Yeah it makes me believe she really stepped in to keep the show going because there was no-one else.
She did at one point say it was her dream. But wow just wow. Public humiliation from someone within the network.
And I am confused she had a significant audience but hey she isn't our first choice. Why would  you say this publicly?

Keith needs to stop lying about OSOM producing great variety of shows

It certainly sucks now that the stream is garbage, but i actually enjoyed some of the shows he brought on and loved DM this summer and fall.  Of course now those small shows are exposing the network for what they are; Keith and whoever had a chance to suck it in and be a provider of content and let it grow which it WAS - and personal issues get in the way.  This "genre" of radio/paranormal whatever breeds such contempt

Fuuuccckkk is this true? If you are Heather do you say fuck it all and leave. Wow that is cold. Apparently Hughes was smart enough not to get involved.

Yup, it's both true, and cold...truly cold.

It's one thing to keep your listeners/subscribers updated...it's another to post an entry out of your personal diary.  Clearly Keith hasn't learned to write a draft, sleep on it, and look at it again the next day to see if anything unprofessional slipped into the language while writing stream-of-consciousness oversharing material.

Also, what's with this new "'Mr. Evil' Keith Roland" rubbish?  Yikes.  Monikers are bestowed, not commandeered, Keith.

Anyway, Howard's awesome - a real fan of the medium and a super sweet guy, hosting a good professional show revolving around the paranormal, completely for free, and with no commercials.  My guess: he was put off my Roland's snarky bullshit and decided to keep clear of any network drama to continue blithely enjoying himself on his own terms.  Good for him.

And she has been doing a damn fine job of it while under tremendous pressure and difficult circumstances. She can be on my team anytime. She has shown herself to be a real team player. She quit her job to be a producer. Not to be a fucking goalie for everybody throwing darts at Art.

Hughes is great. Good for him knowing better. I truly feel bad for her.

Well you must admit we all have at least one screw loose to listen to this whacked out shit, and to try and make a living out of it must really take some loose hardware.

eh..i get what your saying ..and she has been getting better..but in the end..both those were her choices..to quit a job..to fill in for Art...for that one has to have thicker skin ..though some things have been over the top

Yes, I remember that.  Don't doubt it, either, since, to judge by her knowledge of Art Bell minutiae, she cares way more about it than anyone else.  Perhaps she envisioned taking over when he retired in a few years.  But she can't have wanted it like this.

Perhaps as producer she was the one trying to recruit HH -- no idea how that works in that business.  If so, Keith's statement would hardly shock her.

It's an awkward statement that professional PR would have quashed, but that awkwardness makes me believe we're seeing behind the scenes.

Oh yes I will certainly admit that.  But it was fun.  I knew it wouldn't last though that's why i never got too upset

She quit her job to do a job.  Then she basically got, at the most, 24 hours notice to make a choice. Shut it down or try hosting. WTF did you expect her to do?  IMHO she has been getting better with each show. She will never be Art Bell. She pisses me off when she talks about man made global warming. She pisses me off when she disses Trump.  But you know what?  She is still better than C2C. I wasn't going to listen tonight because I've never seen the X-Files. That doesn't mean I don't want her to succeed.

Hoagland's Summer Dress Radio Girl episode was the highlight of my summer, if that gives you any indication how the rest of my summer went.

True, true. But still from the get-go it seemed like there was no plan, no business model just flying by the seat of their pants. Which is fine for some kid doing a webcast but for adults trying to run a business or make a career? I think Heather is getting better with each show. Sure, she aint Art. Nobody is but she is getting better as shows progress. Already better than Norry and he has a whole corporation behind him at at it for 13+ years. I know a low bar. I hope it works out. Social media is stupid unless they have a person, sober who thinks first about posts. Otherwise it just hurts companies, politicians, people, etc. Don't air dirty launder and messages should be positive or none at all. It is bizarre, frankly, way to run a business or "network." Best to Heather regardless. Not my first choice but at least she took up the challenge and is working to get better.

Like I said, you really need to do something about that   ;)

At this point, she would be better served dumping Keith and this disaster of a network and starting from scratch.

I am available for PR. Aw hell, haven't they seen Fight Club? You do not talk about private business publicly.

Except when you blab about the publication of your book and who's producing it to anyone who will listen.

Yeah I agree.  You could, if you were cynical, read it as Keith's effort to blunt criticism but I don't think he's that Machiavellian.

This whole episode -- from Art's stalker on -- has the messy ring of truth to it, not the polished sheen of lies.

What a slap in the face. Wow.

Getting involved with Art, Keith, and Hoagland, what do people expect?  Not that they mean anything by it, it's just that none of them give a shit about anyone else.
