I want to thank everybody. I have been so busy it's just silly so if you don't see as many posts from me, that's why. We are still killing little bugs and it will get smoother as we go. Again from my Heart thank you all

Art

Great show Art! You could have told me that episode was from 96 and I wouldn't have known the difference. Good to have you back  :)

I saw one on YouTube earlier today that had commercials.  Really!! Not just ripping off Art's show but making money on it.
I didn't know what to do about it.

I saw the comments under the videos of one guy complaining that some people can't afford $5 a month. They have internet connections so LISTEN LIVE!!!! Problem solved. If you aren't around the internet at that time ask a local station to carry it. You get all the bumpers and it sounds AMAAAAAAAAAZING.

Has anyone else had any trouble downloading the show from the Midnight in the Desert site?

I tried the first show and the test and none of them are working.

I've had no problems with either show.

I don't buy that someone can't afford $5 a month. That's two medium coffees at Starbucks. It's less than the price of a matinee movie screening or a quarter pounder meal at McDonald's. If you don't have an extra $5 every month, you should probably have someone else in control of your finances.

I just had an opportunity to listen to the July 19 test run.  The glitches are reminiscent of AM radio fading, so nothing is lost there. But when all the packets were coming through, I thought the quality was excellent (using ear buds).  I listen to Laura Ingraham most days, rarely running into any glitch at all, far better than any AM radio, in my opinion, so there is much promise for MiTD.  As for Redacted's comment about Donald Trump, I thought it was silly, given by her own admission that she doesn't have time to keep up with politics, much less even knew that the Donald is the Republican frontrunner, a guy who seems to be smart enough to align himself with the majority of our population who believe we are being overrun by illegal immigrants.  He's also a one-percenter, smart enough to know that without a strong middle class, there can be no one-percenters at all.  Without reversing the decline of the middle class, our great nation is doomed.  Anyone standing in the way of restoring the middle class to its former greatness, deserves what will be served up to them.  Anyway, no intention here to be political, but as long as Art and Redacted took the liberty, I thought I would, too.

It's pretty obvious none of you have been broke. 5 dollars could be mean eating one day or not. I've been there. Pirating is pirating. It will always exist. We can do what we can if we feel the need..  reply to these youtube videos in the comments mentioning they can listen live for free.

You're right, 5 bucks can be a world changer to someone struggling financially. If that is the case, worrying about getting a podcast stream should be the last thing on the priorities list.

Can I just say â€" and I know people are going to throw vegetables at me â€" that I miss Evelyn Paglini and damn, it would've been cool to hear her raspy voice on Art's new show? Maybe he can bring in someone to channel her. DO IT, ART!

I always thought they were good together in the old days. George kind of diluted her, bless his heart.

Right there with ya. She was scheduled to be on Dark Matter too and I was really looking forward to that. I'd love to hear one more time "But Art, you also must bind down the action unwanted!"

I hope he finds an excellent witch for some appearances but even if he finds a great one I'll still miss that ole witch.

I bought a Little Ceasars large pizza for 5 bucks a while back, enough calories for 2 days.  Five bucks after one year each month means food for an entire month.  Spend it at Starbucks instead, and you won't get enough calories for a few minutes.

I always wanted to know, what is the elevation of Ayers Rock, or the distance from the base to the summit?

Uluru stands 348 m (1,142 ft) high, rising 863 m (2,831 ft) above sea level with most of its bulk lying underground, and has a total circumference of 9.4 km (5.8 mi).

5 bucks could mean having enough gas to get to work, or having to bum a ride. Been there. It's not a fun life...

I won't down anyone who says they can't pay 5 bucks. I take their word for it. If you don't have it, you don't have it.

Thankfully, I can get a sub which I haven't got around to yet. But the truly broke people are out there more than we think.

If you can afford to pay for high speed internet you can afford to pay 5 bucks to support the show.....some people are so absurd.

I've been broke. I have sympathy and empathy, however if you're paying for an internet connection and 5 bucks is the difference between you eating and not, then you're priorities are all fucked.

Is anyone as excited about SIT this week as I am?

If there is some one on here who truly can't afford a membership, someone who's not new and who's been posting for awhile. PM me, i'd rather gift you a membership then you pirate it.

I'll take on one person for this, maybe others on the board who want to help someone out will follow suit or maybe not. But shoot over a PM and I will consider helping some one out if they truly can't afford the 5 bucks.

I will pay the 5 bucks just in case I ever figure out how to upgrade my devices so I can stream. But in the meantime I am upgrading my radio with hopes of hearing Art on an AM station.

I was part of a gun forum, and a member gifted me an NRA membership a couple years ago. In kind, if you can't afford a stream, message me.  I can't promise I'll pay for a year, but I'll help with what I can. I could help a few people out. That's the kind of karma that comes 'round...

Between MITD, Caravan, and Dreamland I've given Dish Network the boot! Not that I hate the medium, but I am fresh out of time for visual media. I drive a lot for work, so most days I can fit 3-4 hours of shows in while driving
