Has anyone ever seen or heard George acknowledge that he has a huge base of people that hate him and what he's done to Coast to Coast? I really hope he is aware of it. I need him to know how badly he sucks.
Noory has hinted about that and referred to his 'haters' several times with some guests on the air.
He has said he believes them to be a small group of haters that still live in their parent's basement...

Noory is getting phone problems again with a guest tonight, that usually leads to Noory dumping the guest early.
I wouldn't put it past him to have his staff create these phone clicks if he wants an excuse to dump a guest...

He mentioned "the haters and losers". He obviously didn't refer to them as a huge number of people. He marginalized them as if they were on the fringes of acceptable society since one would have to be out of the mainstream to have any problems with him. That's likely how he rationalized it.

Yes, and I believe he said they "need to get a life".  I rather like that, because that means it irritates him.  Someone as insecure as Noory, is driven crazy because of sites like this that point out the truth of his astronomical suckiness.

Yes, surrounded by all his "yes-men" suck-up staff, Georgie is insulated enough and surrounded by enough back-slapping that he could never think there is a huge segment of the population that cannot stand how much he has ruined and dumb-downed a once great radio program.

OMG, what a yawn fest this is.
Roy, this is an honest and polite question. Why do you still listen to the show? I take it that you're not doing it for penance. ;)  I no longer listen to Noory. I enjoy lurking and posting here, though. I leave it to you masochists to tune in for me, so that I can read your summaries of the unfolding disaster. They remind me that many of us made the right choice when we resolved to kick the habit. I admire your bravery, but I fear for your sanity.

LOL, no problem... I basically just have it on as background noise as I'm doing emails and other catch-up work.  I rarely subject myself to an entire show as you're right, my sanity may be at risk :)   I used to have fun on GLP, it was very interactive and a great group of people.  I had "quit" for a long time and only listened to the occasional good guest, or the good part time hosts.  I tried listening to Noory again, and quickly went, "this guy still hasn't been canned yet?"  Then I searched to see if any site was still lampooning this guy and stumbled on coastgab.com.  Guess that's it in a nutshell.  Just good validation from other people that it's not my imagination, Georgie really does suck this bad - it's sort of like having to watch the train wreck...

You likely nailed it. He's in a cocoon and/or an echo chamber. Add the (paid?) screened callers, who always praise him, to the mix. Seldom is heard a discouraging word, and his skies are not cloudy all day. They pamper and protect his ego. Criticisms, let alone insults, never make it on the air. If you condemn any aspect of his hosting, you're called a hater. Justin Bieber's fan girls seem to have the same mindset.

I did that for a while too. I also tried to listen around Noory, but that proved impossible when he made it all about him. Now, I sometimes use Punnett's shows and Wells' shows as background chatter when I have the house to myself. Hey, I remember that GLP thread! What happened to it? Did Noory and his minions pressure the site owners into "disappearing" it and other threads? Some stuff crossed the line, but much of it was the best party on the web. All good things come to an end, but that thread's death was premature.

Yes, the entire GLP Noory Sucks thread was pulled.  I'm not sure of all the politics behind it, but there was at least one individual who kept crossing the line.  They were warned several times apparently to reign it in, and they pushed it one too many times and the whole thread got pulled.  There was some great material on there that is apparently lost forever.  Not sure if there was external pressure on the pulling of it or not, but that is one of the rumors.  I'm glad we have coastgab now in order for people to commiserate with one another on "The Host Who Should Not be Host"....

That person sounds like a mole or a plant. It's as if a fan infiltrated the thread. It's a shame that one person ruined it for the rest of the people. That happens a lot in offline life too. Punish the many for the actions of the few or the one. The person must have really crossed the line. Coast Gab's moderation is reasonable. Other forums' rules are so stifling and suffocating that they scare off members.

Yes, I'm so in tune with my body I can actually feel the high tides and low tides in my body caused by the moon and Planet X.   :P  Whoops, there it goes again - almost lost my balance.

