Are you going to be adding funklbaldy's SIT rips or joining mp3s of the post-2003 shows?

Yeah all of funky's stuff is there.
I got most of the post 2003 shows and they are already joined so I just have to rename them.

Update: search TPB for the title of this thread. I am in the process of seeding my server, but ya'll can start the download if you want. let me know if you have any problems/questions. If you see any glaring mistakes or errors I can work with that. I plan on releasing update packs when I get enough new material.

Enjoy! Its 603 shows, 21gb.

I just received another email from Funklbaldy today, this whole situation is much more complicated for him than i previously thought. Hopefully he can get back on his feet sometime soon.

Yeah I got that email too, so as far as his stuff is concerned, we should expect it to fade away eventually. Hopefully he keeps paying his hosting fee though.. I hope he can get his life reorganized soon :)

I didn't work much on it this past week, but it is basically finished. I will update you all this weekend. Thanks!

Some of the shows after 2004 are actually rebroadcasts of some shows from 2003.  I'm trying my best to catalog these.

On your server, how are the files tagged?  Like, artist, album, etc?

I haven't tagged them yet, but I plan on just doing artist (art bell). I really don't feel like taking all the time to do individual guests and topics. My goal isn't to have the most collector friendly collection, just the most complete audio wise. If that makes sense.

I'm preparing to release my 1992-2003 torrent. It's not "complete" but it will be the most complete one on the net as far as I can tell. I plan on releasing "update packs" when I get a reasonable amount of new stuff.

Hey everyone,
I am currently building up my collection of shows from wherever I can find them. I've got a good deal already, but I know there must be some people with a lot of rare shows that aren't freely available on the internet.

I'm basically looking for people to contact about obtaining shows. I've already hit up many people (malacoid, funklbaldy, etc), but I know there are more who have stayed less visible.

Years that i am most interested are:
Totals current year totals:
1992 : 1 (not really expecting much more)
1993 : 1
1994 : 19
1995 : 45
1996 : 34
1997 : 100
1998 : 62
1999 : 64
2000 : 27
2001 : 89
2002 : 91
2003 : 44

As you can see, I'm really hurting for 95,96,00,03 shows.

My end-goal is to make the best and most complete Art Bell torrent around. I'm tired of seeing torrents with random shows, random dating schemes, and 9 parts to them. All of the shows I have are merged into single files and labled yyyy-mm-dd - Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell - topic - guests

If you would like to contribute or know someone who could help that would be great. Thanks everyone.

I've been listening to the Paranormal podcast off and on for a few years now, its a very high quality production. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great podcast.  Another good one is the Conspiracy show with Richard Syrett.

Hey East of the Rockies if your still interested I'd be willing to do it with you. We could split the costs and considering I known a lot about about computers I could help you build a dedicated streaming computer for under $300. I had been looking into moving my show from blog talk radio because of the cost and the poor audio quality not to mention like 100 other limitations.   :D

my offer is still good, i can do 150 slots for free, only a few bucks for more. let me know

I used to listen to this show all the time, but I don't have as much time to listen to podcasts any more. It was/is a really great show. Another decent one I found was the Conspiracy Show with Richard Syrett from Canada. They are both really great.

well, fineart has 10,000 slots already, so i figured they wouldn't need any of my bandwidth ;)

MV, do you still have a large Art Bell collection?

id recommend finding a reasonable shoutcast stream host and then using an older computer to broadcast from. that way you can keep your costs low and still have a large capacity.

If you'd need a server to broadcast to, let me know. I could do it for free. I have a lot of spare bandwidth on my server. Already relaying u7 and funky's streams 24/7.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who really enjoyed it. There was something all too real about those tapes, it couldn't have been a star or a balloon. Simply amazing radio.

It wasn't scared of the police, that's all I know!

Are there any similar shows for the Phoenix Lights?
#412
Last night I was listening to U7, and the Trumbull County UFO sightings show came on. I couldn't stop listening! I don't remember the last time any radio program has had me that interested. I'd have to say that this one is up there with Mel's hole. Best show I've heard in a long time.

For those of you with large collections, its 02/26/1999. Just fantastic radio.  8)

After some thinking (and widgets post  :P) I have decided to discontinue the podcasts. School has been much busier than I expected, and I haven't had time to update it as often as I wanted. Thanks to those who used it, but if I can't give a project the time required then I wont let it continue. Continue to listen to Funkys streams though, as they play the previous nights episode all day long.

Podcast is updated to 9-30-12 today. It is sort of a mess however, as I had to regenerate the XML, but just make sure to read the file names. The old stuff and new stuff is all mixed in together, this should clear up with weekly updates. Have a great week!
#415
nope, not yet. I hope they never come, he's not hurting anybody, that's for sure
#416
yeah, he was out of town for the weekend, visiting family and the like. He should be back soon though, no worries. He was also having some hardware problems with one of his servers, but I believe they were ironed out.
#417
No problem analog :)
#418
haha i didn't even realize that :P

Its from a online cartoon called the "Uncel Dolan"

I *could* add the older shows, the only problem is that I don't have a whole lot of hdd space on my VPS. But I could definitely throw up random shows in the mix. That would be pretty cool. I'll do that on my next batch :)

I'll probably update it twice a week, it takes less time than I thought.

Edit: I put up quite a few oldies, should keep ya'll busy for a few nights :)
#420
they will be individual shows, for example:

Coast to Coast - Sep 07 2012  - Open Lines

but probably uploaded 5 at a time. If that makes sense  ;)
