Thanks guys.  After many posts here I've kind of said my piece.  But who knows down the road, I may chime back in.

Zeebs... El Hefe... you have provided incalculable laughs in this thread.  Go fight injustice throughout the galaxy, brave squirrel.

...  But this thread continues to provide great humorous moments which I'm sure I'll keep watching for.

And that is what it's really all about.  Don't forget you've made some of the most humorous posts here and thanks for the laughs.

Jorch will never change.  All C2C is good for now is to provide anybody with half a brain fodder for some new laughs each day.  Thankfully, MITD is just around the corner and not only will we have Jorch to laugh at, we'll have first rate radio with Art back on to enjoy.

When life gives you Jorch, make a joke out of it.

Here we go. Big announcement! As predicted.....paranormaldate.com.

I think we should all sign up, just to fuck with it.
Seriously? that was the big announcement? I'm glad it wasn't something else b/c I couldn't stay awake last night anyway.

Paranormaldate is real? offs, I'm looking for a woman that likes long walks in a mental institution.

This is exactly how I feel about this thread too.  It's our own little satirical playground and Dave's got some nerve trying to mess with it.  We shouldn't feel any qualms about mocking him too because, well...because he's so mockable.

Tonight's show any good?
Better than normal, especially for a Norry show. I actually have to admit I didn't hate it and actually liked it, especially the story about the FTC. Norry didn't mess up the story with interruptions or inane questions. Even so some caller said the story was too convoluted or technical :o and it seemed the callers who called in with their bad regulatory experiences were operating, unlike the guest, likely quack medicine stuff like orgone to fight cancer etc. Haven't listened to the ghoststory portion yet so there is still a chance Norry will make it a bad show. But he tried an "Art Bell"-like introduction to the ghost portion.

But last night`s show (the hour or so I as able to listen) George was surprisingly ...good. I know he was rolling out Paranormal date blah blah and that he upped his game the weeks before Art`s last return only to lapse back into laziness ,noted. But last night he was actually conversing with the guest-no long silences and jumping immediately to callers. As I said I only listened about an hour but it was a gaffe-free hour! He even practiced a little humility. It is a shame it probably won`t last.

I agree that George was better than most times during the first half (didn't listen to 2nd half)
I also agree with the caller that the story was convoluted and needed to be simplified to it's basics, which George seemed to pick up on and run with.

After negotiating with my wife/sparring partner, I don't have enough funds to get the mower I really want (the one that makes my peen look bigger). I am about $400.00 short. Now most people would accept that and move on, I however think...

We have been entirely too hard on George Noory. He is an excellent broadcaster. His insight into complex issues, always helps me understand those issues.

$400.00 I too can sell my integrity.

SO, I watched that video again... I was going to say that it looks like Dave had some liquid courage before he recorded that. Then, I remembered, He always looks like that....

I emerged from the house with the dog this morning to find a squished squirrel in the middle of the road. It was all I could do to avoid crying out 'Zeebo! Nooooo!!!!'

Norry did seize on that point made by a caller. I didn't think the story was convoluted or that confusing (or sadly surprising) but, then again, I've been involved in bureaucracy regarding tax and regulatory authorities (thankfully not being prosecuted but just trying to get things done and overcoming some hurdles.) And it can seem Byzantine, and it often is, especially in some countries but even, unfortunately here. What is sad is what that last caller on the segment said: he hired a lobbyist and his problems were sorted out. We've become, almost, the equivalent of Greece or our Middle-Eastern "friends;" some baksheesh is sometimes necessary- but if it is done through a lobbyist or connected lawyer- it is, somehow, legal. And the goal of most Federal agencies seem to be self-aggrandizement and turf-protection/expansion. Shameful.

But Norry did a decent job and so I will offer him a happy birthday and mention that even the threat of competition works, huh? I do think there is room for both shows in our country/world so focus on your show, George.

First me, accidentally touching my Playbook with my elbow while reading zeebo's farewell post, somehow triggering my radio app with a station playing sad piano music (a station I've never listened to), and now you with this.  I guess it's true that the universe mourns when a Jedi Squirrel turns away from the dark side.

Not exactly what I listened to (not even piano) but I like that fact that the Doors covered this.

Norry, some are displeased with what you have become and the company you keep, so they leave.  This applies all across the spectrum.

I love that PremRat pays this asshole to keep using their once great program to further his own ego and wallet. Dave, NOBODY came up to you at a convention and asked you of all people for a dating site. I'm pretty sure if you are female it will just set you up on a date with Jorch anyway. That way, he doesn't have to pay for your buffet at the Golden Coral.

<--send to a lawn mowing thread-->
To get a good mower, etc you can sell integrity. Curious a bit what type of mower and mowing style? For several acres but just around the house not whole place, I like my old Sears riding mower with a normal steering wheel because you can drive with one hand and space, with use of bungee, or keeping an eye on it between legs, a small cooler for beers. And I've learned how to fix everything, replace deck, work out bad engaging etc. In town, smaller lot, I use a normal, also Sears, with those bigger wheels on back but no self-drive crap (more trouble to fix) and a little exercise aint bad. It is also old and some stuff broke so I modified with some zip-ties and good as new. Actually even better! No more safety lever (so easier to pause to remove debris/rocks in path without restarting, manipulate amongst trees, work one-handed in tight spots, etc. I just wear my steel-toes in case of accidents. Knock wood. Also have it 'timed' for how much gas I need and try to run her dry (the new alcohol gas level hurts it and otherwise I need to pull plug wire to stop. Miss it and you get a nice wake-me-up. Lawn-Mower-Of-Death it is called.) I could replace it, but, so much history, and potential danger, I sort of like it. Living on the edge; suburban style. Sad, I know.

A neighbor though near me in town however, swears by those fancy Hondas $$ with multiple self-drive speeds etc and knocks out an acre+ and some elevation (he likes to "smoke up" before and tells me he likes mowing, which I do also but above a normal large lot I like driving. I hire a guy to shred larger portions with his tractor because take too long and if I'm not there enough the 'country' place becomes a jungle quickly and he sorta, almost 'volunteered' to do it because the shagginess was making other places look bad, they live there full time, so a good deal and with tractor pretty quick.)
