Now we know what Noory was hinting about weeks ago regarding a big announcement coming.
He was getting ready to harp about his new extended long, long, long term lifetime contract. :o

I really had not considered myself to be worthy of living in hell; but it is a plausible explanation.

Do you have an estimate on the cost to get a cockroach to Mars? I will start saving to send George on that long, interplanetary vacation.

I think it costs about 100 million to get a heavy lift rocket into space, which I believe you would need even if the payload was a cockroach (I could be wrong on that).  Start saving.

That figures.  We should know by now that if George feels engaged with something it's usually his ego.

I have what I consider to be proof that Noory died two years ago- it is not surprising that George and the rat signed a long term contract.  Tommy has just been pressing buttons on the board using recorded clips of George performing his standard questions and comments from the 3X5 cue cards for the last couple of years.  It has been commented on that George and Tommy are always seen together and that George never goes anywhere without his producer... Ever see A Weekend At Burnies???  Take a look at that video of George and Tommy in the back seat of the convertible during the parade and tell me if you cannot picture Tommy pulling a string to make his hand jump awkwardly.

How are Youuu?
It ahs been a long time since we have spoken.
How did you get into this thing?
Faxcinating.
Where can we bi your book?
Hahaha.  What have you been up to?
Letsh take a caller.

And on it goes with Tommy hitting a random button any time he hears silence on the other end of the line.

LOL, that's funny - I had the Weekend at Bernie's theory a while back too...

It's obviously been stated, but I just can't help myself... How in the Hell did this guy get a new contract?  He is the definition of incompetence.  In the good old days it was only government workers who got and kept jobs they could not handle, it's not supposed to happen in the private sector!

Obviously nobody at Premiere gives a crap.

I'm glad I bagged on C2C a while ago.

Roy Hinkley

I have tried to listen once in a while if the guest sounds interesting, but lately its been impossible.  The guests they've been dredging up are just so out there I can't even listen.  With all the new age crap and the other wackos I don't know who he thinks his audience is any more.

Maybe Jorch thought he wasn't getting extended, so he was purposely trying to torpedo the show for the next host.  No, he's not that smart...

I think Paper*Boy "get's it," concerning Jorch and PremRat, with his last post.  PremRat is a shining star of the corporate Peter Principle at it's finest.  Jorch is just the kind of toadie Ted Baxter poster boy they love.  Somebody such as Art would be viewed as a nonconformist troublemaker within the PremRat regime.  Mediocrity, incompetence, and general all-round suckage reign supreme within the soulless matrix of PremRat.  Paying homage to your superiors is all encompassing.  Competence, originality, and talent have no place within such a rigid and self-serving structure.

I don't think PRN would sign a locked-in long term contract with Noory.  They'd certainly write-in clauses to fire him for cause, e.g. drop in ratings, sponsor complaints, loss of C2C affiliates, personal conduct reflecting negatively.  Their only motivation for keeping him around is that he is probably ridiculously cheap. They announce multi-year deals as PR; what would it say if they signed only for a year at a time? That's why I thinks Wells is going to get the weeknight shows; they already have the rating decline in their back pocket and can drop George at will.

That's my guess too.  Maybe it's something along the lines of you can be host of the show until we cancel it.

PremRad has probably decided Noory is the show.  After all, George has fostered a unique fan base that would be alienated by any competent host with programs about topics other than alternative nutrition and new age spirituality.  When either Noory or Coast meets its end, the other goes with it, or they replace it with some selection from Hay House radio.

I'd go with that.  ;D   I doubt Noory's any better at selecting attorney's to review his contract than he is as a host of C2C.

"That's totally inappropriate. It's lewd, lascivious, salacious, outrageous!"

If only George had the dumb luck of Kramer.  Kramer always won in his own way.  Then again I guess George got his way too.

Yeah, like free coffee.  I love watching Jackie's reaction when Kramer tells him "he's settled the case."  ;D   What a great character actor.

I disagree.  Noory's post-'08 Election heavy use of fringe rightwing guests in the 1st hour, and embrace of Alex Jones as a regular indicate to me that the his New Age Lite audience was declining so PNR pushed him into ideological material that would snag the Tea Partiers at least until their Ambien kicks in.  Noory, like so many in entertainment, is all ego and has no ideology beyond self-promotion.

I doubt I even need a space that big. i find it fascinating that no one has replied to even give one good thing.

My understanding is Julie Talbott is also President of the Peter Principle in Broadcasting Society, and has been the annual recipient of their Shining Example award for the past 10 years.

I didn't know what the "Peter Principle" was... thanks for giving me some amusing evening reading.
