Last night Noory mentioned for tonight's Friday show he will have a guest that will talk about huge birds swooping down to snatch people.
Why hasn't one come down and snatched Noory and taken him away? ;)

Birds don't pick up sh*t, they drop it.

It must have been one of those huge birds that dumped Snorge. Really Huge. Enormous, in fact.

In short, barring some behind the scenes exclusivity arrangement, I think Art COULD use that theme--it's just a question of if he would WANT to, and how much flack Premiere would give him over it.

I doubt Art would want to use it again. It's been tainted by a Snoorific stench. I believe Art would want a fresh start and clean cut from the current version of C2C.

However, I would love to see Art's fans swamp C2C with requests to stop using all of Art's most familiar old bumper music if Art does return to radio. That is, not just the Midnight Express theme song by Chase, but also the songs by Matisse and Cusco that Art helped make famous.

I'm sure Snorge would be thrilled to record his renditions of Elvis or Sinatra tunes to be used as the intro and closing numbers.  ::)

Had to get this in before work, lest I be thinking about it all day. Myself, count me out due to my fears of Premiere ninja men stalking me from my bushes, but has anyone sent that douchebag Noory a fastblast giving him shit about the recent status of Art Bell?

I've sent multiple FastBlasts, a couple of emails (to both Snorge and Tom) and even a couple of text messages about Art's possible return. To no one's surprise, I've never received a response to any of them. But I still enjoy sending them just to annoy Snorge, Tom or whoever at PremRat reads them. I figure one way or another my comments make their way to Snorge so mission accomplished.

A true hater hates. What can I say? I can't help myself.

... based on what i'm able to see in his personality, i think he genuinely believes he can weather an art bell storm.  he's become convinced of his greatness.

You may be right. There's no doubt that Snorge is delusional.

I didn't hear the show but I can surmise if the guest didn't speak much then Noory knows he cannot carry the show.  Gotta get a talker on there so Noory can just say "yup" "nope" "was it an angel" and mix it up a little by adding "hummph".

Actually, Gough's quantity of conversation seemed fine to me. (I can't address the quality of content since I wasn't paying close attention.) That's what was so weird about the unexpected ending. Snorge wasn't being asked to do much which, as you pointed out, is exactly the way he likes it.

It's bad enough that Jorch has ruined Coast. Worse that some of us continue to tune in. Like flies drawn to shit.

Yeah, well... I only half-listen -- mostly to laugh at Snorge's screw-ups -- and even then it's only on occasion. (I do enjoy Knapp's shows though.) I also admit to taking sick pleasure in listening for signs of Snorge panicking at the thought of Art returning to radio.

Update:

Just tried to email Gough. I received a message saying my email couldn't be delivered because Gough's mailbox was full. Guess there might be quite a few people wondering what happened and not pleased about the abrupt ending.

Noory did it again tonight, dumping his main guest after only one hour with no explanation at all:
Editor-in-Chief of The Heretic Magazine, Andrew Gough, will discuss his work researching the lost traditions and symbolism celebrating the sacred honey bee in ancient cultures.

Noory brought in one of his regular guests, Joshua Warren, in the 3rd hour as a substitute.
Wonder what the main guest did to incur Noory's wrath? Or maybe he was just too intelligent for Noory?

Maybe Gough dumped Snorge, not vice versa.   ;D

In any case, it was totally unprofessional of Snorge not to say a single word about why the scheduled guest was gone. I mean, even a simple apology for the sudden change in schedule without further comment would have been far more professional than saying nothing at all.

I'm gonna email Gough and Snorge and ask each of them what happened. I'm not sure either one will respond, but if they do, I wonder if their explanations will match?

First of all, is everyone able to listen to this? I have gotten no responses on this, and would love to hear opinions, good or bad. Somebody please let me know if you can at least listen to this. I have been sitting on this for years, and this is my first forum that I have found to be worth my time. I'm a big boy, I can take it. RESPONSES, PLEASE!!!!!

I believe it's not your voice and it does kind of sound like "don't come back". I have no idea what's making the sound but the quality is no worse than some EVP recordings I've heard from "experts". In any case, it's pretty cool and kinda creepy at the same time. Thanks for sharing!

Having been in broadcasting, I would think a syndicator would be interested in either seven nights a week, five weekday nights, or two weekend nights.  If the show is not all seven nights, the stations have to fill the other nights.

Art said many times that he enjoyed working only on the weekends. I'd be that's what he's after, but who knows?

I agree that the 7 weekdays, 5 weekdays or 2 weekend nights are the most likely scenarios. And I'd bet on 2 nights/weekends-only as the winner. But ideally I'd like an Art show mid-week simply for my own selfish sake.   ;D

I'm thinking that Art might come back on a part-time basis, at least initially. So for starters, I'd like to see Art get a show that's broadcast one weeknight (T, W or Th) and another on Saturday night. Then I'd love to see Art steal Knapp from C2C to do a Sunday night broadcast. That would give me 3 quality shows per week and that would be fantastic. I could always listen to Schrader on the other nights if I really needed a fix. Best of all, I could forget about listening to C2C entirely -- even for laughs!

