Random stupid things on your mind. Post them.

Now see! I interpreted that as a new type of bagel. Instead of a female aspect I had pictures of a "cucumberesque" bagel. Luckily, I did a search and much to my surprise nothing to do with cream cheese. Well I hope not, anyway.

And to show just how deeply into British tv culture I am, I read that as a Cumberbatchesque bagel. Visions of deerstalker shaped bagels, flaps down, raced through my mind until I re-read and realized my mistake. But I think that if there are to be man buns, then it is high time for cucumberesque bagels, with or without raisin and walnut cream cheese.

I'm just randomly wondering whether any Bell Gabblings are weird enough to attend this year's Symbiosis Gathering?

No Jerry Lewis Marathon on Labor Day Weekend is discombobulating.

Boredom is a crime against reality.

I'll try to remember that the next time I'm at the DMV.

I went out for a walk just before sunrise yesterday.  As the sun was rising I looked up into the sky (I have a habit of checking for birds).  I saw what is to me a UFO.  I will not report it because these things just get boring after a while.  It was different in that it was a dull matt black, reflecting no light at all.  It looked like an ink blot moving through the sky, but it was also changing shape, like a giant lozenge that was slowly spinning.  At one time it was a cigar shape and then spun slowly, so it was an oval and then a complete circle, back to the oval and then a cigar shape again.  It was going in a straight line, so it was not some wind buffeting a black balloon.  Yes, it was silent.  Against the night sky it would have been impossible to spot. Dawn was just breaking. No, no time was missing.

Could it have been a portal?  Or flown by angels?

Yeah, no, 2-CE is not The Stuff. The article's comparing this substance to MDMA and LSD is like comparing making love with your beloved under a full lunar eclipse with shooting stars to watching bronyporn alone with pizza rolls and a generator in a trailer park.

Your descriptions are so much better than Erowid or Wikipedia with regard to these subjects.

Stephen Colbert is doing a worse version of Conan O'Brien. This is kind of uncomfortable to watch.

His debut guests are people that should be on the tuesday episode in week 7. CBS has been in third place in late night for years, it will remain that way.

I haven't even cracked a smile. Opening the show singing the national anthem with random people? What?

That's possible?

I always enjoyed Late Night with him. He hasn't been the same since the Tonight Show fiasco.

CBS hired a guy who has been "in character" for a decade. It's like hiring Ali G and being disappointed that Sacha Baron Cohen showed up.

Exactly. I don't know what I'm watching - is it Colbert Report Stephen or the "real" Stephen Colbert? It's just awkward to watch, whatever this is.

I remember him pre-Colbert Report being on Colin Quinn's "Tough Crowd" a few times and he was timid and mismatched. Another comic who clearly lives and dies by the material written for him by others.
