I hope not the fat and/or ugly ones.

Of course not; that's crazy talk.

Never mind all that just bask in the magnificence.

He earned two great welts on his back for that escapade.  When they tried to close off the park again a couple days ago he wrapped himself in police tape and was arrested again but out the same day, sans trumpet held as evidence (again).  A trombone attempted to fill in that night, with an admirable rendition of the Imperial March, but I couldn't see who was playing it.

That is petty. I mean taking away the trumpet (probably one of the few possessions) that a homeless guy with some mental issues has is outright shitty. Are they concerned that if they leave the trumpet in his possession he might play a song "at them" as opposed to "for them"?

There are two schools of thought.  Under the first, returning personal property is a bureaucratic procedure that can't keep up with the speed at which detainees are released, and thus bears no malice.  Under the second police tolerance at the protest (technically they can arrest anybody once they declare them unlawful assemblies/riots, which is routine) allows individual officers to target people who annoy them, and the face shot from 20 feet away suggests there's at least one utterly joyless grudge-holding sadist with potentially murderous intentions in the Fed ranks.

Fortunately, the angle released by the DOJ recently shows it a little more clearly. I'm going to say that the kid is luck to only be charged with arson (minimum 5 year sentence.)

This guy was actually turned in by his grandmother. She recognized him because she had bought him the vest to protect him from rubber bullets.  She even left a positive review on the vendor’s website about how her grandson had been at the protests for several nights and it worked well.

But, unfortunately for the young anarchist, she is a Trump supporter and was pissed off when she saw what her grandson did.

One news clip I read said he was the one sneaking a peak at the nude ladies vijay while “guarding” her with a cardboard shield.

Both could be true. I hope some rich musician, intrument shop, or a gofundme gets him another trumpet quickly. Schools are out or online. No band or music class. Certainly they have spare i instruments. No football- so no marching bands. So donate some trumpets to him. For social justice because BLM. And nothing says BLM better than a tall, shirtless Nordic type playing a brass instrument.

I believe that the new city slogan an the entrance (or, more likely, exits) to Seattle should now read: "Seattle- We finally jumped the shark."

They are advancing legislation that reads, in part:

"WHEREAS, the Council is committed to confronting the structural and institutional racism as a fundamental step towards addressing the racist institution of policing,"

"Whereas, these protests forced many nationwide and in Seattle to confront the racism that has been plaguing the Black community for centuries and spread to other communities of color, the harmful impacts of white supremacy culture, and the Seattle Police Department's (SPD) role in perpetuating racism and violence."

The Criteria for organizations receiving funding?

"The organizations replacing the SPD will need to demonstrate several characteristics, including:
Culturally-relevant expertise rooted in community connections
Well versed in de-escalation skills and mental health support
    Trauma-informed, gender-affirming, anti-racist praxis
Connected to resources like housing, food security, and other basic needs.

What bill out of the Seattle city council would be complete without a nod to the cornerstone of communism. Direct wealth and land transfer?
"They city should prioritize the following near term housing solutions"
"immediate transfer of underutilized public land for BIPOC community ownership, including, where necessary, purchase and activation capital and upfront transaction costs."

I'm actually impressed that they are going to give away public land based on race. That takes some balls.

Anyhow, I'm glad that I can watch this unfold from afar.

*I went looking for the original proposal without success. But I found a zerohedge article with some great comments under it.  8)

I wonder how many coppers the Shitty of Seattle has?  How many of them will be able to find positions anywhere else in LE.  Is the Shitty of Seattle going to renege on the contracts that they have in place with their LE employees? How are they going to pay off the coppers without going broke?

Talk about burying the lede or just fake news and trying to get clicks. I was hoping, from the headline, that some old photos resurfaced from his fraternity or high school days and that he was actually wearing a NAZI uniform, like so many other Democratic politicians, royals, Hollywood liberals, and Leftists have done with black face, brown face, NAZI uniforms, etc. But it was just some political satire poking fun at his authoritarian policies.

That was just to get her to show up and defend herself, with her usual indignant rectitude.  I'd point out, with all due delicacy, that in these parts offense-taking, even contrived, is a far more potent lure than certain other propositions, and suggest you might adopt this as a tactic in your suit.  You can, it seems, catch more flies with vinegar.

Ahh, here it is! My usual indignant rectitude?! How dare you!

OK, I'm off again, be back next time K_dubb says something mean about me.

Also, probably don't take dating advice from someone whose idea of it is to stalk their prey with a tray of baked goods from some god-forsaken country. Never-mind, it might be a good technique. I don't know. Maybe I'm just hungry.

A salty dog is made with salted glass, clear liquor, and white grapefruit juice.

Note that I am using the word "white" here. It's possible you've never heard of--or even met--a true salty dog. I'm just sayin'.

I've never been to a bar in Homer. Who is this anyway? Are you posting from a cell phone?? Prank caller, prank caller.

Heya, Roz!

Did you see this one:

Quote from: K_Dubb on June 21, 2020, 11:26:49 AM
It was the most flagrant example of gender-appropriate policing behavior I have ever encountered, breathtaking in its scope, damning not only me but every kid who ever had long hair for whatever reason!  It is what I have always suspected:  lurking in that bosom is a priggish schoolmarm with a rolling pin in one hand and clippers in the other.

Good to see you around, I was beginning to get worried about you again and make another post in the "People We Miss On This Awesome Forum" thread.

Cheers!

As a man I welcome your scorn but as a lover I must defend my honor.  Of course the many sonnets I composed for Shreddie's pleasure rate no mention at all.  How unfair, and depressingly common.  Not that they were great sonnets, but they were learned sonnets, perfect in rhyme and meter.  I ask you, how many men have inspired sonnets in the last fifty years?  If Shreddie is half the man I think he is, that feat will stoke the embers of his heart until his dying day.

There was a young man from Nantucket
Whose dick was so long he could suck it.
    He said with a grin
As he wiped off his chin,
"If my ear was a cunt I would fuck it."

Like that? :) LOL
