I'm going to be listening. Please send out a power point presentation. I have people coming over tomorrow, I need to sound like I understand what is going on.

Peyton greatest QB ever?

Good grief.  Here are my Top Ten, Joe Montana #1, the rest in no particular order.  Which of them does Peyton Manning beat out?:

Montana
Brady
Marino
Bradshaw
Staubach
Elway
Stabler
Unitas
Otto Graham
Sammy Baugh

Hell, I'd argue Roethlisberger is a better QB than Manning.

Also, I forgot to mention that when I worked at that Browns/Broncos game last fall, I worked with a guy named Mike Marcum.

I won't say Peyton is the greatest ever.  Frankly, I don't think any QB of the last 10-15 years anyway should be ranked as the best ever without a big asterisk.  These guys have been overprotected and not subjected to the wear and tear their predecessors endured.  I do think Peyton has been the best of the last quarter century career wise.  Brady has played on better teams, but it was really never a question in my mind who was the better QB.  Marino was the best young (first 2-3 years) QB of my lifetime- his 1984 is the greatest single season in that span in my opinion.  But he plateaued early in his career.  Everyone wants to say Brady is the greatest because of the rings, but if that's your criterion you have to go with Graham.

I am surprised to see Marino on your list.

Not really arguing or ready to name others in place, but Marino always seemed like a good quarterback, but with great hype, a made for TV kind of guy.

I don't think you place any qb from any era at the top of the all time list. From my POV it's either you are hall of fame quality or not, no need to rank them.  I would guess that any qb from the last 20 years would fail playing in the league 40 years ago and vice versa.

My preferred outcome for this game is for Osweiler to come off the bench and pull out the win

;D ok..ladies. let's get ready to rumble! I'll start posting photos after kick-off and will post mainly during the first half because I hope to be too involved in an exciting game in the second half.

Beer's (Modelo Negra) chilling. About to make the guacamole, fresh tomato salsa and hummus. Pizza at halftime.  Serious fans who will shut up and watch the game invited.  8)

I see that CBS is broadcasting the game for this year.  I hope they do away with those annoying mini promos that they sneak in between plays.  I like to hear the announcers talk about the game...not what's coming up on CBS.  That said, am eager to see the game.  Rooting for Denver but have a feeling that Carolina will win it.  Hope I'm wrong.

I agree, really hoping the classless team loses, they probably won't.

So many commercials and other bs, 2 weeks of crap, we don't want any more of it during the game.  All the stats, profiles, clips, promos, pointless happy talk, all the junk should be done in the pregame show.  If we cared and wanted to know all that, we'd already know it.

Almost time for my bike ride
