The quality of Coast to Coast's guests can be erratic enough; tonight's guest, author Patrick Heron, was no exception. But Linda Moulton Howe without a doubt has to be their most soporific.

Her monotone delivery is bad enough: it's painfully obvious she's reading from a script 95% of the time, as her interviews are littered with awkward pauses and amateurish segues. But why she's permitted back on the program week after week to spend the entire evening speaking -- it's just beyond me how Noory can keep from falling asleep, because ninety minutes into one of her "groundbreaking" reports and half the audience must be out like a light.

Rollercoaster, didn't you think the LMH program on the Aztec UFO crash was in contrast to the usual, which you describe so well?

Nice. Good visualizations in few words.

A writer's life in L.A.: must be harsh.

A writer's life anywhere: harsher more so.

Good concept, good summary, still: no work, little comfort
having deep thoughts. The non-buyers of good concepts: pricks.

The pricks produce all the crap. Yet somehow, in all this mix
called 'survival of the fittest' in business, some real art does
get through.

'Facts'?  Writing isn't about 'facts'.

Product alone is 'fact'.

Lucky are we all when 'product', good writing, and fact align.

Not neccessarily in that order.

r.

Hey Roger --  This post reminded me, I've been meaning to ask you if you are a screenwriter in L.A. or are your writing book(s)?

They dump the body in the ocean (they don't want anyone to have it)

They have pictures but they won't release them (they don't want anyone to see them)

They have witnesses but they can't talk (they don't want anyone telling what they saw)

There are official stories that keep changing.

Damn.  Sounds like a UFO crash.  SOP for American Military

Wow- that leaves you, Morphiaflow, as the only life raft on an ocean of fakery and gossip.  Did Art hint that he would be keeping you informed at all on the status of his legal action against FR?

Don't need to say much more.  Your posts over the last couple pages have proven my point vis-a-vis the similarities between you and Mr. Rock, as any number of members here have pointed out.  I believe they used terms like "obsessed", "taking things personally", etc.?  What don't you get?

RCD - I totally respect that you may have a different point of view than georgesucks, but I am disappointed that you slipped into personal criticism.  Her take on things may seem obsessive to you; however, that does not mean she is obsessed.

It may mean that she understands these events in a deeper, more personal way than you do.  This could be an opportunity for you to think deeper yourself, OR you can take offense that someone takes things further than you would.  One of the things that makes this forum unique is the diversity of opinion without the snarkiness.

Perhaps a person takes things personally for their own reasons and chooses to share that with a forum where they feel safe.  Why would that upset you so much that would would insult her by insisting that she was the same as the perpetrator she is talking about?  And then borrowing power by saying others agree with you?  That is bullying and I can't believe you would use your considerable intellect and articulation to be so rude in person.

Boneheaded, stubborn, and unrepentant, George rams an unusually dull and disjointed show down our throats.  The only subject I wanted to hear about (besides the apology which never came - sorry I missed that "countdown" thread - you folks are a lively bunch) was how dead Osama was.  Instead John Lott talked about guns, and Dr. Rollin McCraty on the effects of gamma rays on man-of-the-moon marigolds.  "How come when it's raining for, say, a week, people get depressed; but when the sun is shinning people feel better?"  Because you are surrounded by enablers that allow you to believe that adults ask questions like that.  I want an apology for that question.  Tonight.  I'm writing an email.

mob_pitchforks_big.jpg

I was miffed as well.  Here we have an event which may significantly change the foreign pollicy quagmire which has cost trillions of dollars and thousands of lives and Coast to Coast is talking about.... (GEORGE)  What exactly is the process when a person applies for a gun permit?  Really?  Why don't you launch into my family's inside joke, the most boring topic there is, "How A Bill Becomes A Law."  Where are the remote viewers who didn't view?  The psychics who didn't intuit?  The astrologers who learned nothing from the stars?  The fortune tellers, gypsies and prognosticators of all the hues and colors for the last ten years who have NOT, NO NOT ONE, predicted this.

Yes, ana, and i laughed like a fool most of that time - something I needed badly.  I'm not unhappy - just dealing with a number of matters that take serious consideration.  Letting my hair down last night though early morning was a GREAT.

now it seems that the stream is up, and Michael and I will be on live tonight.  I'm an old lady - after LAST night - I'm gonna need a nap!

On Trainwreck?  What time and how to get it?

