I believe Art Bell has finally succeeded in going back in time.  He looks younger than ever.

I don't get it. I went to the link but the video is of some other news article. I tried searching the site for anything from Art and nothing shows up. I want to see the video!

I like the way Art holds a pen just like a cigarette.  At first, I thought it was a cigarette.

I thought it was a smoke too, it wasn't? Did he quit?

I enjoyed the interview.  Knapp said he had upwards of 12 million listeners and I've seen people toss around 3 million (?) current listeners of c2c.  Art had 4X the listeners but Jorch Boring claims to have "grown" the show hehe.

Correct me if that 3M number is wrong.

Dave likes to do the new math, The Numbers Lady way, where you can just take a number and make up whatever story you like.

Thank you for the link to the interview. I am so pumped for Art's return!
And I was struck by the humility of George Knapp, who did not interject himself into the interview but kept to the darkened background.
The only downside was showing the creepy current C2C website with the poser's mug plastered all over it. The contrast between George Knapp. Art Bell and what C2C has become could not be more clear.
I've got the Sirius connection set up to finally hear decent radio once more.
September 16th!

Just saw the interview. Art looks and sounds great!
At first, I too thought he was holding a cigarette. Maybe it's one of those electronic smokeless cigarettes?
I kind of miss his bad boy mustache, though.

BTW, the interview is on the front page of Art's website, ArtBell.com

Ain't that the truth.  It's going to be so good to get the real thing once again rather than some shameless, self-serving poser.  And many thanks to Knapp.  He's a class act.  I listened to him last Sunday and he was calling out the stupid, shill mainstream media for making a big deal about Area 51 being "exposed," as if it was some big news and then mockingly reporting "ain't no flying saucers here with us chickens, folks!"  What a joke.  The Ministry of Truth sucks more than Dave and that's an accomplishment.  Good for George Knapp!!!

He looks healthy and sounds strong.  Can't wait until the 16th!  8)

That was a great piece, Knappy! Art looks strong and healthy. His voice sounds as great as ever. His family is so cute. And omg Rossy your fan trailer was featured!  8)

So freaking cool. Love it.

Art looks and sounds GREAT. Cannot wait for the new show.

I'm not sure if it was a real smoke or if it was one of those e-cigs, but it wasn't a pen.

i remember at least one attempt when ramona was still around, and i think another after airyn came along. i totally thought the pen was a smoke, too. i do remember him saying that he smokes a brand of long slender ultralights, and i think he also said they're associated with women. virginia slims?

vaguely related anecdote: when i got the art of talk from ebay, i ONLY read it in the garage while chain smoking. made my girlfriend do the same when she read it. i really wanted to be able to pull it off the shelf in a couple years and have it smell like art's  studio. now, i've been quit for 7 weeks, and the book just smells like a book.

Good catch, I thought it was a cigarette at first too, then decided it must be a pen.  Watching I again, I think it's one of these things.  Also, he's still wearing that golden necklace seen in other photos - I wonder if it has some meaning for him.

Pretty funny reading Art's book like that. Almost like only reading Naked Lunch while high on heroin or tennessee Williams while drinking absinthe. Congratulations on the seven weeks! Hardest thing in the world to quit. I've been smoke free since 11/11/11,after 28 years of sometimes 3 packs of filterless a day. I tried every method known to man for the previous 15 years and cold turkey ended up being the only way. How did you quit?

Yes, after listening to the interview Art seems sharp, and his voice was strong and firm.  Seems to be in better shape than Dave at this point. If the psyche is willing, the show will go on!
I thought he looked a little bit like Larry King, when King was in his prime. Only 3 more marriages to go to catch up to King as well.

The Art Bell interview is the top story on 8 News' website.

Was listening to an Art Bell show from April 8, 1999 and at the beginning he mentions that he has the "60th largest" website in the world. I assume he meant the "most-trafficked" but even considering that the internet was still pre-adolescent at that point, that's pretty incredible for one man running a radio show from his house.

Oh, and just because today is the one year anniversary of my registration at BellGab.com, did you know Art Bell is coming back?

I had a co worker who would ask me to check out the stories and pictures Art was talking about on his website in 1994. He did not have a computer and he knew I was online. Art would be telling his listeners to go to the website and many were unable to at that time (and they would be losing their minds not to see what Art was telling them to look at). It seems hard to believe now, but it was really revolutionary was Art was doing back then. Not many people had home-computers in the early 90's.

I came back from overseas in 1994 and got my first computer (not counting the Commodore 64 I had back in the early 80's) and CompuServe dial-up service served me well in viewing Art's site back then also :)

I am listening to Art Bell SIT from 1/99. The guest William Henry is a total wack-job.
Art is handling it of course. It is entertaining (after all, he IS the master).
I am deeply suspicous of the shows the premrats select for Saturday night SIT.
Arts so-so shows are still way better than anything else George gorks out any day so they can do whatever they want.

I love it when I am listening to SIT and I am not sure if it is a show I missed.
Then Art will say something I remember hearing the first time around it is very cool.
He just described the feeling you get when you hold gold in your hand, the power in the metal you detect.
I recall him saying that.
And he is talking about Sumerian's. He did not ask if they were earthlings.

Same here.  Both tuned in and somewhat suspicious of PremRat's intent.  Oh well, it's Art, so that's all that really counts.  Henry sounds like a pretty amateur phony.  He almost makes Hoagland sound intelligible.

I recall Art's discussion about gold, too.  Funny how that man's phraseology can stick in the recesses of your mind.  With Jorch, I want to do an immediate mind flush.  Yes, and Art wasn't wondering about the Sumerian 'hood.  ;D

I don't have the proper program to open the link but here's an audio file from a French site: http://ufologie.patrickgross.org/htm/reedf.htm Let me know if it works for you!

Icicle, I LOVED the burrito song!
It has been removed from all the sites it was previously on. I have been trying to find it myself with no luck.
By chance, I drove through the town the guy lived in years ago. The writer was from a small town--Tichigan Wisconsin. I was on a camping trip and realized I was in the guys home town (not stalking, it was just a coincidence).

When I was looking for the song I googled the writer and it looked like he was a respectable citizen involved in some library and artistic projects in his community. I suspect as he made his way to the mainstream he perhaps wanted to purge any connection with himself and the story. That is just what I think because everywhere you look, it says the song is no longer available. Too bad. I loved how Art would just say "burrito" real dead-pan in the chorus.

WOAH wait, does this mean he is going to be the first guest??? AWESOME.

SaucyRossy

According to Reddit the Ghost Investigation Society (which would make a great wrestling team name) has confirmed they will be on with Art in September.
http://www.reddit.com/r/artbellsdarkmatter/comments/1kmnxb/the_gis_ghost_investigators_society_is_probably_a/

So we have FOUR confirmed guests
Dr. Jonathan Reed (possibly the first guest?)
Richard C. Hoagland (confirmed by George Noory)
Ghost Investigation Society (some time in september, super creepy)
Graham Hancock (confirmed on Twitter he will be on in November)

Any one else find any guests saying they will be on with Art?

I think we can all guess that these people will be on
Michio Kaku
Whitley Streiber
Linda Moulton Howe
Jim Marrs (I hope he is)

EDIT: It's been pointed out else where that the GIS will be on.

Just listened to old interview with George lutz. Wow noory has never even came close to an interview like that!
