I would love to see the thug players get arrested and dragged off the field in handcuffs, and not just in football.  How are some of those illegal hits not crimes?

:o I just typed out a 2 paragraph analysis of today's games. Posted it, then thought maybe some people recorded the games but haven't watched them yet. Which I often do. So immediately removed it.

I hate spoiler shitheads and I was almost one of them.  :-[.
Do we have any particular parameters here on how much we can say and when? If I put Spoiler Alert first does that make it ok?

So let me just summarize with: KC/Houston: huh. Pittsburgh/Cincinnati: wow

On to tomorrow  8)

I thought you were a conservative?  Do you need capitalism explained to you?

I think when the thread already contains the outcomes of the games that it is safe to talk about the outcome of the games.  It's admirable that you are avoiding spoilers, but you don't need to go overboard.  Just use common sense.

Long time Bengals fan here.  Some of you are really making football out to be more complicated than it is.  The Bengals win that game if Jeremy Hill doesn't fumble with 1:36 remaining.

2 idiots ruined your season.  From the looks of things at the end, if they hadn't some of the other morons standing around getting into it with Jerry Porter would have

The NFL 'leadership' is horrible.  How many players do the goons put on IR

The two idiots opened the door at the end.  But Jeremy Hill opened the driveway gate.  The Steelers aren't in that situation if Hill takes care of the ball.

Anyone recording games to watch later should know enough to not open this thread.

Most people watch the games live or that same day, it's not like the movies when it could be days or weeks

Or if Thuggo doesn't try to kill Antonio Brown.  Or if Jones doesn't act like a gigantic faggot.

Once, twice, three times a lady, and 25 years of playoff utility and counting.

I don't disagree with you, homey.

Thanks, PB. Kind of what I thought but didn't want to ruin anyone's Playoff Experience

New episode is Here

Listening to a little bit of the replay, you are talking about the percentages ESPN posts next to the scores.  As you mentioned, they clearly aren't the % of wins v. losses, and I've wondered about that too.

Could it be the percentile that entry is in compared to the rest of the ESPN entries?

I'm not sure the NFL is a capitalist enterprise, it's certainly not free market capitalism - the league itself or the individual teams.

The public provides most teams with expensive stadiums to play in.  New teams aren't free to form and enter the league, and the existing teams need league approval to move.  Young players are forced to play for the team that drafts them rather than having the ability to play for whoever they can make their best deal with.  Certain decisions are made at the league level which are binding on the individual teams.

They are capitalist in that they compete with other forms of entertainment for our entertainment dollars, although most of their money comes from TV deals - which is shared equally.

Then there's the $18 beer..

Yeah, I am surprised anyone with any comprehension of "the big leagues" can spew hatred of the government, yet love pro-ball, especially football.

Well, people don't hate the government, just the wasteful and overly intrusive parts.  And people love the games, not the owners and league officials.

The important thing about last night's game was the balls were properly inflated

OK, I think I get that. Well, I get that others get that. I don't get that.

the Vikings are getting tired. They look like they lost their edge in the 2nd half.
The hawks have a way of wearing a team down in the 4th quarter

cweb

Wow. What a choker. 27 yards, too. Less than the extra point.
