How many times has Daddy I mean Art quit 'for good'? He did in 1998,2000,2002,2007,2013 (not quite though) and now 2015. I think once things settle down he will realize he wants to do a show again.

I doubt the Prophet Mohamed, peace be upon him, mentioned anything about Paranormal radio shows in the Koran.
So if he stops doing shows, they'll I'll have no more reason to shoot up his compound.

I first heard Art Bell in 2005, between retirement #3 and #4. I was 19. Art returned as a weekend host of Coast to Coast for a while starting in 2005 (I think). (This was over a year after I'd first heard Coast to Coast AM during a night of insomnia.)

I really loved those Art Bell shows (as well as the Ian Punnett shows later). I became a fan of Art Bell for life.

What makes anyone think the issue is the content of MITD?  I think it's likelier that somebody thinks the use of Art's physical facility is interfering with his TV, making his dental work hurt, causing voices in his head, or making his garage door open.

You took the words right out of my mouth!  He's such a goddamn dirtbag.  There are a few of them that need to be banned with their childish and nauseating gibberish.

I do not take the view that Art quits spontaneously.  It can take a long time to get everything out of him but he ends up answering all the questions about why he did it.  And once he does it all makes sense.  He complained about this psycho around his property on the air more than once and I don't know what you were hearing but while trying to carry on he sounded overwhelmed to me.  If the show is taking him away from his family physically and even more so mentally, for hours and hours, it is going to change the last 12 years of his life dramatically.

He may have been feeling the distance and at his age it may have been getting to him even more than it does to a younger man who has to be gone from his family for work often.  It likely interfered with who knows just how many things!  But he was marching on as far as I'm concerned and even saying numerous times how much he loved radio.

The straw that broke the camel's back was the dickless stalking fucker!  He can't do a show because they are scared so he needs to be as close by to his family as he can to protect them and himself!  He can't even be mentally distracted for lack of being sharp and on his toes.

I am only in agreement with one single thought coming out of a group of mostly fucked up bitches, and that thought is why just give ALL OF IT up?  Not being in his shoes I can only guess that's what one might do when they're pissing their pants every night!  It's called being human.  I think if things can get resolved he WILL BE BACK!

I see Art in two lights, he's a good broadcaster, but he's also a piece of shit as far as this quitting stuff. He's too afraid to just say that he needs a break and/or wants to quit. He seems like he's pretty honest when he broadcasts, but crazy shit like the past two exits make you wonder...
