The ghoul never retreats very far.  He was logged onto BellGab at 08:56:46 PM tonight.  He must know he doesn't have to log in to lurk here, which makes me think he still wants us to KNOW he's been here...spying...creeping around.

The GF was born in Smolensk, emigrated to Israel, then here... we speak Yiddish at home, she speaks Russian or Yiddish with the family.  When she visits me at the office, after she leaves my coworkers ask me if she knows English - even though in public we only speak in English (well, I speak English, she speaks what she considers English to be)

Anyone ever experience an animal "ghost" or spirit?


I've always had dogs and or cats.  Back in 2010 one of my old dogs was in decline and fading, lots of trips to the Vet.  On one of those visits to the Vet, I noticed a picture of two kittens that needed adoption so I asked the staff to meet them.  They were apparently litter mates that had been abandoned and one of them was injured so severely his right front leg had to be amputated.  Of course I took them home and made them a part of the family.  Both turned into very loving, cool cats.


Fast forward three years and its April 2013.  Sadly, one of the cats developed a cancerous tumor and I ended up having to put him down.  That night when I went to bed, after a minute or two I felt a cat jump up on me as I laid on my side and start "kneeding" my hip.  When a cat starts that motion with his front paws its a sign of contentment and love.  After a few seconds I realized that my only surviving cat was the one with only one front paw, and he has to be laying down or sitting to do that motion.  This cat was standing on me with four legs. I opened my eyes and raised my head and no one was there and motion stopped.  I glanced outside my door and the low light motion LED in my hallway had not gone off.  (It stays on 3 minutes when it is triggered.)  There was no cat on my side.


I walked out to my den and my 3 legged cat was exactly where he was when I went to bed, sleeping on my desk.


So I interpreted this was my departed cat saying goodbye for the last time... and it was just a nice feeling.   Sappy, but true.

My mother had a very similar experience with her cat.  I can't remember the particulars but it she felt exactly the same, that he had come back to say he was fine and don't worry.

Remley. Yes, many times with animals since I was very young. Growing up in dogs (we show them), many have come to me. Friends dogs and also ones I've painted for clients (memorial art). See them and also smell them.
