I think Noory said some things that we didn't like to hear. Like Art didn't do as much challenging as we discuss. That c2c is still considered successful.

I think this a poor environment to have a conversation, similar to having a talk in Thunderdome.

I think some of the questions asked were more than appropriate and weren't answered. I think some of the questions weren't appropriate and would have made anyone less than interested in answering.

I am not defending the guy, But if there were any "neutral" viewers... He came out better looking than we did.

As I recall hes giving pretty much the same pat answers to detractors here as he has given out over the air, throughout many years he has ran Coast.

No one would ever say anything bad about/to Jeorgy on a internet thread titled "George Norry Sucks!- TDC". What could go wrong? Jorge may not be so bright, but he works for some bright people.

I ask myself why he cares so much now? His "facts" are 9 out of 10 people like C2C, that is 90% approval rating, hell Rush would have given up Oxy for those ratings. God gave up Jesus for WAY smaller approval ratings. Where did those stats come from? Did he survey his subordinates? Did they hire the same group that did polling for Romney? Listing to Dave's "facts" sounds much like listing to most of his guests "facts". Sources please.

Just give him a chance let him sell you er... tell you how great he and his show is, and how much better he will make it in the future, with our help. Hes a nice guy, a truth seeker who would never sell you some phony product or line of BS.

If the man wants to try and do a better job, more power to him. 1000 pages stand as a testament that he can use to find reoccurring themes across many users over many years. He and his coworkers could use said data to decide what will make for a better C2C, without him or his staff ever making a post to ArtGab. That might be hard work though. Damn, I reckon not all answers can be found on 3x5 index card or in a 15 second sound bite.

Dave interacting on ArtGab and using it's members direct feedback as a way to further improve C2C may not really be his main goal, but that is just what I think... could be wrong.

I like how noory refuses to admit he can improve on anything specific.
He is very broad, just I can improve. When he does answer specific charges, it's always well art does it the same way.

No art didn't screen calls pre-premier. Art also "challenged" guest. Sure he'd let the listener make the choice what to believe. But if a guest was contradicting themselves he'd point that out. Instead noory just goes along with whatever the outrageous claim is in the face if contradictions. In addition art manned up a few times and told a guest stone cold outright he didn't believe a word they were saying.

Art always kept people on track, even if he did come across as a prick sometimes. That's what it takes occasionally.

He showed up there, tried to play nice guy and quail the criticism.
When that didn't go as planned he threatened legal action.
At that point the boards got "cleaned up" and you could only say nice things about boy Jorgee, or you got wished into the cornfield.

Really bitch slapped. I got that he implied its ok he shouldn't really "press" a guest if they contradict or make baseless outrageous claims. Due to allowing the listener to make the decision on truth.
So a guest can contradict themselves make fact-less claims and it's cool.

He also sees no problem in guest make dangerous medical claimss because he does not directly endorse them.

He also thinks sense it's ok to interview a guy claiming to have an alien in his freezer or building a time machine  the same way as  a guest giving dangerous medical advice and  people claiming veterans are on watch list. No Dave that's just fucking unresponsible.

My pleasure. Some of us are not in awe of a small time celebrity desperately clinging to the final run of his show. Some of us think for ourselves and are not swayed by what is obviously a lame attempt to disrupt the fact that he still sucks. What can I say, Art ruined me:) I am getting Sirius, I am caving:)

Right.  I think for a lot of people, they don't want to be overly receptive because if it is disingenuous on "Gnoory's" part, they don't want to feel like they've been duped.  I think people want to be cautiously optimistic, but still definitely question the timing, the motive, and the sincerity based upon past history with George.

I don’t know why anyone would be harsh with dave or question his motives for coming to a fan site for advice on to host the show he has already hosted for tens years.  Hell, just last month I was on a fan forum site for F1 and Sebastian Vettel popped in to ask how to win in Germany and after that I wasn't surprised when Lewis Hamilton popped to ask for help in Hungary.  Seems completely natural for professionals to come to us, the fans, for help.  Now that I think about it, I was at the Torrey Pines golf course watching the Open and who should ask me about long irons?  Tiger.  I mean, how else could they improve?

Wow, I feel no slap, bitch or otherwise.  Yesterday's Prem minions were vulgar but NBD.  While I have brought up the things that irritated me, this blog has really brought out some new thoughts. 

George implies that these quacks are sound because 1) people respect him and his opinion which tells people in difficult situation that, when you are dying, anything is possible.  Thank you all for bringing this to my attention.  This is what I would call "immoral behavior."  And, there are plenty of guests out there that do not advocate medical treatments so why go there?  George, consider your position and behave.

Oh well, it doesn't matter anyway.  Art is coming back.  And, no George, Art asked the guy re the bigfoot in the freezer for evidence.  I remember that entire story.  Art actually remarked that my Rods guy may have been smoking pot.

George's show may get good ratings, but I'd guess the ratings are closer to 'ok for overnight' or 'good enough'.  Haven't there been repots of some pretty large stations dropping the show lately?

I doubt George's email is 9 out of 10 positive.  I'd guess many of the listeners either don't like George that much, or prefer Art Bell, and George knows it.  And he knows this is the place where people come to commiserate or lurk.

So many people here no longer even listen to the show.  Many of the rest won't be when Art's new show starts up.  This thread will have considerably less activity when few are listening.  George knows all this.  He wants people to continue to listen, even the 'haters'.

The reason he came here is for damage control and to try to peel off and keep as many listeners as he can, whether they be posters or lurkers, pure and simple. He's fighting to hold on to what he has. 

If George comes here - regardless of the reason - it is a great opportunity to ask a few question and tell him our complaints directly.  If he answers some questions or (shock) takes steps to improve, great - although I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.  I don't think berating him in response to his posts is useful, he'll just disappear.

Unless he were to get a lot better real fast (which I doubt he really wants to, or even could), after Sept 16 it won't much matter what he's doing.

That's pretty much already the case for me, P*B.  Jorch and the C2C train wreck became a big joke for me long ago.  It's worthy of nothing more than a few laughs, such as what we get with your excellent eye pad "Jorch and Tommy" cartoons.  Thanks again for helping all of us retain our sanity and providing some much needed comic relief from the C2C abomination.  The countdown clock is ticking ever closer to Art's launch.
