Very nice, Chine. You know what else today is?? Why it`s National Hand Holding Day!

And, I sure would..you know..hold your hand or something..if you were so..inclined to allow it.   8)

Who comes up with these 'national or international days'?  That's very sweet of you. Mr Chine may get a wee jealous. We are celebrating national root beer float day today even though it was officially last Thursday.

Hoping we don't get any rain today. Every Sunday evening before the sun sets, we have a drum circle on one of our beaches here. It's amazing. Hundreds show up, many various drummers and dancers. Once the sun sets, the colored lights on hoola hoops light up the sand. The energy is incredible. We're also on a beach made up of Rose Quartz, Amethyst, Tiger's Eye... A very special place which is incredibly charged and healing.

Is there a follow up shot where dude has been reduced to a large, red spot?  I don't need to see it.  Just asking.

It only counts if there's one sock covered foot sticking out of the chipper.  ;)

You would love it, Aldous! It is truly incredible. Even if it's about to storm and rain, it's even more electric! Watching the storms roll in and the drumming gets louder and faster. Ahhhh

I may ask Mr Chine for a nice drum for my birthday. We sell some beautiful ones where I work, as well as flutes, Crystal and Tibetan singing bowls.  and other mystical instrumentation.

Aldous, a part of me misses the southwest and my tribe in Vegas at times. I loved your photos you shared. Jerome, AZ has been on my mind a lot as well.

...Tibetan singing bowls

I once received one of these in a misbegotten gift exchange.  Not being inclined that way, it's now an ashtray, and the little stick muddles my mint.

Ha.  Hey, if it works, why not? I have a little cauldron and my husband would leave tootsie rolls and other candies in it.

I don't mean to come across all SNAG-y, but I've experienced an almost comical increase in synchronicities over the last few weeks. The latest one involved two mentions of glowing lights on hula hoops barely ten minutes apart. I understand it's "just" my pattern-seeking brain trying to keep me amused, but I wouldn't be an Art Bell fan if I didn't at least wonder.

Always. The learned gentleman will note my above reference to my brain trying to keep me amused.  ;)

HULA hoop. Ugh, that's it. Couldn't spell it and my autocorrect kept wanting to turn it to Hookah Hoop.

...

It's also National Book Day.

I only know it from the brand of crisps/chips. I can't be arsed uploading a pic just to attach it.

Are we doing past sending a kid to bed without dinner as an acceptable form of behavior modification?  Just wondering.

Depends on what's for dinner. If it's liver and onions, that would might considered a gift.

Yeah I'm saying it's most likely the Hula-Hoop gods beseeching you to their cult of the physicality of endless circular wisdom and junk. Seriously, my adopted grandaughter showed up to my home today with her little pink hula hoop so...

Still, as Onan can attest, I am a follower of the Hokie Pokie way cuz that's what it's all about!

I fear no alkaloid!
take, a bit, of care. Some, many, of the "ines" can do you harm, especially in larger doses but even small ones. Others, not so much or can help. Just because it is "natural" or made by modern chemical understanding doesn't mean it is good. Haha. Then again, maybe progressive dosing of such stuff can help deter your enemies from poisoning one by same? Reason the so-called various windows had "Strychnine" in it?

I heard that a person can drown in six inches of water. Fortunately, no one here has a drinking problem.

He survived Manson gals clap in 1968-69, and Charlie's wrath in August, 1969. But a lil' bit of water right after Christmas '83 got him.

*Manson Murders were a brilliant, diversionary mob hit.
