What kind of a pathetic loser twat would you have to be to show up at a PGA golf tournament and shout 'Baba Booey' every time one of the pros tees off ?

I'm guessing being a golf tournament, the loser twat who wears loud trousers with a diamond shape on their pullover, in pastel shades?

Wait.  Isn't that the guy who hits the little balls with the clubby thing?

Apparently..The bats are used to hit the little ball thing, and the players go on a five mile walk doing it..

What a dick. It is disturbing for the spectators too. Part of the fun is listening to a pro's golf swing.

Golf tournaments would be way more fun if more fans were like this guy.

A bit out of place, too.  How many people who watch pro golf games are Stern fans?

WTf is wrong with that kid's head?

How come people have to be quiet for a man swinging at a stationary ball, on a tee, while not very far away another man is swinging at a ball coming at him at more than 90 miles an hour and crowds of people are screaming like crazy?

Juan

And maybe coming at his head.

Talk about injustice. another notch. I was outside having a cigarette in my backyard. a guy walking a dog walked by. dropped something. i said "what did you drop", because he was right by my porch. I was making conversation. he turned away from me, and he pulled out a box cutter. I said "go your way, no worries". as I backed off, almost to my backdoor with him following me, I said "i'm calling the cops" cops came. gave them the description, tall, fat fucker. in a work shirt. they looked at my table. Saw the beer. called it on their radios "dont worry about it"
So I was sitting in my backyard, having a beer, enjoying the evening, and they think I was so bored, that I concocted this story...
I would call Lincoln, Nebraska the Detroit of America, but it would be an affront to that city.
Enjoying your evening on your own property is a crime. The criminals on the other hand have open carry box cutters. I may jump on this crazy train......

On for 15 min. with bank cust. service, before they figure out they need to transfer me to other dept., at which point they:

* Require all my security info again
* Require me to tell the the whole story again
* Ask me what dept. transferred me to them because that would help them understand the issue, and they don't know

Never understood that, either. The crowd should be in the game at golf and tennis events, just like in every other sport (not sure about cricket).

Next time that psycho decides to walk his mutt past your place, you should be waiting with chloroform, duct tape, and a 2x4...  Leave the rest to your imagination.

Cricket spectator noise rises in proportion to the amount of alcohol consumed at the ground. The most vociferous tend to be Aussie V England matches. I cannot imagine why...  ::)

Yes, and especially when they are multi-day affairs. I was at the Oval when England was playing the Aussies a few years ago (didn't have a ticket but showed up outside to check out the scene and try to get glimpses) and there were people up on top of the nearby houses (roof pitches very severely) drinking lager but could look over the wall to see the match. I was serious looking at them more than the match as I thought "someone is going to die here" and "one of those f*ckers is going to fall on me." As far as I know there were no falls though. Amazing, however. Seeing these kids scramble up the roof tops with a plastic bag filled with some strong lager. No ropes, no ladders, absolutely zero safety.

I experienced the 'Maintenance mode' screen for over 24 hours.
I was locked out Fri 6am till around 10am today. When I'm finally able to get back in, I noticed many had posted during the time period I was locked out. Maybe I should have cleared my browser cache or something.

When things get wonky as you describe above, once I clear the browser cache.
I'll also clear my DNS cache.

To clear your Domain Name Server cache in Windows 7.

Start:> Search box:> "cmd admin" > comand window:> "ipconfig /flushdns"

       Left click the start button.

In the "search programs and files" box type: cmd admin

In the comand window that pops up type: ipconfig /flushdns

Make sure to use a space between ipconfig and /flushdns.

Hit the return/enter key, and you will see a message that says.

       "Windows IP Configuration
Successfully flushed the DNS Cache."

Clearing DNS cache mostly helps clear up problems like "can't find server."
You never know what the site admin may have updated on the server side of things leading to a bad, outdated page.
Even if it doesn't help, it won't hurt anything, and only takes a few seconds to do.

I also saw that "maintenance message" today. But, obviously, it is working now. I figured I got banned or something. But will something like CCleaner (or other similar programs) clear DNS etc? Was the site ACTUALLY down or was this some weird problem with people's browers and DNS cache?

Yes CCleaner Free can flush DNS cache, amongst a boat load of other things.
Depending on what you have CCleaner setup to do, and speed of your computer it may longer to clear DNS cache, than the command line flush option.
CCleaner has been a good goto program for me.
I mostly use it to free up wasted HD space.

Cleaner:> Windows Tab:> System:> Check the "DNS Cache" box.
Dunno whats up with the site the last few days, it's been wonky for me too.
EmmVee (MV), can address this question, if he so chooses.

MV/Liberace!

I moved the forum to a new server. The forum on the old server was left in maintenance mode and the forum on the new server was not. That way, when your dns finally resolved to the new server, you were able to get in and no posts would be lost during the move. DNS caches update at different speeds depending on what DNS server you're using. Most people just use the DNS servers assigned to them by their ISP, but it's best to use opendns which would have cut down on your cache update wait by a LOT.

In my case it took 24+ hours.
All of that wasted time I wasn't able to waste on BG :(

Thanks mang!
But I have a feeling this step by step procedure will change my screen saver to a goatse/cok pic slide show. I'm not falling for that again!
I use my android tablet for bellgab, so that's probably why I was in M. Mode for so long.

Thanks for 411 on the dealio.

Thought Jorch, and Tummy were on a meth binge.
Executing a frantic fingered F5 "DoS" attack.
That was really grinding my gears.

Also, I want a picture of you for my collection.  I'm gonna blow it up and put it on one of the manequinn in my front room.  You will be standing by the picture window with a martini in one hand and a smoke in the other.  The Chevy Chase mane' I'll move over to talk with Boris Yeltsin.  (Chevy will just have to understand.)  I think I will have your mane' talk to  Margret Thatcher, she is one tough dude, so don't piss her off, alright?
