I do wonder how 10 million listeners down to 3 to 3.5 million listeners is successful.

The mass media market is a lot more fragmented now.  The finale of M.A.S.H. had 125 million viewers.  Last weeks Breaking Bad had about 5 million.  Bottom line is all radio people live and die by ratings, and George's are good enough to keep getting him contract extensions.  I think it says a lot more about the listening audience than it does about him, frankly.

The show is NOT as much about entertainment as when Art did it, but thats because this planet changed after 9/11.
We still do the vast paranormal and supernatural shows. But we also do conspiracies, alternative health and so much more
. I do about 10 speaking engagements a year around the country to anyways from 500-1500 people per event and they ALL want variety.
Our numbers dont lie, ratings are at an all time high. I see them every month. We had to keep pace with the changing world.
So to answer your question, it's part entertainment and a lot of truth seeking, and sometimes they cross over.

With all due respect, it is more of "We do vast conspiracies, alternative health and so much more shows and also, sometimes do paranormal and supernatural shows." Sadly, Coast has gone from that show I started listening to in fifth grade that would air after Phil Hendrie's show, that kept me awake all night thinking, to a four hour long infomercial for something I honestly don't care about. September 16th can't get here soon enough, I miss those days...
