Does anyone else find the smartphone app's "time slider" to be too sensitive and hard to get it to a time you want? For example I want to go back five minutes and it's just impossible to get it near the desired time you want. Or is it just my fat, clumsy sausage fingers?

not just you... I refuse to use my calendar because it is too frustrating to set the hour and minutes for an appointment.

Using a tablet with a 10" screen, so I have a little more room to work with. But it's still pretty finicky, yeah.

I have been experiencing some frustration with this. It would be great if the implemented some sort of scrubbing-speed feature.

I guess that I am a bit disappointed in Art's first two weeks.  I hope that he can get this thing off the ground-esp since I am weighing the merits of continuing a Sirius Radio subscription.  As for Strieber, -who was about the only interview of interest to me this week- (Hoagland was awful last week), Strieber is a broadcaster also and took over Dreamland (which he destroyed--but that's another matter), so why wasn't someone prepared to go to an alternative  method of getting the guest on line for the broadcast?  I wish Art could get John Lear or Bob  Lazar on for an interview.  The guest roster so far has been underwhelming.

wow !!! wonder what you were listening to ???

I found the last two weeks the best radio listening since Art left last time

I have delicate little fingers and an 8.9-inch Kindle, and I can't get that stupid slider to work properly at all.

SnapT

The slider is a nightmare!  That should be corrected by now.

30 second backward and forward buttons would be nice, too.

Sirius XM should simply look at the TuneIn Radio app and copy its controls.

Secret Terrorists
Sat 09-28

Joining John B. Wells, former electronics engineering officer at the NSA, William B. Scott, will discuss how a dangerous terrorist faction codenamed INDIGO is deeply entrenched in society. They look like us, sound like us, live in our neighborhoods, and pass for respected citizens. But they have a permit to kill, and thousands of Americans are dying.

IF you have an Iphone ( I don't know a thing about Androids except from science fiction ) there's a free app called Griffin Clock that allows you to set an alarm by just sliding your finger across the screen & you can set it for time increments or any time you want.
Hmm, there are apps for tracking Rush Limbaugh anywhere you are in the country so you can hear him on the radio.
Maybe an app to tell you what time Art will come on Sirius anywhere in the world ?

Rush's long time kitty died and he loved her very much.
He got a new one named Allie and she's very cute.
And is already a Steelers fan too !
:D
Rush loves cats and dogs.

@Baron Landscape  Re:  What I am listensing to.

Well frankly your lordship, NOTHING on Thurs when I thought Strieber might be on.

Lets Recap:1)  Hoagland was awful. The kid in Nevada was not very interesting and now Art and or his "producer"  pissed him off, evidently.  I get all the amateur  physics I need out of John Gribbin's books.  SETI is dull.  The rest of the guests were long winded bores.  Art's website is not very impressive and the  SIRIUS program seems a bit pasted together.

2)Who is producing this program?  Frankly a high school kid could do a better job. Having NO BROADCAST on Thurs, was not a hopeful sign.  Art is at his best with a few interesting guests like his friend John Lear, Bob Lazar, Knapp, Kathleen Keating (where ever SHE is), Jim Keith and Father Martin  ( both deceased). Jim Marrs, open line callers.    Linda Howe can be handled by Art but if she gets going without moderation, she will also be a thumping bore.

3) I would like to see Art coax back a  contoversial guest like Sean David Morton.--let him talk about his current dilemma.

4) If you like listening to dead air--fine.  I expect more from Art ,especially after he threw down the guantlet at Snoory in a natl news magazine.  The GOOD news is that Art has more intelligent and interesting callers.

Just registered yesterday eh drano? Nice of Gnoory to send one of his minions to troll Art's thread... that is if you're not the snooreman itself... or possibly SDM - whoever y'are it's obvious you have no taste nor class.

Typical paranoid .  ---Since you asked and felt insecure enough to look up when I registered for your  precious little site-- I have been listening to Bell since l994-- and--BTW-- if you actually READ the commentary even an anacephalic like you might come to realize that only a pre Snoory listener to the original Art Bell could come up with a  favored guest list such as that which was dished out moments ago.  Go join the Baron and listen to some dead air, but don't tell me that cancelled broadcasts are the "best two weeks of listening" etc..  Have a nice day--Farto!

Wow - add pompous and delusional to my previous critique of your posts. This isn't my site -- I'm just a member here... don't confuse me with MV.

Dead air? I didn't say anything about the space between your ears. And there was only one cancelled broadcast - that's singular - not plural. Just guessing you know how to count.

Speaking of numbers -- what year was l994? Guessing you meant to type 1994? Seems someone as SMART as you would know the difference and/or have the manual dexterity to hit the correct keyboard button ... but trolls usually are a lot less intelligent than they think.

And don't tell me to have a nice day drano ... I'll have any kind of day I feel like having.  :P

 Grano,

Holy crap dude what are you listening to? Bell is engaged with his Guest's, he actually
listens to what they say and follows up with relevant questions. If you can not see
that those two men, Dave and Art are in complete diferent universe's there truly is no
hope for you....or you are simply a TROLL.

One is a Master at his craft and the other reads posts or something when he should
be doing his job. I guess that is what happens when you are given something instead
of earning it. BTW, you saved Coast from near death? How do you figure that? When
Bell left the show it was healthy. what you have managed to do is lower the general
IQ of the listener/caller to the near dirt level, there is evidence of that every time you
have the balls to even answer a screened call which is very rare these days. I noticed
the FRIDAY open lines was changed to NO open lines, I wonder why?

These two Host's are night and day. I would not even call Dave a Host, he is a place marker.

Spinner

I'm listening to Art's SIT. I'm really enjoying it because I had not heard this show in a long time. It's from April 1997, with Charles Ostman.

Hmm. Kaku is an amateur despite graduating from Harvard Summa cum Laude holding a Ph.D. in physics. Yet SDM and Whitley, one a shady character according the SEC and the other claiming to be regularly abducted by aliens while trying to sell you books about it, are gold-standard guests. That's one hell of a glass house! I dunno if I'd be calling people paranoid with a train of thought like that.

So what's your real angle? Want to defend Noory, or did Art's producer reject you as a guest, or something else?

Meds work, man.  You should try being more compliant with yours.

Kaku has great academic credentials.  I didn't call HIM an amateur, you just did.  The observation which  you took out of context was in regard to his explanation/exposition of physics for non physicists: i.e. "amateur" physics.  John Gribbin has been doing a fantastic job of explaining quatum mechanics for about three decades his "In Search of Schroedinger's Cat" is a text any REAL sci-fi author knows about, basically because Gribbin acknowledges the second Grand Master of Science Fiction-(guess who) as developing the concept of parallel universes in a manner attractive to the public.  Good job by the way trashing Art's choice of guests past and present.  Are you calling yourself an advocate?  With friends like you who needs enemies.
