My first year of Burning Man I was invited to take an airplane ride with Bongo the pilot while he was enjoying his Mescaline. I assisted with the construction of "THE MAN". I also enjoyed giving hair washes in our GEOD that we had created. And of course my favorite radio host was Dusty Balls. I did not stay over for the clean up crew detail. How about you?

My theory is the Monoliths are the interdimensional equivalent of a nautical navigation buoy. Although they sound to be less flashy and visible than I would expect for navigation purposes. I am less impressed with them after discovering they are stainless steel. I thought they would be crystal, or marble.
