I wonder why I like all of you.    I also wonder why none of you intelligent fuckos can tell me why I was at least a minute behind this show even though I never signed off the stream after Art Bell's program. 

I'd say it could be whatever device you are listening on buffers a certain portion of the show before it starts playing.

I set up my application to buffer 90 seconds. Usually with that I very rarely get affected by drops in the stream.

if he has to hear it at all times, wouldn't that mean every time it rings he needs to stop the show and ANSWER it? If I have a phone for emergencies, and it rings, I would assume there was an emergency. Apparently that's just me, though.

Does anyone have some kind of link to the pictures he was talking about?  He never puts it on his Other Side of Midnight web site when he talks about such things.  He also said the other night that there was a pictures of the "crab" on the internet that had been "falsely" enhanced in some way but that there is another that some associate of his worked on that showed things more interesting and I'd like to know where to find that, too.  Enterprise Mission is a mess.

The spaceship he is transmitting from crashes into the earth like a burning ball of hoagie, id say thats an emergency worthy of a phone like that

I'm in the same boat.  I started listening after Art for the trainwreck of technical problems and braaps but now I listen because I've been drawn into RCH's web.  I think he's completely nuts but he's also captivating.

I think the phone audibly ringing shortly after his podcast begins would be a great trademark for RCH.  I really like RCH.  Think he's doing great.

I use VLC on Linux, streams fine, i could see it buffering if you use a phone though.
