I really feel sorry for all those who have worked tirelessly for Art Bell. I wonder if he ever really considers their lives and how much they have given. All were hoping for a future, their big break but sadly it comes to nothing. Wonder if he really cares, somehow I doubt it. BTW I will eat my words if this is just a ruse to catch the jerk but somehow I doubt that will be the case.

probably..yes...from the facts we have been given from Art..what sort of description can one go on..everything about said..stalker/terrorist/whack a doodle has been in the dark....shots fire from car..nothing really seen...guy outside the window..Art was blinded by the lights..guy creeping next to the house..Art couldn't see him well enough..and the last thing..Shot/firecracker(his words) came from some where in BLM..so how can you continue on when you have literally..no real clue who/what this...person is

Is the network self sufficient to pay for carrying the other shows alone and will Keith Rowland be interested in keeping it going without Art?

Agreed.  If it was my daughter scared out of her mind like he said, I would do whatever I could to at least try and put a stop to it.  I'm actually surprised he didn't go on an indefinite hiatus after the first incident.  I also don't think that this is bogus, because this is the most difficult and extreme response to the situation.  Lots of other things could have been tried before this (hiatus, getting a ret-a-cop temporarily, etc.).  The amount of work that is going to have to be done to dismantle the show is a nightmare, and I don't think that he would sign up for that if it wasn't somehow deemed absolutely necessary.

I agree.  Someone posted on Art's Facebook page that they could find no police reports on any of this.  Maybe the ratings were not so good.  I do believe there were difficulties with booking decent guests.  I was surprised at the quality of a good portion of the guests for the shows.  There were some rumors, I believe, that potential guests had been threatened that if they appeared on MITD then they would not be invited to be a guest again on "that other old show."  I don't know how much truth there is to this rumor.  Maybe it was a combination of things.  Even so, I will miss Art a lot.
