I actually had considered that for quite some time before I started posting about this stuff the first time around. I can't see a program director getting fired because someone said he talked about the Art Bell show. As was proved earlier in this thread, it's pretty much impossible to prove what I am saying is true, so firing someone over iut would be a little much. Maybe if I were recording them or something, but I think people are safe from hearsay.

I was calling large market stations in the Pacific time zone since they are the only ones still open. Lots of folks told me to call back tomorrow at 9am tomorrow from other stations, but this girl clearly didn't care if she wasn't supposed to say anything or not.

Maybe it does have something to do with that Cumulus investor/quarterly earnings report tomorrow morning at 11 AM EDT.

Took a look at the scheduling for the last few cumulus conference calls, just for shits and giggles.

The investor call tomorrow was announced mid-May, so anything happening related to Art after that time couldn't have influenced it.  Further, it looks like the Q1 call was scheduled to be about a month after the quarter ended (call was end of April), so the interval of tomorrow's call seems standard practice. (Note that the Q4 2012 call had an extra month delay, likely because it was also a year end summary.)

None of this precludes, of course, the idea that the timing of Art's announcement is based on the already scheduled call tomorrow.  Time prevents A causing B, but B can still cause A.

And if you find yourself in need of a sedative, read the above three times with a glass of warm milk.

Also who says that the progress bar will finish at 100%. Art always gives 110%. Dave Noorie's progress bar would have finished days ago.