I believe Douglas Stangley forfeited his right to privacy by violating the Terms of Service here and faking up support for himself from himself.  He showed no respect for the very minimal rules we have here.  We have all been to over-moderated forums and CoastGab works because we voluntarily keep the rules and keep it civil, despite strong beliefs.  Otherwise, it would be just too much work for Mike and FR/DSOM has already cost him hours of valuable time.

Since Douglas Stangley is openly seeking a relationship, it is only fair that women who may be considering him be fully informed.  By identifying him, it makes it possible for a woman seeking information about the handsome, pleasant man she has been dating (lol) to see his antics here and esp his duplicity.

All kidding aside for a minute (and only a minute), this forum provides community for a group of people who lost their community when Art left.  And unlike the passing of the torch in other societal settings, this torch was passed to a person who asked, "What's the torch for?" and had to have it explained to him what the phrase "passing the torch means."  And it has been so ever since the day Noory first spit on a Premiere microphone.

It doesn't matter if CoastGab is "effective" because it's main purpose is giving me and people like me a place in cyberspace to gripe, share info, post music and hang out and unwind.  It isn't everybody's cup of tea no more than each of the people that peek in here are everybody's cup of tea.  And plenty of people enjoy hanging with us and just listening to the banter-- last night was a great example of that.

And don't think for a minute these cyber space buddies aren't real friendships.  I have been to conferences and seen posters stand up and identify themselves as their logons and other people run to hug them and these people know each other.  Last night Ev and I and Guerilla Unreal were the last dogs standing at the end of the Nooryfest. People who will come to a make-believe party awaiting an apology that we all really know is never coming and cracking jokes while we are all doing other things (I was FINALLY filing those old papers I've had in to-be-filed stack since 2001, eating ice cream, and posting).

So if somebody wants to set up a blog, fine.  If not, fine. I'm just not going to do it.  I'll call sponsors because it will be fund to call or write and then report back here what the response is.   As long as I'm enjoying myself, I really don't care if it's with Coast and Art or with CoastGab and Noory, capisce? (did I finally get that spelling right....lol)

I like it- you go first, Lunger, and return and report.  Call tonight and we'll all be listening!  Oh- and have your computer on so you can post live and tell us how many screeners you get, how long you wait, etc.

START A FAUX CHAT THREAD called LUNGER CALLING TONIGHT and we'll hang with you.  I'll be out of town but once everyone is asleep, there I'll be, walleyed as usual...

Control is not the main issue here. Let me give you an example to make it clear for you. Lets take the recent demise of OBL. This was a powerful influential leader of the Al Quaida group. But your website of the George bashers has no leader. Its just like a terrorist organization that never had a leader that could do anything. They just wonder aimlessly and eventually fade away with empty threats. So if you all were hoping to plan a sortive disastrous event for George and Coast to Coast you will never succeed because your not a strong enough group. Just like you have concluded. I am glad you see the point about this situation.

Hi IvannZ,

Did you read the terms of service, sir?  Mmmm, I think not because you seem not to be aware that a sense of humor is a requirement. Sir (!), this is not an advocacy group and the only leader is MV, who wishes he were just a cat like the rest of us. It just happens that some of us nightowls need some night time entertainment and have discovered that there are more laughs on CoastGab than there are on Coast to Coast.

Now, take me to YOUR leader...........

Well, Ev, it's you and me left -- Dr. Judy Wood joins with her theory of directed energy of technology (which she believes can take down buildings)

For real entertainment, instead of the Sleep Member bed ad, I give you quotes from George Noory talking to Lionel Fanthorpe on 4/8/11:

GEORGE:  There's one person where EVEN I want to just sit back and listen.... (introducing Fanthorpe)

GEORGE:  I've always believed this universe has good and bad--why is that?

and with Chuck Missler on 4/3/11

GEORGE:  The older I become the more fascinating I become with..ah...this interesting field of yours.

4:30 is my drop dead point...perhaps literally. Noory has caused dyspepsia for me tonight. That wig-wearing bozo. Such a shitball...

You manned up and stayed-- helluva guy, Eddie!  This crap is especially mind numbing.  I've lapsed into fatigued giggles.  The last caller could not pronounce "magnetic", kept calling it  "magnetical".  I'm picturing this dude is like 15 sitting in a dark room with just the light of the computer bluing up his face.  And he's speaking quietly so his parents don't hear him.

