I somehow doubt it. I think he’s independently wealthy. His dad was the guy who created the Lear Jet.

Somebody was mentioning last year that Lear was having money trouble in recent years.

Of course “money troubles” can mean a different thing to someone who can’t afford to renew their car registration and someone who has a 5000sqft modern home in a wealthy retirement community. 

But John was the black sheep of the family though .  I don’t think he was wealthy as one would presume with the Lear name.  Probably still loaded compared to normal people .  Taken care of for a career of work as a cia glowie

No, before the family who the movie was made about moved in a mob family lived there whose son murdered his parents and two sisters.

He claimed voices told him to do it but the prosecution believed it to be a creative attempt at an insanity plea. I think he was ultimately convicted.

John Lear's first wife was taken from him by Batman (Adam West) - they met when  John appeared on an episode of the 1966-68 Batman show.
