Pretty funny reading Art's book like that. Almost like only reading Naked Lunch while high on heroin or tennessee Williams while drinking absinthe. Congratulations on the seven weeks! Hardest thing in the world to quit. I've been smoke free since 11/11/11,after 28 years of sometimes 3 packs of filterless a day. I tried every method known to man for the previous 15 years and cold turkey ended up being the only way. How did you quit?

I sucked down two boxes of sugar free ice pops a week too.  :P And gum, lots of sugarless gum.

No to Richard Hoagland.

Im so sick of him.

Nighthawk

I remember calling into Art's show years ago when I was younger. I got through a few times. I remember being so excited. I had the shows recorded. I would listen to them over and over. Then I remember recently, In the past 10 years or so talking with Art on and off on ham radio and listening late at night. Well now I am sure excited to hear Art coming back! I just feel sorry for those who will not be able to afford the sat radio subscription. I know for me I still have not told the old lady that I have to pay yet another subscription. But I still have till the 16th!!! I can afford it, but it's just I will have to justify it like anything else. However I know there are some folks who live month to month and just will not be able to subscribe. That's the crappy part of Art coming back.

From Art's facebook page.  Dr. Johanthan Reed (Alien in the freezer) posted this morning:

Oh, and just because today is the one year anniversary of my registration at BellGab.com, did you know Art Bell is coming back?

22 days 23 hours 32 minutes

I'm hoping Art avoids low-level frauds such as Reed, who have been thoroughly debunked in the years since their original interviews.

Maybe Art is bringing on Reed, Hoagie and a few others early to get into the grove to lay into them.  Listing to the old Art shows he has the knack to get in there with the questions and take them apart in a nice sort of way.  Age and wisdom allow a person to call someone a useless SOB in a manner that they think it is a compliment and they like it.  Art has that going for him which is why he is the Master and GNS!   ;D

Hoagland tries to control the interview - sNoory lets him do it.  Art fought hard to prevent it.  I'm looking forward to one battle between them, but after that, I'm not so interested in Hoagland.

The problem with hoagland is, most if not all his theories are running headlong into provable facts. Most con artists make statements that are open ended leaving room to wiggle or weasel out. Hoagland's only bastion of safety is a large group of non-thinkers that want to believe but avoid learning anything that takes more than a few seconds of reasoning.

And sadly, Art let him get away with it for a long time. To be candid, I wanted the face on mars to be the real deal. Even though rationally I knew it was not likely, it was fun to conjecture.

It wasn't until the last few, if not the last time hoagland was on with Art that he was really challenged. By that time I think Art had finally had enough of the tripe.

Noooo... that's Hoagland's magic. hahahaha  He wouldn't be nearly as entertaining without his ability to draw conclusions from unrelated facts. He reads tea leaves on a torsion level!

Anyone remember (going wayback) when he was sure his research had been getting on the nerves of Majestic 12? He'd somehow linked Majestic 12 to Old Navy/Gap. At the time they had the commercials with the dog named Magic, had a NASCAR with a # on it that was part of his conspiracies (19.5? hahaha) and a few other things in their ads and stores that convinced him that not only was Majestic 12 behind Old Navy/Gap, but that their international marketing campaign was also there to thumb their nose directly at Hoagland to tell him they were on to him, but he was powerless to stop them.

I'd love to hear that show again.

It'll be interesting to see how Art handles him now.  I found the mid-90's Hoagland interviews to be fun. I actually looked forward to listening, I'm embarrassed to admit  :-[ . I knew most of it was pure crap, but it was still entertaining to hear that the "Illuminati" were having meetings in Old Navy stores, but only the stores that had striped shirts for $19.50. But, like you said, eventually, it was just rehashed nonsense. This continued and worsened under Noory, until Hoagland turned Noory into his bitch every time he was on, essentially running the interview and being totally condescending to Noory, who rolled over and took it every time, never questioning him.

LOL, I think we posted about the Old Navy show at the same time.  It's probably one of my favorite C2C shows.

Here are a few more facebook posts by Art from late last night:

In response to this question:

QuoteArt, will you still have Open Lines? That has always been my favorite part of your show!

Art replies:

In fact when I do they will not be screened

Later, this post from a fan:

I think the two most fascinating people to call over the years were Mel and his hole,(lol) and John Teter. Always wondering about those two.

Art replies:

(I'm going to assume they're talking about John Titor)

Then, this question from a fan:

I was wondering about language. Sirius is like cable and the FCC doesn't cover them. Will you have to run a delay for the really vulgar callers???

Quote from: Art BellI will not allow bad language, that's just not part of what I do

See, that's the magic of Hoagland, and a lot of these other guests. You shut your brain off, and live in their fantasy for a couple of hours, and it's really good radio. Art had a way of helping that along. For the next 4 hours, everything you hear is true. But only for the next  4 hours. With Noory, they're just cranks with tired old stories.

Oh man I remember listening to that and being just flabbergasted with the ridiculousness. The guy could talk his way out of anything. However, with Art he is a far different guest IMO.

Art said he wants to start with familiar guests as a way to reintroduce himself to new listeners and to ease himself into the show. I am totally cool with that. Should be a fun ride.

Yes.

Art's interview was cool enough, I wish we had access to the entire thing though. The editor cannibalized it, and I bet we are only seeing at most 5% of what Art had to say, if even that.

He's looking good too. Clearly he has put himself together in anticipation of all of this.

Anyone else not to psyched about having to pay 15.00 bucks a month to listen to proven frauds such as Hoagland, Steiber, and Reed?  I am sure Dames and co aren't to far behind.  ???

These liars may have worked for Art back in the Mid to late 90's because the internet wasn't widely available to prove these guests as frauds but now a days it just doesn't cut it.

AC400KICK

I called the number posted on ArtBell.com, 855-REALUFO (855-732-5836) and some lady picked up. What is this number?

Renaldo

What did the lady say when you talked to her?

I'll be listening to the fists hour every night, and to the rest of the show if the guest is interesting.  Same as always.

We'll see, we can get a one month Satellite radio trial subscriptions free, after that it can be cancelled anytime.

I'm anticipating plenty of new interesting guests as Art gets comfortable with the show and it gets underway

I just tried it and some one picked up and I said hello and I heard a bunch of noises like they dropped the phone then they hung up.

Yeah, weird.

The internet was everywhere then. The mid to late 90's was when AOL was sending out discs everyday to everybody in the US. But I digress....

It sounds like you're saying you don't believe anything you hear on Art Bell, but you believe everything you read online.  Hope that works out for you.

hahahahahaha

If that's the new toll free # to call into the show.... that is calling his house.

I just tried the number again and got no answer when the other end picked up. I didn't say anything and there was silence on the other end for like 30 seconds with some sounds in the background then a male voice said "Bye" in a really creepy voice. What the hell is this?