Of course I'd love to hear Art do a show every night but I'm not sure if he wants to devote that much of his life to late night radio at this point. But who knows?

ANY Art is better than no Art, and a billion times better than a Snorge.

George has stunk it up to the point Art knows it's hopeless.  If Art isn't PO'ed, he at least must be saddened.

Actually, I emailed Art this past Sunday (the 27th) and he responded Monday (the 28th).  In my email, I ripped Snorge and what's happened to C2C. I also asked Art if he had any news about his possible return. Without directly insulting Snorge, Art acknowledged my frustration and sympathized. He also mentioned that his return was dependent on getting an offer that met his needs. I'd like to think my email helped prompt him to post an update on his FB page yesterday but that may have been pure coincidence. (Yes, Snorge, I said it might be a coincidence. Nyah-nyah!)

I thought about posting my email to Art, Art's response and my response to his response but I thought it would be tacky to do so without his okay, sort of like repeating a private conversation. As it turns out, Art provided a public update so posting/not posting the emails doesn't matter now.

Is it possible George is genuinely rattled by Art's announcement? He seemed even more than usually appalling last night. Some of his atrocities have already been catalogued, but the first hour was quite breathless.
The 'hemmeratoomerastroke' that afflicted Ariel Sharon has been posted: can anyone find and post the clip of him trying to wrap the forked tongue around the name of the retiring Secretary Of State? It seemed to come out as Hilurrr Clinn'nnn (11:35 on YouTube). And, btw, the discussion of Hillary's ageing over four years in post - including his description of her now as 'horrible' - was just disgusting. Introducing Richard Heinberg, he managed to somehow turn the title of his book which is, quite simply The End Of Growth, into an extraordinary combination of nonsense that sounded like 'Energy Over Developmenanananandelusion Of Growth'.
Mitch Battros' daughter just made the skin crawl and is best passed over in silence, but how about the point at which he carefully read out The Numbers Lady's phone number on air? Glynis mumbled something away from her phone. George did his annoyed 'Where did you go?' thing and Glynis told him she was just putting a Do Not Disturb on the number he had just read out on the air. What would he be thinking doing that? Sheer unprofessionalism.
Why is he suddenly obssessed with Ariel Sharon and his comma toes? Glynis actually corrected his pronunciation, which prompted sNoory to try to correct her pronunciation of Sharon's name. Nothing to do with pronunciation, in fact, just one of Doughboy's ludicrous accents which just involved rolling every available 'r'.
Was Glynis screwing with George? From early on, she seemed to be deliberately pausing every time he mumbled a non sequitur while she was talking. When he offered Sharon's birth date as 'Feb' 26, she asked him to repeat it, which he did, but she came back with 'What was that first bit?'. He did manage to spit a February out in response to that, but resorted to the short form shortly afterwards when informing us that he has a 'major speech' to deliver in the 'second week of Feb'. Major speech? From a man who can't pronounce the months of the year? Who does he think he is, anyway, with his major speeches? The fucking President?
The call from Joe who was Gerald was great. Noory still saying 'Good luck, Joe' at the end of the call, which led Glynis to correct him. It just seemed to go on and on and on.
Also claimed that calls are unscreened! 'We find out where you're calling from, but we don't screen you.'

It was a never-ending stream of incompetence, creepiness and hilarity at a quite extraordinary level, even by his miserable standards.

Conclude your talks soon, Art, and put us out of our misery. GEORGE NOORY SUCKS

Excellent summary and commentary on last night's disaster.

Snorge introduced the first caller as "Joseph" from "Ass-tabula, Ohio."

Too bad the guys's name was GERALD and he was from AsHtabula.

Snorge finishes the call with, "Good luck, Joe."

Good grief.

The Number's Lady has been making predictions via numerology on various celebrities tonight.
Next hour Noory is taking callers for her, so somebody call in right now and ask her to do a numerological reading on Art Bell about his possible return to national radio broadcasting in the near future...

Funny you should suggest it. I sent another FastBlast asking that! (Just to aggravate whoever reads the FastBlasts. Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!)

Yes, you're right. I'm a proud hater as far as Snorge is concerned. Not likely to change either, as long as he's fouling up the air waves.

Ha ha.  ArtGab, maybe?

A new show will surely have a new name. So you might have to wait and see what it will be called, if it becomes a reality.  Unless it's "The Art Bell Show."

It's a shame Art couldn't keep the "Coast to Coast" show name and force Snorge to re-name his show.

lol, true. I'm guessing Tommy reads the fast blasts and passes them on to Snorge if Tommy thinks they need an on-air response. I already sent it so we'll find out soon if there's any impact or if it's ignored.

There's a new message posted on that fan site (People who miss Art Bell). Also supposedly from Art.

"I want you all to take a deep breath. I said we are talking, it is not yet a done deal. When I have details I will tell you all right here. It has to be the right deal!"

I ask again, where is ART's FB page? These messages are on a fan page that claims they are from Art's FB page.

whatever.  there's always coastgab.

So is the person who runs that site credible or not? He/she just posted a second message from Art.
