Because we're stayin' alive. And if we can't have Art, we don't want nobody, baby. Because by 10:00 p.m. EDT, 7:00 p.m. PDT, we should be dancing, because we've got night fever. Any other host than Art is just jive talkin'. And even though George Noory is - perhaps - more than a woman, we should be dancing that we don't have to listen to him any more. My only regret is that last week Art had Whitley Strieber on, who could not be dissuaded from discussing his alien anal probe and how deep was his love.

Masterful!  Wordplay is my favorite kind of humor, and few do it as well as you.

Random stupid question:  Do we have any posters here who once regarded themselves as big sports fans who now have lost all interest in sports?  I was a HUGE sport fan:  I'd watch SportsCenter constantly, knew a fair chunk of the rosters on most of the big four sports in America, could say who was in the top ten in NCAA football... I don't know what happened, but somehow the NFL football season is over 25% done, I can't name all the teams in baseball post-season play, have no idea who's hot in college football, and so forth.

I think I just got exhausted with primadonna athletes, big-money teams buying championships, and so forth.  Maybe I'm just getting old....

I have much less interest in sports.  Probably because I disconnected cable in 1998.  I usually, but not always, watch my local alleged NFL team, and watch my Georgia Bulldogs when they're on over-the-air TV, but baseball, NBA, NHL, I rarely watch.  I'm spending my time sampling all the music channels I get on Sirius.  I'm now listening the the Krishna Das channel.  Damn, those Tibetan monks can burp.

I was a huge college football fan, big MLB fan, medium NFL fan, got interested in college hoops in March. Over the past 3-5 years - pfft. I may watch parts of a college football game or two on Saturday. I watched my first BB game of the season Monday night. Stayed in for two innings.

I just detest everybody in sports now it seems. As for the college sports, I'm disgusted to think I'm watching semi-professionals play, 90% of whom couldn't hope to get or stay in college had they not been able to run a 4.3 40 or hit a try 40% of the time. NFL, I'm sick of watching tattooed steroid freaks being paid a king's ransom to play for a different team every 2 years. MLB - just can't care. They've all become divorced from anything resembling my life.

That last part really covers it for me... I can name one college football player because his name keeps popping up on the front page of my internet home page.  I can't say what school Manziel attends, but I know the name.  It just seems like most big-time athletes (there are always exceptions) are pampered brats with no concept of how fortunate they are to be celebrated and well-paid to play a child's game.

He's at Texas A&M.  There's no doubt he's very talented but he's not wearing it well.  I'm no Aggie fan, though.  I still enjoy college football but I have to grit my teeth a lot and ignore the off-the-field shenanigans.  For some reason, pro football usually bores me anymore.  And what's with all this pink gear on the field?  ;)  Yes, I know, I'm terribly politically incorrect.  Bah humbug.

BWAAAAHAAAAHAAAAA!!!  I saw this pic elsewhere without seeing the caption, and thought it was an actor portraying the Founding Father.

"Good evening, my good sirs! I greet you with the hand sign of the Great Eye, in the spirit of brotherhood of all Masons good and true. Be so good as to make some room before the fire if you please. For it is a bitter cold night, and I feel the need of ale and slatternly company. So, boy! Boy, there! Bring me beer! Beer and whores! And let me tell you about my latest experiments with electricity. And if we linger here more than just a few pipes and tankards, I'll tell you lads about my visit to The Hellfire Club when I was last in London......"

How this film came into my head today baffles me. The child catcher terrified me as a kid. More than any horror films.

Hahahaha... ;D  Poor Ben.  Reincarnated as an anti-Founding Father.  In the IRS, of all godforsaken places.

A story over at the NPR website says research reveals that "fast-food chicken nuggets are 50% actual meat at best"...  I shudder to think what composes the remaining "meat":  tumors, organs, etc.  I think I've had my last McNugget....
