Dietrich is a liar and a fraud  he is under Federal investigation as is VBA employee Gary States.  It cannot be stopped,

I think Douglas just said he is having Gary States on next Saturday.

Dietrich bases his credibility on false claims of being a US Marine and DoD Employee. He claims to have been awarded a Combat Action ribbon during Desert Storm.  Dietrich received an Entry Level Separation (ELS) in boot camp. He was never a US Marine and according to the Defense Department Manpower Data Center he was never a DoD employee. As far as stolen valor goes, he sells DVDs and receives donations.  He also claims financial support of two sponsors regarding his radio show and speaking engagements.

I agree with all you say about Dietrich but I think you are being a bit pretentious in using the name Gunner65 together with the Marine Corps emblem.  You spent 6 years in the Corps and got out as an E-3 with a Reenlistment Code of RE-4 which means you were not eligible for reenlistment.   Gunner is a term of respect that applies to Marine Corps Chief Warrant Officers.

I spent 4 years active duty and two years Individual Ready Reserve (IRR).  A six year contract. The term "Gunner" refers to my MOS as an 0351 Anti-tank Assaultman or M-47 "Dragon Gunner".  It was also the name of my Choco Lab who was killed in an accident in 2013. You said last week I was a Chief Warrant Officer and you were wrong.  And to my knowledge the term "Gunner" does also refer specifically to Marine CWO Weapons Specialists.  (One of my SNCOS actually became a CWO "Gunner" who recently retired - Geltmacher.) You claim over 20 years in the US Navy retiring with the rank of Lt. Commander and you obviously know I have a Honorable Discharge so I have every right as a USMC Veteran to use the EGA emblem because unlike Dietrich, I earned it.  I have never claimed to have been a Marine CWO Weapons Specialist.  That was your mistaken perception Sir.

You had a chance to correct my misperception in your first response.  That struck me as evasive.

Yes. I did have a chance to correct you and did not. I had placed my settings in order to not receive notifications.  I had no idea that such a rare title given only to USMC Warrant Officers would ever involve me.  I should have confronted you with it but the thread had moved on.  I was not being evasive. I have used "Gunner65" for years and you are the first to ever make any connection to the actual Title of "Marine Gunner"  and I actually appreciate that.  Because my former SNCOIC at Capas Tarlac, RP Dan Geltmacher actually did it.  He was a SSGT in 1985 and became an E-7 and then a CWO. It is a rarely used Title that even most Marines are not aware of.

I followed the careers of many of my former Officers and SNCOS's through the years.  Garganus became a Major General; Nicholson became a Major General.  Bratton became a SGTMAJ and Small became a SGTMAJ.   I never thought my use of "Gunner65" would ever become an issue.  And did not want to correct you here.  I should have handled it but I chose to ignore it rather than correct someone claiming to be a  US Naval (LDO) Officer.

Unfortunately I have been attacked for so long that I prefer to identify possible threats before commenting further.  If you like we can arrange to PM one another or exchange e-mail.  But it is not my service history that is at issue here.

I don't claim to be anything.  I am a retired Navy LCDR. I went from E-1 to E-7 to WO-to CWO3 to LTJG to LCDR.  I am also a Qualified Submariner.  I'f you'd like I can show you my ID card or DD214N so you can look me up in the Navy Register of Officers.  How about a picture of my shadow box.  I've got nothing to hide.  No critical omissions. Contact me by PM.
