I realize the Constitution is vague, but I don't think Obama can run again
According to you he's usurped all Constitutional authority, so what's to stop him?

We will see. But, it could be, like many other a dictator he will just flee with the country's largesse, or at least a decent portion (I hope they check the luggage for White House logo bath robes and towels) to the French Rivera or some other suitable place. I seriously doubt he will go back to his "hometown" of Chicago- at least during the winter-time.

He'll probably spend his winters in his original home state of Hawaii, which is what he does now during the Christmas holidays.

Sadly or not, if you are a regular listen to Coast to Coast you will have heard Jesse Ventura on the show and you will have learned from him how impossible it is for an independent or a third party to get ballot access in many states.

There are 3 existing minor parties with ballot access in all 50 states: the Green Party, the Libertarian Party and the Constitution Party and all are little more than fringe parties.

Oh I know. I wish I still had the illusion I lived in a free country where my Government is always looking out for my best interest too. But this is the New America :'( !!1

I just wish the government would get the fuck out of my way. My greatest fear is that the government will take everything I've earned in my life because of some bullshit tax law.

Surprised this hasn't been posted already:  Major surprise announcement to me, Mitt Romney will not run for president in 2016.  A couple days ago he was basically running.

Others who appear to be out
1.Mike Pence, Indiana Governor, He is now pushing for the state to accept medicaid funding as part of Obamacare.  He wouldn't be doing that if he wanted to run for president. Only John Kasich tries that.  Also, he got into the news a few days ago for his bizarre attempt to set up a state Pravda agency.
That said, he might again consider running for president with Romney not running

2.Donald Trump, probably never serious about running.

3.Pete King, U.S Representive from New York, hasn't done anything to run since saying he wanted to over a year ago.

4.John Thune, South Dakota Senator, told Roll Call a few days ago he was running for reelection to the senate. Of course, he could also reconsider with Romney not running.

This is how I would rank the remaining 20 potential contenders in terms of likelyhood of winning the nomination

Top Tier
1.Jeb Bush
2.Scott Walker
3.Rand Paul
4.John Kasich
5.Ted Cruz
6.Mike Huckabee
7.Chris Christie
8.Ben Carson

And the Rest are here on Gilligan's Island
1.Carly Fiorina
2.Rick Scott
3.Marco Rubio
4.Bobby Jindal
5.Bob Erhlich
6.John Bolton
7.Rick Snyder
8.George Pataki
9.Rick Santorum
10.Lindsey Graham
11.Rick Perry
12.Jim Gilmore

The two cocks Kochs are backing Walker. They and their cronies are putting up $900 Million. More than either party. Game. Set. Match. Jeb's going to be humiliated. And then Hillary. And then, the rest of us.

Fortunately Soros will double whatever the Kochs put in so the Democrats will be fine. Just like he's done in the past.

Jeb should marry Hillary and we can make them king and queen. Think of of the billions the Soros and Kochs average joe citizen would save in campaign contributions. Not to mention all the plastic that harms the environment from those throw away credit cards that people only seem to use for political contributions.

Yeah, that didn't happen.

With the Kochs, you won't get a king, just two princes with storybook-level greed. But they'll look for the middle class; I'm sure.

Who are the Dems going to run?  Or has that been settled?  Haven't been paying attention.

The $900 million part is correct (although I believe they said 'up to $900 million', but the backing Scott Walker part is not.  The Koch brothers are said to be still interviewing prospective candidates and I saw a post on Dave Leip's Atlas Forum today that they are leaning towards backing Marco Rubio.

In July, remember you heard it here first.

It's Walker, all day long. Rubio is good, but it is all fluff, no substance. Besides, he's way too young.

Pete King is neither in nor out:
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/01/31/in-gop-presidential-contest-peter-king-s-race-for-second-place.html
IMO, King is nothing but 9/11 opportunist pandering to, and fanning the flames for fear in NYers.  To paraphrase Joe Biden, all King knows is noun+verb+"Muslim terrorists!!!".

He's also a terrorist supporter.

Glenn Beck had a survey in which Ted Cruz came out on top, getting a letter grade A+.  Sarah Palin was #9, with a letter grade of  B-. I think Lindsey Graham was at the bottom, with an F, and I didn't even know he was running.

On the other hand, a week or so ago, before Medved took his leave of absence, he claimed a survey said that 59% of Repubs think Sarah Palin SHOULD NOT run.  I would have thought  maybe 30 or 40%, but 59, that's a lot.

Myself, I'm still undecided, though some, like Jeb, I am quite unenthusiastic about.  I'm smart enough to not to badmouth any of them too much, because, as a Republican, I may end up having to vote for one of them, since it's very unlikely I would want to vote for the Democrat or 3rd party.

I woke up to let the dog out last night and turned C2C.  There was Gov. Mike Huckabee hawking the secret 30-day Type II diabetes CURE.  Classy, Mike.  Presidential material fersure. The perfect guy to represent the mono-eyebrow wing of the GOP.

I know.  I heard that one too.  I was appalled.

Cure is definately an inaccurate term in this case. But, in some cases, it is close.

In type II diabetes, insulin is still produced by the pancreas. However, the insulin produced isn't enough, the cells use it improperly, or both. Losing weight, eating healthier foods can stem the illness, just not all the time. Walking for a half an hour can reduce blood sugar levels significantly.

It is odd that many people that have gastric bypass almost immediately stop being diabetic. I have no clue as to why.

It's not the marketed "cure"; there's no shortage of those.  But WTF is a guy who just walked away from lucrative TV contract for politics doing pitching a for-profit "natural remedy" on late night radio.  It's like Joe Biden making a radio commercial for that Bosley hair transplant outfit.

My guess is he would suck a dollar from any place he could. He probably knows his chance at the nomination is slim, so get the sucker money now.

I agree.  He's a male Palin, but lacks the excuse of being a dope.
