i agree   she should take a page  from  60 minutes interviewers      -no matter what you have to ask good questions  according to the vibe of the guest

Larry King would disagree.  ;)

I'll check it out!

You might want to fill a bath with holy water first, so you can clean up later ;

What I find particularly interesting is that this guy has been slinging his hash on the George Noory show & the John B. Wells show for years, but this is the first time I've heard Art Bell...

Oh, dammit.

This guy should be a professor at Liberty University.

Heh. Oh, by the way Gabblings, I have my PhD. & MD. from University of the Bahamas. I clicked ctrl-p. BAM! Now I'm surgeon.

Good point making. Tough interviewing with tact is indeed an art. Noory is definitely not an artist in that regard. I don't know whether Heather is or not. Maybe it's smarter to be a kind interviewer at this point in her career. Actually, it probably is.

I think it's probably riskier to be a kind interviewer, especially at this point in her radio endeavors. Her voice and delivery make me want to grab her and demand to know what a nice girl like her is doing in a place like this. If anyone in radio could benefit from being even briefly possessed by the Devil, i think it would be Heather.

Art had a "thing" about this kind of shit...he wasn't partial to drinking this kind of Kool-Aid.  Even when he let them run on their own steam, he always made subtle nonverbal cues so you knew he wasn't buying it either.  The way he used tone and inflection and sometimes just grunts and noises to communicate, was fucking awesome.

I love the great old recordings.  Too much of the new stuff is over produced, synthetic sounding and "too" good sounding.  Way too many plugins and effects added.

In the old days, they would jam it out in the studio and record into a few mics.  Old school.  Love that stuff.

Amen, and I was talking about older recordings of symphonies etc (and also those old blue grass etc) some fun stuff, like a cough, but so "cool" for real sound.

Who could have seen this coming?
I see from your profile that MV lets you keep your original "join" date rather than the date of your most recent un-banning.  Welcome back.

Yeah! I hear you man.  My favorite classical recording.  1958.  A Texan does Tchaikovsky!   ;D  I used to listen to this every day.  Ass kicking!

Dammit!  You outed me!  That was a classified mission hunting down genetically modified killer squirrels.  Their little squirrel brains achieved near human sentience during the run into Baghdad and my team and I spent days hunting the furry fucks through the streets and sewers.
Can't tell you just how many times I had to tease the fuckers out with my nuts.  Then  BANG! dead.

That was some good eating.

What I mostly remember is Art swilling down the Charles Faddis Lemonade.

It's all true, every word. Trust him at his word. He sounds like a trustworthy guy...

You didn't think up the 'holographic universe theory', you prick.

And often that "thing" was the thing that kept you from changing the station. That "thing" is huge.

Dawkins would annihilate this guy in a debate
