Art,

You always address the negative posts. You seem to obsess about them. I don't think I have ever seen you thank someone that has posted anything that was in support of you. Why address your detractors?  Why not connect with your fans.

Just a thought.

Cuz I think him and falkie are long lost relatives. ;D

Yes, I was thinking the same thing but wouldn't say it for some reason. I'm glad you did. It had to be said. Art, we all need to learn to ignore the negative and focus on the positive more. It's a good prescription!  ;)

For example, I've been on here for months now and haven't once looked at the Falkie thread. It IS possible, Art!  :P

I saw somebody who said I only care about myself and not the listeners who were with me for Decades, nothing could be further from the truth, I will take to my grave the connection I have felt for those who spent countless late nights with me and were loyal to a fault. Without the support of those of you who loved the show as I loved doing it there would have been no show. I was never in this for the money, not ever, I was in it for the love of doing it, the subjects covered and the joy it brought to those who listened.

Art

i think 95 % of people here know this and get it so please don't worry about the ones who don't understand - and yeah it would be nice to hear whats doing in art's world these days, hows the kid?  hows the drone working out -there are plenty here who care about you and it would be nice to let us know -hows things?

p.s.  Maybe that was what you were trying to do with the last one, but it didn't start off that way.

^-- this.  Plus, why don't you just engage your fans a bit with some Q&A? Another gabcast, or on here? Why always the quick post then *poof*? I'm sure many would like to know how you are doing and what you are thinking. Ignore the trolls and just dive into the chaos and go for a swim for a bit.

Guys
This is not minisule stuff.
This is very very important to the future of broadcast radio.
I will limit the subject matter to what we all know is upmost in all our minds.
I have to schedule this meeting soon, as i believe it is in the best interest of
all of the members of bellgab to finally have someone who is powerful, well respected
and capable of making it happen.
I am very very smart and will use my talents to bring to the sucessfull conclusion of the
meeting with the results we all want and soon.

thanks again, please note, i have enough notes now, please do not send anymore to my inbox,
with over 1,000 pages now, it is getting hard to manage and MV is telling me that it is starting to
tax the server.  so please do not contact me via my inbox anymore, just continue to support me via posts on this board.
An average board member may not grasp my influence, i am willing to over look that for now.
Please continue to hold your faith in me, i will not let you down.

thanks
bobo

Art,
Anyone who listens to your old shows already knows this. The energy, intelligence and palyfulness (especially when dealing with JC) is evident. If you never come on the radio again, at least we will have the legacy you built.

Art,

I'll start off the chat. I was USAF - 7 years 11 months. We just started a Veteran's thread over in the Politics Topic. You should check it out. Maybe there are some things you would like to share, or resources you are aware of that we haven't listed yet.

During my brief misadventure on Sirius, I did come to like the "Deep Tracks" station.  So nice to hear alternatives to the same old obvious picks.

I used to have Sirius in my car. In order to expand my horizons I decided to listen to every channel for at least 10 minutes. Well I picked up a young hitchhiker while I was on the ten minutes of some speed metal. Suffice it to say he was a bit freaked out. lol This was in West Virginia.

That might have been me. Haven't listened to speed metal ever since.

Art we knew and know it.  That is what separated you from all the other talk show hosts.  I for one, enjoy listening to you not only for the topics you discuss, but because of who you are.   You have a unique life experience, and you offer a real alternative to main stream media.  Because you are independent, the listener like myself knows that you are speaking your truth.  That is such a rare thing these days.  You have and do touch many hearts Art.  You chose to share your personal life with us.  I for one am grateful.  Please, if able, continue to share that unique gift you have with us.

Surely you can do a show one day a week?
You'd need to ask Mrs. Bell, but she's not gonna allow it.

Ahhh, this has been fun reading tonight.  Reading these outside the thread is as fun as reading them in context--such as it is.

I can't remember. It was in the panhandle part, eastern West Virginia. Once the dude realized he had a nice safe ride I think he changed his travel plans to where he really wanted to go which was pretty far away.

Hey Art-- try a podcast.  Pretty low commitment & can be recorded whenever you feel like it.
Just look at the gabcast to see just how low the commitment. ;D

Quote from: ACE of CLUBS on April 05, 2016, 12:56:53 PMArt was right about one thing ....... 'George get's it'
Whether by accident or not ... it doesn't really matter, George now has a show that appeals to a larger cross-section of listeners.
He's branched out into other subjects .... has variety, good week-end hosts, and has actually improved his own presentation a little bit.
So I'm not the only one who's noticed this trend.

Sure, it'd be great to have more Art Bell, but an improved C2C where GN no longer S is almost as good.

I think you scrambled the word order there, maybe "including low power stations run by community groups"; or did you really mean low power community groups?

My favorite is famous in that field, WFMU.  http://wfmu.org