Yes, it would be fun to draw a cartoon of the Coast audience based on the sponsors:

It's an animal-loving older person with difficulty sleeping, who is depressed and has erectile dysfunction.  They have their money in gold and efood and don't use banks--keep their money at home. THey are fearful and do not visit friends, preferring to send flowers for special occasions.  They are low income as they are unable to afford a Las Vegas promotion unless it is free and they are treated like a "high roller".  They resist modern technology and simply buy a better built radio instead of getting a laptop.  The Coast listener is lonely and needs constant reassurance that the Coast to Coast program will "always be there."  This is an attachment problem manifesting itself through attachment to a celebrity.  The host pretends to "care" about them although he fails to prepare an entertaining show for those he cares for.

NOORY:  They might have a pace macer...

CALLER:  Is there any thing like a geomanetical field and the moon, like a geomanetical thing?

GUEST:   Long pause... hello?  What was it?

CALLER:  Manetical fields and hormones.

Oh Oh - here it comes.  The speaker forgot to mention that "they" have developed a machine --A MACHINE--to help you measure your coherence.  I snapped out of my semi-comatose Coast doze the minute he mentioned it.  Website, price, everyone is hawking something...even your standard non-materialistic heart monitoring machine to see if you have compassion.....

Is this guy a bag of garble or WHAT?

NOORY:  I have no doubt it is what it is but the question is why

GUEST:  What are you talking about?

NOORY:  Why it works the way it does?

GUEST:  Because the earth is pulling around our brain waves by singing at the same frequencies.  And you can measure that.  We need self-regulation tools to control our coherence...you know, see what's going on.

Sweet Jesus.  No doubt it fits in a suitcase, your basic geodetic environment monitor. Vago affrent stimulators...when we're in a heart coherent state, we do it naturally, but we can do it with a machine... No wonder Onan thinks this whole vibration area is a crock.

I am mentally composing my extreme emergency sponsor alert message.  In addition to my "wouldn't you like to know" component, I now can throw I and other long time listeners asked him to apologize and he refused.  And I give them the mp3 which Hal9000 is going to put into a single audiofile for us.

Arrogant bastard doesn't think he has to apologize to anyone because he's the most wonderful host of the most wonderful show.  Cretin.

I've NEVER been a "boycott" guy...but I'm starting to feel that way now. To hell with this clown,Noory...whatever it takes to be rid of him is fine by me.

         Ends justify all means here...

No boycotts are really necessary, I mean, how many of us can take away our use of Ageless Male?  Or refuse to go to the depression clinic?  No--this is just providing the information.  We go metaphorically with our best clothes and say, "Excuse me sir, just thought you ought to know that the man who tells people to send your flowers said this last Monday.... and also this.... he's really a loose canon, quite a risk.  Google "George Noory Sucks"

We are working on it, bro.  JustOneFix says he wants to start a simple blogspot to post the reasons why an advertiser might not want to be associated with Noory.    The sponsors are the key.

When I lived in Monterey, there was a place called Monastery Beach.  That's what the tourists called it, but the locals called it Mortuary Beach.  The ocean dropped off like 600 feet and it looked just like an ordinary beach with a gradual sand bank going gently off into the surf.  Every so often a wave would come in and just pluck a couple off the beach, like a giant hand and then crash back down pushing them so far down they didn't have enough time to come up.  There were signs with skeleton heads all around and yet still- here would be these little (usually Asian) couples walking back and forth.  I began to wonder if they were maybe seeking relief from this mortal coil....
#598
I always liked the way an old couple did it when I lived in Park City.  It was elegant, romantic and allowed their chlldren to collect on the life insurance.  They lived in Park City for 35 years and one winter a storm came in and closed the roads, not unusual.  They pretended to get lost and pulled over on a lonely road up by the trailhead of a popular summer hiking trail.  Then they walked off.  They found their bodies frozen, arms around each other.  The newspaper said they got lost and accidentally froze.  End of story, and ending where no one ends up maintaining the other's colostomy bag and no daily battle with pain. And no grieving for either of them.

  (Heart produces hormones)

NOORY: When it does, it affects you in all different ways, but you also mentioned something else...

This is an example of the Noory strategy of attempting to pretend that the subject switching question on his 3x5 card is tied into what the guest is saying.

He's gonna prolong the torture.  The General may be right.

It is also true, though, (as someone said earlier) that George tends to put off things like this to the last few seconds of the show, knowing how many have already clicked off the radio knob.
Or, hopefully, fallen asleep.  Tomorrow I'm going to FASTBLAST him re apologizing about saying OBL should be in the SMithsonian.

Have you ever wondered if Noory is one of these people who are detached from cultural IQ?  Like doesn't know what the Smithsonian is for... doesn't know that people in America just don't say things like "it doesn't get better than this" when 3000 people were killed.
