All this because George PM'd me asking basically if I was a spy.  I was shocked at the question, and responded badly.  I didn't mean to cause George any stress.  I honestly believe he was trying to be very nice to me in his own comical way until he questioned my about sharing Fortress Posts and PM's. I'm sincerely sorry this has happened.  I wish it hadn't.

They were already felons doing time IN prison.
I had a private attorney and was not privy to the negotiations that might have been made between the judge, the da and the defendants.

As for lesbians writing in notebooks, I said that in SF and elsewhere that was all the rage for women to do ( BEFORE the advent of the personal computer ). They sat in coffee shops all over and wrote copiously in the pages of their journals. I saw it happen for years and in conversations with some of them, some WERE lesbians and undoubtedly MANY were lesbians in a city with such a high LGB population.

Milton Stevens retired from the LAPD in 1998 and took pictures of my at my arraignment after I got arrested for the comic book theft. He was NOT in uniform but a ranked officer and it was at the Santa Monica station, I think, but don't remember after 43 years. I made restitution and got probation which I completed successfully.
