Well thankfully here isn't the totality of radio listeners. I mean I'm a huge JBW fan but even he puts me to sleep almost a quarter of the time. So this... No dice. If Heather can get her shit together, address all the Bellgab accusations head on without cowering and crying, stop modulating her voice, stop with the BS... etc etc (very long list) I still say she wins over Schrader. I don't see how this, in this format with this host, can improve.

I don't agree about Heather's potential, but I'm not any more excited about this show than I was when I heard Schrader coming on Coast for the evening. I'm about to switch over there, as it happens...

So now the question is, why did Dave take the gig?

Other than being an occasional guest host on C2C it looks like the only regular gig he’s got going is a daily recorded podcast, do those make any money? He used have a local Twin Cities show but it looks like that is done. He’s probably looking at this as an opportunity build something. It’s a long shot but maybe he and Keith can pick up a handful of affiliates, sell some advertising and make a steady income.

Been a huge fan of Dave since the early days of Darkness Radio in Minneapolis, couldn't be happier with this move as I felt Beyond the Darkness was a steep decline from Darkness Radio.

Will Dave still fill in on C2C?  Not sure if he said anything- I missed the beginning of the show and would rather listen in its entirety once uploaded.

I'd say they'd want to stick with the spark of the Red Eye guys even with their asinine topics as to not be sued by people falling asleep at the wheel. This has managed to be more dry than John Batchelor.

Who leads into Red Eye, it is JB?  Red Eye is trucker oriented and the possibility of Cumulus/Westwood One having multiple stations in a market is strong.

Dave appears to be doing his own show his own way, no more Art Bell bumper music, etc.
Though the old show name doesn't make sense now since Dave isn't in a desert - so perhaps he should change the show name too and make it totally his own.
Does the bumper music sound possibly non-commercial to avoid the copyright issues and extra payments Keith had to make for Art's music?
