) that a homeless guy with some mental issues has is outright shitty. Are they concerned that if they leave the trumpet in his possession he might play a song "at them" as opposed to "for them"?

There are two schools of thought.  Under the first, returning personal property is a bureaucratic procedure that can't keep up with the speed at which detainees are released, and thus bears no malice.  Under the second police tolerance at the protest (technically they can arrest anybody once they declare them unlawful assemblies/riots, which is routine) allows individual officers to target people who annoy them, and the face shot from 20 feet away suggests there's at least one utterly joyless grudge-holding sadist with potentially murderous intentions in the Fed ranks.

This guy was actually turned in by his grandmother. She recognized him because she had bought him the vest to protect him from rubber bullets.  She even left a positive review on the vendor’s website about how her grandson had been at the protests for several nights and it worked well. 

But, unfortunately for the young anarchist, she is a Trump supporter and was pissed off when she saw what her grandson did.

I believe that the new city slogan an the entrance (or, more likely, exits) to Seattle should now read: "Seattle- We finally jumped the shark."

They are advancing legislation that reads, in part:

The Criteria for organizations receiving funding?

"The organizations replacing the SPD will need to demonstrate several characteristics, including:
    Culturally-relevant expertise rooted in community connections
    Well versed in de-escalation skills and mental health support
    Trauma-informed, gender-affirming, anti-racist praxis
    Connected to resources like housing, food security, and other basic needs.

What bill out of the Seattle city council would be complete without a nod to the cornerstone of communism. Direct wealth and land transfer?

I'm actually impressed that they are going to give away public land based on race. That takes some balls.

Talk about burying the lede or just fake news and trying to get clicks. I was hoping, from the headline, that some old photos resurfaced from his fraternity or high school days and that he was actually wearing a NAZI uniform, like so many other Democratic politicians, royals, Hollywood liberals, and Leftists have done with black face, brown face, NAZI uniforms, etc. But it was just some political satire poking fun at his authoritarian policies.

As a man I welcome your scorn but as a lover I must defend my honor.  Of course the many sonnets I composed for Shreddie's pleasure rate no mention at all.  How unfair, and depressingly common.  Not that they were great sonnets, but they were learned sonnets, perfect in rhyme and meter.  I ask you, how many men have inspired sonnets in the last fifty years?  If Shreddie is half the man I think he is, that feat will stoke the embers of his heart until his dying day.
