Does anyone have the picture a bell fan sent in on one of his shows of his image in a crop circle?  Would have been from 2001- 2002

... but I really do believe Premiere is up to no good.  Without naming names, there are so many new posters, with pro- or semi-pro Snoory slants, that it cannot be a coincidence.  Hell, even Dave does not believe in coincidences!

I noticed this as well.  An bunch of interns and (supposedly) Noory himself taking the time to do damage control

Here's a more depressing thought: it's not all that outrageous to see Miley Cyrus outselling Bob Dylan. "Why?", I hear the curious and logically-minded among you say....

All good points, as always, Sardondi.  Never the less, I'm retaliating with an attack of Spears and Smurfs.  Sorry, I didn't try to find any musical videos with Ewoks.  Try and get this one out of your head.  Buwhaaaaaaa!!!   ;D

I once heard this story about Dylan and Neil Diamond, who were doing some sort of
concert sendoff for The Band in San Francisco.  Diamond, having performed just before
Dylan, came off stage after his last song, looked Diamond in the face, and said something
to the effect of "Follow that!"

Dylan, no slouch, looked Diamond in the face and replied  "What do I have to do, go on
stage and fall asleep?"

ItsOver

Hahahaha.. ;D  I see a parallel here.

I once heard this story about Dylan Art and Neil DiamondNoory, who were doing some sort of
concert sendoff for The Band in San Francisco show hand-off.  Diamond Art, having performed just for years before Dylan Noory, came off stage after his last song when leaving the show, looked Diamond Noory in the face, and said something to the effect of "Follow that!"

Dylan Noory, no a complete slouch, looked Diamond Art in the face and replied  "What do I have to do, go on
stage the show and fall asleep?"

Unfortunately, Noory was being serious.

I think they are just saying Sirius Radio to mean similar music stations as they have, but they are all just free streaming radio stations probably.
Its not a way to get actual Sirius/XM stations for free, you have to subscribe to get them.

If you don't have a decent speed broadband internet, the only way to get Sirius/XM stations would be to buy a Sirius satellite radio with either a home or car kit that includes an antenna. You need the antenna to be mounted so it can see the southern sky.

Thank you Morgus. :)

I am not prone to wild theory (I know, and yet I listen to Art Bell, and even Coast to Coast at times), but I really do believe Premiere is up to no good.  Without naming names, there are so many new posters, with pro- or semi-pro Snoory slants, that it cannot be a coincidence.  Hell, even Dave does not believe in coincidences!

My guess is reputation dot kom

Surmo

I had to look up reputation dot com to get that one.  But I got it. I'm slow, but I learn.

Surmo

And nice twist to my story, ItsOver.  Wish that was a parallel universe, but I'm afraid we're stuck in the one with Dave at the helm of Coast-to-coast.

Surmo

But who cares now about Dave.  I am taking the advice of others, and concentrating on Sept 16th.

Keith has an interesting post on the Art site showing the orbits of the Sirius satellites.  To cover Canada, a couple of Sirius sats orbit to the north of the US.  Depending on where you are, and what view you have, you might want to be sure to get the newer Sirius/XM radio to be sure you can also access these satellites. It would appear that the XM ones are only at the equator.

Actually in all major cities sirius and XM have terrestrial repeaters to rebroadcast the signal. This is for if for instance you are driving in an area with lots of tall buildings. If there are buildings blocking the view of the sats you of course would lose the signal on your sat radio. So generally when you are anywhere near a major city such as Seattle, Toronto, LA etc. You are actually not receiving the sats signals at all. The radio actually defaults to the terrestrial signal. These terrestrial signals have similar coverage to those of any of the major FM broadcast stations for that city. Just thought I would point that out. Yes I too found the map Keith posted interesting. Just a lot of people are unaware of the terrestrial repeaters set up extensively throughout the US and Canada. (big dollars)

I meant to also add, That if your are in a metropolitan area in range of one of these terrestrial repeaters, you do not need a view of the sky at all. You could have your sat radio and antenna sitting inside your apartment or house and it would make no difference. Only difference I can think of is if the terrestrial repeater were to fail. Then you would have to rely on the sats.

George Knapp just tweeted that an interview he did with Art will air at tonight at 11 Las Vegas time on KLAS. I'm sure it'll be on the web too.

seriously looking forward to seeing this interview. then again, how much can be revealed? surely art will want to do most of that on the show.

Spinner

Does anyone have a link to the video of the interview?

wenck

So far there's just an article from what I can see. Nothing earth-shattering. http://www.8newsnow.com/story/23244111/i-team-art-bell-makes-his-return-to-the-airwaves

popple

That was a great piece, Knappy! Art looks strong and healthy. His voice sounds as great as ever. His family is so cute. And omg Rossy your fan trailer was featured!  8)

steve0suprem0

ah, beat me to it.
so, is that it? is there gonna be a version where they didn't basically just read the article? this reminds me of the time somebody got me a novelized copy of the bill cosby hit ghost dad.
whatever, i'm about to have the best month ever. finally getting my own place after way too long, seeing iron maiden (and megadeth and anthrax and testament) and then new art bell. i'm a pig in shit.

karios8

I enjoyed the interview.  Knapp said he had upwards of 12 million listeners and I've seen people toss around 3 million (?) current listeners of c2c.  Art had 4X the listeners but Jorch Boring claims to have "grown" the show hehe.

Correct me if that 3M number is wrong.

Well at least with the video we can see that he appears to be the same old Art!  The intellect is there, and the voice is there.

Surmo

Yes, after listening to the interview Art seems sharp, and his voice was strong and firm.  Seems to be in better shape than Dave at this point. If the psyche is willing, the show will go on!

Juan

I like the way Art holds a pen just like a cigarette.  At first, I thought it was a cigarette.

indigoo

Art looks damn good for 68. Great interview. So fucking pumped for night one!

Here's the video: http://www.8newsnow.com/category/28259/8-news-now-video

I don't get it. I went to the link but the video is of some other news article. I tried searching the site for anything from Art and nothing shows up. I want to see the video!