Yeah, it would not be beyond belief that Georgie or Tommie would post enough bad content and then complain or threaten GLP to pull it or get sued.  I think most people realize now that as long as you're posting opinion or satire, there is nothing wrong with that.  Georgie may not like it, but it's not illegal.  I personally think some of the descriptions of Georgie and Tommie engaging in adult nocturnal activities together are a bit over the top, but hey, it's a free country.  I just don't want to have those images even remotely trying to pop into my head near meal times.  George has no one to blame but himself for the existence of sites like this.  It is his suckiness after all that creates the need, it is merely our job to make the most of it, and document it for future generations who will not get the truth from Georgie's often edited Wikipedia entry.

You must have never received an email from George.  His writing is more incoherent than his speech - lacking punctuation other than ellipses (I guess he'd say ellipsises) and lacking capitalization.  If George were posting, it would be obvious.  Now Tommy? I suspect he's too busy sucking up to George, skimming end papers of the book, and writing out the cards.

In other words, if the Coast family were doing the posting, they made an intern do it.

I once believed that after a decent c2c weekend (Schader did good and I liked Knapp's Bob Miller segment, but If I hear him mention that Melba Ketchum person again I'm gonna scream) that George would take notice and attempt to put a little effort into it.  Silly me. Mondays seem to be George's tastiest crap sandwhich fest. Chris Putnam on the Vatican and aliens and false gods and that "lucifer" telescope we all know and love.  A very animated, and almost dumped, Marshall Masters on Planet X because it's been about three days since the last Planet X show and evidently the words "we just did a show on that" are never heard at c2c staff meetings.  Ever.

Snoorge never would have even understood Mad or SNL as a young "man", even now as and adult.   It takes a certain amount of intelligence to understand wit, satire, and good comedy in general.

Remember when families used to have a family member who went mad and they locked them in the attic or the cellar and waited for them to die ?

Well, I have it on good authority that Alfred E. Neuman tried to lock his mad cousing Snoorge away but being Alfred, he didn't do it right and that's how we got subjected to Snoory.

Even Alfred is embarassed and keeps muttering things like :

" What Me Portal ? "

" Pizza Rolls, where do they roll ? "

" Snoory is even dumber than I...uh, me...uh, anyone ? "

" What him suck ? "

and

" Angels ? What angels ? Angel food ? Angel fish ? Angler fish ? "

Alfred got so confused after listening to Snoory that he began to make sense.

Just about every Snoory show comes from a planet too.

I wonder if Jorch even listens to C2C when there's another host.  He doesn't seem to be listening when he's the host.

I've come to the conclusion that people should stop bitching about George (even though I will continue to do so)

It is like hitting yourself in the hand with a claw hammer and then bitching how it hurts. You know how bad it was before you wasted your time doing it. Why would this time be ANY different?

It's not really bitching, it's pointing out facts.  It appears for most of Coastgab, it's simply fun to make fun of sNoory.

Would YOU listen to Snoory if YOU were Snoory ?

Actually, I suspect that he does listen to tapes or podcasts or whatever of his own shows. He probably thinks every dulcet word is golden when it really is crap. The man is so full of himself that he cannot see how many flubs he makes nor that he is truly a bad broadcaster.

Rush talks about his shows going into a vault for posterity. But in part, he's joking.

Snoory probably thinks HIS shows are a national treasure and should be kept in the Library of Congress for all to hear.

How'd you like to be blind and the first audio book you get is a collection of Snoory shows ?

Ewwwww.

There is very little difference between Jorch's idea of what his haters, and what his fans are. Basically they're both losers, but the "haters" call him out. Remember, he thinks people who listen to his show are lonely without friends or family. Probably shut-ins.

I was just thinking if I was George and I came to this site and saw what people had written about me, I would be fucking devastated. From the artwork and the doctored photos to the tome of insults on here- how the fuck would you recover from that?
Don't me wrong, I don't feel sorry for him; as I said before I need him to know he sucks. I guess in a way this site is a good thing...maybe he will listen to some of the complaints about him and change a lil somethin' somethin' here and there. This motherfucker cannot be THIS oblivious.

This is one of the many things that annoys me and the reason why I haven't listened to the show for about three years now.  He is completely oblivious as to how horrible his show is and then arrogantly claims that he knows what a good show is!

The show itself has the potential to be a Ferrari that can take you for a fun ride, but Noory treats it like a rusty lawn mower.
