Boy, for me it's a tossup between Jorch and Vincent Price. Tough decision.  ::)

I'll be honest: it's a toss-up, whether I'd rather listen to Snoory, or stick my ears six inches into the loam on top of Price's gravesite. It's arguable which outcome might teach me more.

Arguable. Is there a webforum where I can argue that? Asking for a friend.

I'm turning this loser off. Obvious clactor is painfully obvious.

Better luck at church tomorrow morning, Sinners!!!

Ha!  Yeah, right.  A toss up between a bungling fool and a master at his profession.

Ever hear of Bellgab? If you don't like it, there is always the "spin off" of Ellgab where people will not be allowed to savagely critique your argument.

I saw that reading of Poe years ago and still remember it. I believe it was one of Price's best "performances" even if it was not really acting in a film. His ability to show "madness" so convincingly is true horror- not a chainsaw slasher.

As you said- a true "master." *

*This is not to take anything away from Noorie who is also a master at his chosen profession of duping a large corporation into cutting him a large cheque every couple of weeks.

Heh, heh, heh ... Jorch, the master asshat scammer.

Mosquitoes and counseling.

Would someone please take this "paranormal, fringe late night talk radio show" behind the barn and fooking shoot it?

I'll allow it. I mean... that's one way to find out if I'm bulletproof or not. I also don't carry the way at this point.

HOWEVER: I have just been informed that "mosquitoes" is our double-down daily donut word of the day bonus word, so... At least all y'all got that going for you.

Hell in a hand basket, another annoying, airhead, woo woman last night. Five minutes of that was five minutes too many. GNS.

Uncle Duke

Listened to George's interview with the "Psychic Lawyer," callers were invited to ask him if the spirit of a loved one was around them.  I hope the guy is a better lawyer than he is a cold reader.

Ha!  If he was a decent lawyer and had any sense, he wouldn’t have been wasting his time posing as a psychic with George Norway. ;)

Something I don't get--and I never have--is how you "skeptics" are always ready to assume that it's the reader that is recalcitrant, and the possibility that the spirits simply aren't in the mood to be chatty at that time, never gets mentioned?

Is it somehow "settled science" that entities on other planes of existence are always gonna be up-and-at-'em whenever some Punyling swaddled in a meatsuit wants some answers? Think about it--do you always give a dollar bill to every panhandler with his adorable little tin cup out?

You guys are pretty weaksauce at this, I'm not gonna lie. I would have thought that over the years, you would have had enough practice to actually be good at skepticism. It's an actual discipline, you know. Have you even read the Wikipedia page on it? Probably not.

I heard they have Wikipedia blocked at Quantico. Probably a good idea. Geek/Nerd/Autist/Fascist/Thug porn is the worst.

So you're saying if the spirits aren't chatty, the psychic should go ahead and use obvious stage magic techniques?

This audience was fish in a barrel for a good cold reader.  He asked them to specifically identify who they were looking for
around them.  As expected they were, with one exception, all parents/spouses, and all the callers clearly older, if not elderly.  He tells them things like he sees heart disease, cancer, respiratory issues, diabetes, and gastrointestinal problems associated with the deaths of those around them.
Considering those are the most common cause of death in the elderly, he wasn't reaching much.  And when his diagnosis of 2-3 of those illnesses was not correct, his answer was he must be getting a message from a different spirit than the one he was asked to look for. He'd then ask if they knew anyone who'd died from the illness he incorrectly identified, and of course they all did.  So he was getting the message not from the departed husband, but from the grandmother who did die of respiratory failure.

Oh, that's rich. Like that one is new to me. Spectacular massive rolleyes. I can't wait to tell Grapefruit this one. She'll be happy to verify: I've been using that one on her for many, many months now.

I even remember the date that I brought it back. Do any of your comments ever resemble reality? Asking for a friend.

So you're saying

Aboviously, any guest on today's modern C2CAM is a charlatan and a fraud--that's why they're allowed on the air. C'mon, Mang--you're not new here. Further, it's inanely disingenuous to say something akin to, "well, all these people talking to Noory are intentionally lying... therefore, the entire notion is humbug balderdash clap-trap."

That's not science, that's not skepticism, and that's not very impressive. You can do better. Are you allowed to? What are you... patched? Yeesh.

Which was my original point.  The guy is a obviously a charlatan, but not a very skilled one.

That's peculiar. It came across quite differently over here.

Ooh, Jimmy doesn't do straightforward.

Horseshoes, hand grenades, high-explosive airbursts--all good enough for government subtext.
